Angus Winchester was arrested in the wilderness on the Alaskan island of Kodiak recently when the US Fish and Wildlife officers found him hunting in the National Wildlife Refuge. Not only did Winchester not have a hunting license and was hunting in an area off limits to hunters. Winchester wasn't hunting caribou, or deer, or moose, or elk, or anything of the sort. Winchester was hunting Kodiak bears. Also known as the Alaskan brown bear, the Kodiak is a relative to the North American grizzly bear except is known to grow even larger, up to 1,500lbs.

The most shocking part of this story is not that Winchester was found poaching an endangered animal on federal land. What surprised even the Fish and Wildlife officers was the fact that Winchester was not hunting these monstrous carnivores with a rifle. Or a shotgun. Or even a pistol. Angus Winchester was hunting Kodiaks with a spear. According to their statement they found Winchester completely naked and covered in a war paint he made out of wild cranberries and mud, stalking the bears through the forest armed with a homemade spear. Although he hasn't admitted to anything, they also found him with a necklace made from Kodiak teeth, making them believe he might have found success with this method before being discovered., Winchester quickly posted bail and returned to Orange County after the incident, in preparation for the Otters next game.

Dan got a phone call from a friend who happened to be visiting San Jose.

Generally he wants to just take it easy and hang out with Lord Nibbler and relaxing from practice but his friend Drew wanted to go out and have fun on the town.
They ended up going to a club and got free VIP service due to Dan's noteriety. Sometimes he feels awkward about getting free stuff for playing a game, but he doesn't really enjoy the club scene so the VIP area is pretty nice.

Anyways, Dan is playing wingman for his friend and just enjoying catching up, meanwhile a fight breaks out. Some guy starts swinging at drew because the girl he was buying drinks for is now hanging out with Drew and Dan instead. Dan being quite a big guy intervenes and separates the dude. He swings and hits Dan so he pushes both Drew and the dude far back away from each other. The guy falls to the ground and 5 bouncers come up and cuff everyone involved to wait for the police to arrest them.

Drew, Dan and the random person trying to fight ended up getting booked and the police officer named Bob , who was monitoring the booking jail, starts trash talking. "Football players are all the same. Big dumb guys that will fight anyone over any dumb reason."
Dan didn't engage or say a word.

He mad his call to Lord Nibbler who immediately went down to the club to get the CCTV film of what happened. Dan gave that to the police but also immediately gave it to the media. As soon as the footage was shown that Dan was only breaking up the fight and only diffused the situation, he was immediately released.

Bob looked pissed that he had to release Dan, and never took back anything that he said. Dan smiled and went home for the night. The next day, he had his agent research and figure out most of the other officers that worked there and gave out free Sabercats tickets to everyone at the station except for Bob.

Justice was served.

While in college, Bork Bjornsson had a pet duck.

It was a nice duck, and his name was Sir Quackers. Nobody really knew exactly where Bork found Sir Quackers, but he claims he was fishing one day, saw an injured baby duck, and adopted him. Sir Quackers had a broken wing and couldn’t fly, but that was no problem. Bork frequently took Sir Quackers on walks through college campus, where Sir Quackers was quite the chick magnet. I’m talking about baby chickens. Baby chickens would come up and try to play with Sir Quackers, but Sir Quackers didn’t care. He just wanted to follow Bork.

When it snowed, Sir Quacker’s feet would get cold and he would hitch a ride on one of Bork’s shoulders or on his head, rather than walking around in the snow. One day, Bork went to visit some friends in Fargo, North Dakota. Fargo is right on the border of North Dakota and Minnesota, and this was quite a snowy day. So one day, Bork was walking along with Sir Quackers sitting on his head, when suddenly a police car pulled over and arrested him.

It was because in Minnesota it is illegal to cross the state border with a duck on your head. Bork and Sir Quackers were taken in to custody because it was technically illegal but the charges were dropped when Bork’s university bribed the judge.

