Could Floggity's Strange Attitude Hurt His Draft? - Jogn - 05-26-2017

Hawaii Center Jogn Floggity impressed many at the All American Bowl, recording 5 pancakes and only allowing 1 sack against a murderer’s row of talent, including Wisconsin LB Andrew Kreklow, who won Defensive Player of the Game, and Alabama DE Jason Spearhead, who forced a fumble that was thankfully recovered by South Carolina QB Vincent Draxel. However, some scouts are questioning Floggity’s character after a series of bizarre team interviews.

“We asked him a fairly innocuous question - what’s your favorite post-game meal?” one anonymous team executive told us “and he just went off about how he loves to eat his favorite sandwich, sushi. We didn’t even ask - I just figured it was Cajun nonsense, but before we knew it he had pulled out a full multimedia presentation about his opinions on what is and is not a sandwich”.

The sandwich, named for John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, is generally understood to be any form of content between bread. Floggity, who has had many such outbursts during his 5 year career at Hawaii, believes that any meal that can be entirely cleanly without the need of a dish or utensil constitutes a sandwich, in keeping with Montagu’s intention to create a lunch that one could eat without interrupting a game of poker.

“Look, it’s impressive that he managed to hack our conference room projector like that, but combined with his public wish to throw a pass, surrounded by an incredibly deep quarterback draft? We have to raise some concerns about that kind of character” the team executive continued.

At the beginning of the season, Floggity was considered a top-3 Offensive Lineman, and mock draft boards consistently placed him in the first three rounds. However, with as many as 7 linemen now sitting in the consensus top 100 prospects, it remains to be seen if his unconventional quirks will harm his draft stock. Some note that a controversial food take is hardly a damning sin in this offensive line class- Temple’s Bender Rodriguez has publicly battled alcoholism, Texas A&M tackle Angus Boyd has been arrested for assault, and many scouts are questioning if Z. Ronald is even real.

Floggity’s agent, when reached for comment told us “Jogn doesn’t care about this kind of speculation. Teams understand what they’re getting when they draft him, and his tape and his production should speak for themselves - he’s just looking forward to a long and successful career in the NSFL, wherever he lands.” We also received a 40 page flipchart on the nature of a sandwich from a mailing address in Louisiana.

Why would scouts question Z. Ronald?
I didn't design him in my basement or anything...
