*Sapp's Mock Draft 3.0 - sapp2013 - 02-04-2018

[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Welcome to Sapp, SuperSquare, and Kortesi’s Season Six Mock Draft, version 3.0. Here I will discuss where I believe each prospect will land and with what team. Since we are now finished with the NSFL season, we now have the correct order of picks for the draft. With talent ranging from the first to the last pick, GMs will have to decide on if Quantity or Quality will be a deciding factor in who gets drafted where. With some prospects making a name for themselves early on with both their play on the field and the media they write, it will be interesting to see who will be the Cream of the crop, who will be the busts, and who will be the hidden Gems of this draft class. Enjoy!

Note: Some of these were written before games were played, so take those aspects lightly.

Round 1:

NOLA 1st Overall: NOLA
Brian Mills || LB || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 186 ||+ 3
Going at number 1 overall is Brian Mills out of TIjuana. Mills led the league in tackles and the next closest guy to him was almost 20 tackles away. Mills is a stud of a linebacker and for a very needy team on defense Mills may be the lockdown defender that they need. Although there are much more versatile linebackers in this draft,, Enchant and Dwyer, Mills is a pure tackler and won’t look for a big play only seeking to stop the ball.

COL 2nd Overall: COL
Dwayne Aaron || WR || Portland Pythons || TPE: 172 || +0
The Yeti are really reaching here grabbing Dwayne Aaron, but he fits their scheme well. They are only a few pieces away from competing, with drafting Carlito Crush, Andre Bly Jr., and Michael Tillman in last seasons draft. They have a strong young core with a few veteran mentors to lead them. Aaron hopes to continue his success from the DSFL, racking up enough stats to secure the 1st year player Triple crown in receiving. Portland is a real recruiting hotspot and that will really show as we go farther down in the first round.

SJS 3rd Overall: SJS
Cordell Joshua || DE || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 165 || + 0
Cordell Joshua is one of the hottest prospects coming into the draft. Already with a league job and one of the few bright spots on an awful team, Joshua is a dangerous player. He will make an immediate impact on the Sabercats, as he led the league in tackles for loss while also forcing a fumble and getting a decent 5 sacks. Cordell Joshua is an impressive player who can make an impact on any team he plays on. He may be one of the best players in the draft.

PHI 4th Overall: PHI
Austin Roenick || QB || Portland Pythons || TPE: 188 || + 5
Austin Roenick is climbing boards again, and he is picked up by the liberty in this Mock. Liberty have been feeling frustrated recently with their player Rove in their locker room and may try looking in a different direction if things do not turn around quickly. Austin fits in very nicely with this team, but will need a year to get up to speed before the liberty will be competing for a playoff spot again.

NOLA 5th Overall: NOLA
(Via Outlaws)
Norman Bagwell || DT || Portland Pythons || TPE: 211 || - 4
The highest TPE prospect falls to #5 but also goes to the same team in the draft. To help bolster the poor defense of the Legion, they opt to go for stud Norman Bagwell. Picking up Bagwell will no doubt help their pass rush and run stopping capabilities. He could be the future of the Legion.

BAL 6th Overall: BAL
Glenn McPoyal || TE || Portland Pythons || TPE: 164 || + 12
The third Python player off the board in a row, and 4th so far in just 6 picks. There is a reason why they are considered heavy favorites in the DSFL championship game, and one of those reason is Mr. McPoyal playing at Tight End. Out of all first year TE’s, he has definitely shown out the most, with 25% more receiving yards than the number 2 guy and the same amount of TDs as the other 3 first year TEs combined. a climb as big as this up the draft board is not suprising when you realize the impact he has made for his team.

YKW 7th Overall: YKW
Grey Slax || WR || San Antonio Marshals || TPE: 122 || - 1
Despite being one of the more highly touted receivers in the beginning of the year, Grey Slax has not been as impressive as he maybe should have been. Being fairly average in terms of touchdowns and receptions, but he does impress when it comes to yards. Because of this, Slax boasts the top average yards per catch with at least 50 catches. Slax may not catch the ball much but he certainly is impressive and his talent could translate well to the YellowKnife offense.

OCO 8th Overall: OCO
Borro Gore || RB || Portland Pythons || TPE: 159 || + 2
Borro Gore very quickly went from playing behind an inactive to the highest touted running back in the league. He leads the league in rushing touchdowns, and has the highest TPE out of the other running backs in the draft. Gore is a very interesting prospect who will probably have his career ended in Orange County, where running backs go to die. Best of luck to Gore in the future to deny the grave!

