London Ineligible Player - woelkers - 07-27-2024

Hello, ISFL.

It has been brought to DSFL Head Office’s attention that the London Royals listed a DSFL ineligible player on their depth for weeks 1, 2, and 3 of the DSFL season. This happened after the team was notified of the player's ineligibility by DSFL HO.

DSFL HO has reviewed the situations, including relevant precedent, and, following discussion, has decided to levy the following punishment:

- @OrangeJulius will be assessed a fine of $3M.
- @SensibleDictator will be assessed a fine of $3M.

Relevant precedent in this matter stems from an incident in which Portland included ineligible players on their depth chart (here) and an incident in which Kansas City included an ineligible player on their depth chart (here).

As always, OrangeJulius and SensibleDictator are entitled to appeal by reaching out to @Attopax or any other member of the Appeals Team.

Real talk tho, I feel like fines need to be higher for these. $3M is literally only a quarter of what a GM makes for GMing one season, and GMs need to be able to know who is eligible and who is not, especially coming into an entirely new season.

What about vacating wins that involve ineligible players? Or is that too harsh?

@Asked Madden our punishment was so quiet, they're excluding us from the precedent list!

So does @SensibleDictator being on probation have any impact here? Little feller is becoming the most generous GM in the league.... 21M and counting!
