What is a 50/50 raffle?
A 50/50 raffle is a type of fundraising event where participants purchase tickets for a chance to win a prize. The name comes from the fact that half of the proceeds from ticket sales go to the organization hosting the raffle, while the other half goes to the winner of the raffle prize.
- Participants buy tickets, at a set price per ticket.
- The total amount collected from ticket sales is tallied.
- Half of this total amount is designated as the prize pool.
- A winner is then randomly selected from the pool of tickets.
- The winner receives half of the total prize pool, while the remaining half goes to the organization hosting the raffle.
How to Enter
Enter the 50/50 raffle by replying to this thread which how many tickets you would like to purchase, as well as how much it costs. There is no limit on how many tickets you may purchase. Entry fees will be withdrawn from the entrant's bank balance upon replying to the thread.
Deadline to enter is Thursday, October 17th 11:59PM EST.
Entry Prices:
$500K - 1 Ticket
$1M - 3 Tickets
$3M - 10 Tickets
$4M - 35 Tickets (Early Bird Special - ends Friday, October 4th)
$10M - 100 Tickets
$20M - 250 Tickets
For example, if a participant wishes to purchase 350 tickets - please reply to this post "350 tickets, $30M"
Each entrant will be assigned ticket numbers which will be randomized for the drawing.
FREE TICKET PROMOTION
If you currently have $50,000,000 or less in your bank account, you are eligible for free tickets. Reply to this post "FREE TICKETS" and you will receive an equal amount of tickets dependent on how many tickets are donated and how many eligible players sign up for the free tickets. Your bank balance will be verified in order to be eligible for this promotion. Players who opt-in to this promotion are still eligible to purchase tickets of their own.
For example, if 1,000 tickets are donated and 20 eligible players opt-in to the promotion, each player will receive 50 tickets for the raffle.
Players may buy and donate any amount of tickets to this contest. These tickets are only equally distributed to those eligible players who sign up for the aforementioned Free Ticket promotion. If you wish to donate tickets, please reply to this post with the word "DONATE" and how many tickets you are donating to the promotion.
Either opting in or donating to this promotion is permissible up until the deadline listed above.
WEEKLY SPORTSBOOK PROMOTION
All users will earn one ticket to the 50/50 raffle for each bet placed in S50 ISFL and DSFL Weekly Sportsbooks. There is no minimum bet amount to earn a ticket. User does not have to win their bet to earn a ticket. Users will be notified of their tickets from this promotion no later than Thursday, October 18th after all the tickets accumulated are tallied.
Raffle Drawing
The drawing will be randomized and takes place on Friday, October 18th prior to the Ultimus and Ultimini stream. Drawing will be conducted using Random.org. If your winning number is selected, please notify myself or any Casino employee to redeem your prize.
What happens to the money?
50% of the total pot goes to the raffle winner which takes place on Friday, October 18th. The other 50% goes to the Casino's P&L (profilt/loss statement) [this does not go to any user].
