Andre Bly Jr., born to the All pro Cornerback Dre Bly, who played with the Rams, Lions, Broncos, and 49ers in the National Football League. He was born in Granada, Spain where he grew up with his mother until he was 12, constantly travel back and forth to the US for many reasons. While there, Andre was a huge hit on the soccer pitch, playing with the u-12 Barcelona team for 3 years before he moved to the states. He was known for his great footwork and attacking ability, and even got the attention of Lionel Messi during one of his camps. Andre did not make it onto the U-15 team as his defensive skills and field awareness proved to liable, and he promptly quit soccer right before moving to the US.

Once in the US, He enrolled at Valor Christian High School at the age of 13 and was invited to try out for the football team as they had recently disbanded their soccer program due to few students participating. Andre had a difficult time adjusting to the game and played on Junior Varsity for the better part of his first two years, but became the Eagle’s best punt returner halfway through his sophomore season, surpassing Christian McCaffrey on the depth chart. He had 16 punt returns with an average of 21.0 yards per return and 2 touchdowns, including a go-ahead game winner during homecoming. As summer started to wind down and football season began, Andre got mixed up with a bad group of guys and was suspended along with 3 other players from all team activities for possession and attempting to sell marijuana. 4 months later, Marijuana was legalized. Andre was still banned from working out with the team until his junior year was over, but he put in some private work and came back bigger and better than ever. Growing from 5’6” to 5’10” and putting on a healthy 40 pounds turned him from a speedy returner, to an athletic beast in the Eagle’s arsenal.

Andre lined up for what seemed every play his senior season, playing Wide Receiver, Cornerback, and returner and gunner for both punts and kickoffs. Andre scored an impressive 54 touchdowns on the season, 23 receiving touchdowns, 13 rushing touchdowns, 5 punt returns, 4 kickoff returns, 2 passing touchdowns, and 7 defensive touchdowns. He lands 2nd all-time for Colorado touchdowns in a season and 3rd for receiving touchdowns in a season. He also accumulated 14 interceptions on the season along with 6 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. Despite only having one stellar season at Valor Christian, He would go down as one of the best players to play at Valor Christian and one of the best two-way players Colorado has seen.

Andre received many offers from top division one schools, and he entertained many visits. Andre started with a top 10 of schools, Which consisted of Texas, Ohio State, Colorado State, LSU, USC, Oregon, Florida, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Virginia Tech. Andre quickly narrowed it down to LSU, Florida, and Alabama due to the South Eastern Conference defensive prowess and the likelihood of being drafted in the NSFL. Each campus and university offered a lot to Andre during his visits, obviously not cash offers wink. All 3 were amazing, but it came down to the team chemistry. Half of the Florida Gator players were suspended, the Bama players were all robots under Nick Saban’s control, and Andre could not understand Coach Orgeron to save his life.

Andre made up his mind and decided to go with…