ROUND 2:

YKW 9th Overall: YKW
(Via Legion)
Elvin Enchant || LB || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 135 || - 2
Elvin Enchant narrowly misses out on the first round despite some world breaking numbers. That’s not a mistake though, as this is an incredibly deep and impressive draft pool. Enchant is no exception as he was one of the most impressive linebackers this year. He was excellent in coverage, recording the highest interceptions and passes defended out of all linebackers, and even put up respectable tackle and sack numbers. He will be a great addition to the wraiths as the most balanced linebacker of the draft.

COL 10th Overall: COL
Bobby Ruckus|| S || Portland Pythons || TPE: 152 || - 2
This draft was almost completely devoid of corners and safetys, but Bobby Ruckus defied that rule. He leads the league in Corners/Safetys in TPE, beating out hyped up Storm Woods, and has been a very impressive safety thus far.

ARI 11th Overall: ARI
(Via Sabercats)
Arbin Asipi Jr. || QB || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 157 || + 3
Arbin absolutely laid an egg in his playoff debut, showing off a performance that makes pierno look like an MVP candidate. 129 yards with zero touchdowns and an abysmal 44% completion percentage is not something you want to find in a guy that is supposed to be a leader for his team. However, He is an athlete and the alleged bloodline linkage may be holding up his draft stock, but it is highly doubtful that he will find a home in the NSFL as a QB.

PHI 12th Overall: PHI
Blessed Storm || WR || Portland Pythons || TPE: 109 || + 1
Blessed Storm has been a great complement to Aaron in Portland as he racked up 60 catches for just about 750 yards this season. He is looking to turn out very similar to a former NSFL player, Matthew Vincent. throw it to Storm and he will catch it and gain you yards, but he has had a lot of trouble finding the endzone this season. Hopefully he can turn that around by the draft.

YKW 13th Overall: YKW
(Via Outlaws)
None Forfeit || K || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 148 || + 11
With the news of their kicker potentially hitting Free Agency, the Wraiths really need to find a long term solution to their kicker position and Forfeit may be the one to do that. He has been extremely active and put up amazing numbers in his time in the DSFL, and hopes to carry that to the pro league next season.

ARI 14th Overall: ARI
(Via Outlaws)
Bogdan Wojcik || DT || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 103 || - 3
Bogdan Falls a little bit here and it is mainly because of the two GMs that go above him. The outlaws really need help on the defensive line and Bogdan is one of the more impressive linemen coming out of the DSFL, with 5 sacks and 41 total tackles. Look for Bogdan to make a big impact in his first season as he anchors the outlaws front lines in hopes of making it back to the playoffs once again.

NOLA 15th Overall: NOLA
(Via Wraiths)
Borkus Maximus III || QB || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 193 || + 0
Coming in with our 3rd QB off the board, we have Borkus Maximus III. The Kansas City QB did what he could with a weak team around him, yet he still managed an impressive 2679 yards and 13 Touchdowns. He has to work on his interceptions as he threw 16 of them, tied for the league lead. The Legion may already have a QB on the roster, but competition is always good for a team that needs help everywhere.

OCO 16th Overall: OCO
Jack Dwyer || LB || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 107 || + 5
The Otters add another linebacker to the team who has some potential here. Dwyer racked up 106 tackles this season, including 6 for loss. He only got to the quarterback a few times, getting 5 sacks. He also had 7 pass deflections as he used his speed to cover the running back coming out of the backfield and beating them to the ball. He’s raw, but could be molded into something special.
ROUND 3:

YKW 17th Overall: YKW
Poopyface Tomatonose || TE || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 178 || + 2
PFTN put together some decent numbers this season. He led tight ends in total TPE but despite that had some pretty poor stats compared to Glenn McPoyal. Despite that PFTN is still a lethal weapon and should not be underestimated, if he is used in the right scheme he could be invaluable during his NSFL career.

COL 18th Overall: COL
Micycle McCormick || K || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 138 || + 2
With the Yeti already having a decent kicker in Peg Leg, it might come to a surprise that they take another kicker here, especially in the situation that they are in. Their mindset behind this is that one of them will come out of this as the more active player, and they will stick with that dude going forward. This isn’t to take away from what Micycle was able to do in the DSFL, which he showed some great talent throughout the season. Hopefully he can carry that forward and win out the kicking competition.

