The Krumbling Kronicle - Exclusive Interview with London Royals Running Back Dalinar Summers

Today we are meeting with the running back for the London Royals to ask him a few questions before the season fifty International Simulation Football League draft. Dalinar Summers had an excellent rookie season rushing for 1,198 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was selected as the seventeenth pick in the Developmental Simulation Football League last year by the London Royals.

1) Watching back some film from your high school days, you seemed to be an impressive player on the defensive side of the ball (DE/LB), what made you commit to running back, and have you considered going back?
 - I loved playing on the defensive side of the ball. That being said, I would be lying to you if I said that I didn’t love the glory that comes with playing on the offensive side of the ball. I haven’t felt a better feeling than trucking straight through a defender who I knew was coming for blood.

2) How do you feel about the London Royals entering Season 50 in the DSFL?
 - London is losing a lot of great talent being called up to the ISFL, but that doesn’t mean the window is closing for us. We’ve got a great offense assembled, and hopefully by next season all the kinks will have been worked out so we can be a well oiled machine.

3) Do you think we can expect London to be a playoff team next season?
 - Definitely. I’m gunning for an ultimini next year, and we will take down anyone in our way.

4) What do you expect out of the upcoming draft?
 - I had lots of great conversations with most of the teams in the ISFL. Definitely a few stood out more than most, but I’m confident that I will be picked up by a team that will utilize me effectively. I’m hoping that my rookie year in the DSFL will prove that I’m the real deal and get me drafted higher.

5) What can we expect to see out of you next season?
 - To be honest it’s gonna depend where I’m situated. I think if I am back in the developmental league again next year, you can expect an insane performance out of me. If I’m called up, I’m gonna be spending a lot of time studying and learning from those ahead of me. The knowledge gained from those vets are going to make me stand apart from the other running backs in my class.

6) Can you address the rumors that there may be a fifth Summers brother?
 - Unfortunately, I’m unable to comment on matters regarding any younger siblings in my family. My father has asked that his family life remain private for the time being.

7) Which Summers brother will be the first to win a championship?
 - Me. In every universe it’s me. I’m sure my brothers would tell you that it’s them, but I’m gonna do it first to prove them wrong.

Seems like there’s lots to look forward to with Dalinar and the rest of the Summers family. Hopefully the Kronicle will get a chance to catch up with the other brothers soon.