In the early hours on a Sunday morning, all silence was abruptly disturbed as a car came speeding down the deserted highway. A local state trooper had to glance at his laser based radar detection system multiple times before he could believe what he saw. As quickly as it had approached, it was gone. A silver blur in the darkness. As he put his cruiser into drive, he knew he had some ground to make up. The car that had just passed him was driving in excess of 140 miles per hour. The trooper knew that in the time it took for him to realize the situation and spring into action, the car was already more than a mile down the road. Catching up to the vehicle was not a likely option. He was able to radio ahead where another officer was able to stop the speeding car. Behind the wheel was none other than Trey Willie of the NSFL’s Baltimore Hawks. When asked about the excessive speed, it was reported that Willie’s response was, “Sorry officer, I did not know that I couldn’t do that.” Willie was immediately arrested and booked on charges of speeding and reckless driving. He immediately posted bail and is free in time for tonight’s game in Philadelphia.

Mayran Jackson was reported to have kicked another NSFL player in the face. According to rumours the player was Josh Garden as Garden had tried to steal Jackson's two championship rings because Garden himself doesn't have a single ring. Of course Garden signed with the Arizona Outlaws this past off-season because he knew he'd never be able to win a ring without joining a stacked team. Garden has yet to win a ring in his career so the authorities could easily see the motive here. The authorities did catch Garden (like everyone DB in the NSFL does as well) so they do have the ring back in Jacksons possession.

As for Jackson's punishment, the authorities looked the other way because of their hate towards Garden's Kevin Durant type move this off-season. Jackson is free to go but has to pay a $2000 penalty for making the hospital have to do extra work no Garden's face. San Jose Sabercats are saying they will pay the amount for their player and support his actions 100%. Garden may not miss time on the field but it's not like you'll notice him out there anyways. Rumours state that Arizona GM will probably trade Josh Garden away with no warning, as he is prone to do in the past.

Did you know that it is illegal to have snowball fight in a public park in Aspen, Colorado? A group of Yeti players, including Boss Tweed, learned this the hard way last year. After playing their final game of Season 3, the Yeti players decided to blow off some steam at the conclusion of a long hard season. They went to Aspen for a day in January to unwind and have some fun. It had recently snowed and the entire ground was covered with a blanket of snow. At one point, they passed by an empty park with an undisturbed sheet of snow covering it. They decided to have some fun and it turned into an all out brawl with snowballs. After about 10 minutes, a group of police officers came by and arrested them. They were confused at first but then they found out about Aspen's strange law. They had to spend a few hours in jail until some team officials eventually arrived to speak with the police and bail them out. Luckily, the did not face any further punishment and were able to return to practicing as normal. It all turned out all right, but it just goes to show that some places have very unusual laws to watch out for.

Wallace Stone have been seen in company of the Las Vegas Police Department late last night when he was escorted out of his house. It seems that Stone have been reported by Logan Noble for “harassment” and could now face justice for his actions.

We managed to get into contact with Noble and get a little light on what happened.

“This guy is always on my back! I have never seen someone as adamant as him to make fun of me in all the possible way. Yes, ok I cheated, I even tried to assume a new identity in order to keep playing football, but never, ever, have I cheated on my four wives like he implied in one of his advertisements! It’s unbelievable that people like him are allowed to keep playing while I am not because I ‘used steroid’ or some shit like that. I worked as hard as everyone in this league, it’s ridiculous!”

The Las Vegas Police Department is currently refusing to make any comment on the case and they are unsure if the Quarterback will be released in time for the next match. We managed to get Stone’s Agent, Evok, on the phone:

“Stone will be out by tomorrow. Noble is a big phony, nothing will happen.”

That was a close one for emerging star and tight end of the NSFL, Joseph Askins. This last weekend, after the Yellowknife Wraiths dismantled the Colorado Yeti at home, Askins was out partying late at night with friends, family and teammates, when he finally went home. Well, apparently he hadn't pissed someone off as they decided to follow him home. After he got inside his house, this agitator went into the house and tried to strike Askins across the head. However, since Joseph Askins is an enormous human, almost no damage was inflicted upon him, and Askins proceeded to beat the attacker into unconsciousness. However, a neighbor heard the commotion and called the cops on Askins. Askins was taken in to the police station for questioning to determine what exactly happened. Fortunately, the police department was able to uncover all of the facts and let Askins go free of anything, but it was a scary moment for the Wraiths organization, Askins, and his family when none of them knew exactly what was going to happen to the star tight end. Luckily, now Joseph Askins can get back to work and continue playing at an extremely high level in the NSFL as he has been doing all season, following the footsteps of his mentor Ricky Maddox.
