It’s that time of year when everyone’s least likely to make the pro-bowl candidate, Darren Smallwood, makes his claim to be in the Pro-Bowl. Now, I know what you’re thinking: no way Darren Smallwood deserves to make the Pro-Bowl, but hear me out.
There is no reason I should be in the Pro-Bowl as a Wide Receiver, my stats are mediocre for the season and I didn’t do well. However, I belong in the Pro-Bowl as a pass catching Tight End
Ok I know what you’re saying, it’s one of three things. 1) I mean, I like him, and he’s never been wrong about anything ever so makes sense to me. 2) Dude, you’re listed as a WR, not a TE on your position in the index. 3) Break Bottles is a better TE than you, even if you were a TE.
For those of you who think option 1, congrats, I like the cut of your jib and thank you for your support.
For option 2, Here’s a fun fact, I played a majority of snaps in the TE position, not WR. Thus it would more correct to count me as TE who is built like a WR. Patriots Super Bowl Winning TE Timothy Wright is a great example of this. Moreover, there are plenty of TEs who cannot block in the NFL and catch balls for days. I'm told Jimmy Graham is a bad blocker. Finally there is precedent in our NSFL. Torque Lewith made the Pro-Bowl as safety and he played linebacker all season.
For those in the third category, I have stats for you. Mind you, I'm not a blocker, just a pass catcher. So let's compare me to my peers at TE.

First and foremost, DiMiro deserves to get a pro-bowl vote, he's eons above everyone else, shades of Ricky Maddox. So now lets get to Pro-Bowl voting. I'm second best in the ASFC. There are two slots. I've put up 10 fewer yards than Charlie Law (who should be the other ASFC TE) in 8 fewer catches. I'm third in YPC, but tied for first in TDs. The numbers don't lie folks, I've been playing TE and doing as well as anyone not named Dimiro can in that position.