YKW 19th Overall: YKW
(Via Sabercats)
Robby Rainey|| RB || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 114 || + 4
Another running back comes off the boards here as the Wraiths select Robby Rainey from Kansas City. Rainey got a late start to his career, only playing 11 games this season. He took his 125 attempts and got 408 yards off of them, which isn’t the worst start to a career. He showed some prowess catching the ball as a running back, so perhaps the Wraiths see a bit of Eric Kennedy in him. Either way, he’ll have time to develop with the coaching staff of the back to back second place finishers.

YKW 20th Overall: YKW
(Via Liberty)
Willy Nyquist || RB || San Antonio Marshals || TPE: 125 || - 15
Willy Nyquist was one of this seasons most impressive runners. For most of the season he led the league in rushing, and right behind him was his partner in crime Carter Bush. Nyquist was the lead back in this tandem and helped San Antonio all through their season. Had it not been for a conundrum in the front office the Marshals could very well be in the playoffs right now. And Nyquist would have been a huge contribution to it.

COL 21st Overall: COL
(Via Outlaws)
Storm Woods || CB || San Antonio Marshals || TPE: 102 || - 9
Storm Woods fell quite a bit, he only has 102TPE and despite a promising start it appears he just hasn’t produced like San Antonio has wanted. This draft was devoid of almost any talent in the secondary, and the only other active player in the secondary in this draft is Bobby Ruckus. However The Yeti need help and Storm may be the best player available at this point.

BAL 22nd Overall: BAL
Rob Anderson || LB || San Antonio Marshals || TPE: 88 || - 6
The Baltimore Hawks look to help their defense out with the 22nd pick, opting to grab Marshals’ linebacker Anderson here. Anderson only had 82 tackles this season, but where he truly shined was rushing the quarterback, as he racked up 10 sacks in 14 games in San Antonio.

ARI 23rd Overall: ARI
(Via Wraiths)
Carter Bush || RB || San Antonio Marshals || TPE: 75 || + 2
Carter Bush had a pretty good season for San Antonio, rushing 218 times for 808 yards as the second part of the two headed rushing attack he was a part of with Nyquist.. He’s a nice player that could potentially crack the Outlaws lineup someday when that old timer Mackworthy retires. Bush has a lot of training to do before that day comes though. He has nice upside, for sure.

NOLA 24th Overall: NOLA
(Via Otters)
Lil Bot || RB || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 122 || - 7
Lil Bot joins the Legion looking to gain the backup role to Savea as a rookie. He’s a promising player, putting up 729 yards on 208 carries along with 5 touchdowns. The legion could be getting a steal here, as Bot actually has incredibly similar numbers to Borro Gore, taken much earlier in this draft.

ROUND 4:
The fourth and fifth rounds of this draft are still a toss up and people could go literally anywhere. If your activity bumps up, you will no doubt move into the top 3 rounds.

NOLA 25th Overall: NOLA
Jerry RiceCake || WR || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 65 || + 4

NOLA 26th Overall: NOLA
(Via Yeti)
Antonio Legion || WR || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 114 || + 0

ARI 27th Overall: ARI
(Via Sabercats)
Mike Vick || QB || San Antonio Marshals || TPE: 67 || + 0

NOLA 28th Overall: NOLA
(Via Liberty)
Vernon Collins || DE || Portland Pythons || TPE: 79 || - 6

NOLA 29th Overall: NOLA
(Via Outlaws)
Egan Winter || CB || Portland Pythons || TPE: 76 || - 1

BAL 30th Overall: BAL
Ross Germo || RB ||Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 50 || N/A

NOLA 31st overall: NOLA
(Via Wraiths)
Gustav Rodriguez || DT || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 64 || + 2

OCO 32nd Overall: OCO
Wendell Blye || DE || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 50 || + 3

ROUND 5:

NOLA 33rd Overall: NOLA
Deez Nuts || DT || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 59 || + 1

COL 34th Overall: COL
Clown Baby || TE || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 69 || - 3

SJS 35th Overall: SJS
Tor Tuck || TE || Kansas City Coyotes || TPE: 50 || - 5

PHI 36th Overall: PHI
Manson Killer || CB || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 50 || + 0

ARI 37th Overall: ARI
Mantis Toboggan || QB || Tijuana Luchadores || TPE: 50 || + 0

Max Dalton || QB || N/A || TPE: 50 || + 0

No way the Liberty take Roenick. If Bagwell is available at 4 OA, he is going to Philly. If Joshua is available, he is going to Philly.
