*Evaluating the Hawks Schedule - iamslm22 - 11-30-2017

Welcome back to our series on the disastrous and disappointing season 4 of the Baltimore Hawks. Check out part 1 here before you read the this one. Part one covered the first three games of the Baltimore Hawks' schedule. In those games the Baltimore Hawks were favored in all three and came out 2-1. The loss being an upset while they were at home to the San Jose Saber cats. You will see in this part of the series that the Baltimore Hawks were able to make up for that loss and get revenge. Without further ado, lets get right into it with that Week 4 match up with the San Jose Saber cats.

As previously mentioned the week four match up for the Baltimore Hawks saw them travelling to California to face the San Jose Saber Cats. San Jose had already won in Baltimore and as mentioned in the last part of this series the teams are about even, giving San Jose the advantage to have the Hawks in San Jose. This game wound up being a tight one, and it was the only game all year where the Hawks shocked the sim Gods and won a game where they were not supposed to win. The biggest stand out of this game was my man @Unicorn who had eight tackles a sack and a blocked field goal to help seal the win for the Baltimore Hawks when they won 17 - 13. Baltimore Hawks QB Avon Blocksdale outplayed the San Jose QB Chris Orosz and new RBs Owen Taylor and Jordan both showed their stuff with Taylor getting the advantage. This win put the Baltimore Hawks in neutral position with the sim Gods. They were 2-1 as a favorite and 1-0 as an underdog.

Next up the Baltimore Hawks were playing host to the three time defending champion Arizona Outlaws. In this game the Baltimore Hawks were actually the favorite (even then simmer and tester ER picked the Baltimore Hawks in his prediction). The Baltimore Hawks are the team that has actually given the Outlaws the most trouble in the brief time of the NSFL. Hosting the Outlaws the Baltimore Hawks had a sense of confidence and they were actually able to pull it out. How did they do it? They had a pretty good passing offense with Avon Blocksdale but the real hero on offense was the best running back in the NSFL @manicmav36 Owen Taylor. Dude carried the ball an astounding 36 times, ran for over 100 yards and scored a touchdown. This win helped them stay even with the sim gods.

Another day another shot at being the favorite for the Baltimore Hawks, heading into Las Vegas to face the Legion. The Legion are one of the two bad teams in the NSFL and this was one of only two games the Baltimore Hawks were considered clear favorites (road games in Philly and Yellowknife I will consider those teams as favored since I'm giving the Hawks favorite status home v OC and AZ). The Baltimore Hawks got a bit of a scare when they went to Las Vegas, and perhaps the team partied a bit too hard but they were not able to dominate the game like they should have. The Legion decided to pound the ball in to the ground, running it an astounding 56 times. Ardie Savea ran it 41 times for 102 yards, while Owen Taylor ran it 16 less times than Savea but was able to stil out gain Savea, getting 124 yards. The Baltimore Hawks came away from Las Vegas with a 19 13 win, and still kept pace with the sim Gods.

Tune in next time as we track the rest of the Hawks schedule and get into the parts where the Sim Gods turn on the Hawks. 638
