FAQ - Media

Q: I'd like to write an article with my buddies. Can we do that?

A: Absolutely. Let the graders know how to distribute the payout at the end of your article to make sure everybody is paid fairly.

Q: If I include graphics in my media, will I get paid more?

A: They're usually not included in the payout. The graders currently use the word count to hand out money. It's at the discretion of the grader, though, so you might want to contact them before doing anything really fancy.

Q: If graders only count the words to pay me, I can just write the same thing a thousand times and get a lot of money?

A: No. The article has to be NSFL related and be of decent quality. Just because something like that isn't included in the rules doesn't mean you should do it.

Q: I'm not that familiar with football and find it difficult to write based on stats. Will I still get money if I write something more personal about my player?

A: Yes. As long as it's somewhat league-related, your media will be accepted and graded. Writing about what your player does between games or his personality in the locker room for example would work.

Q: How often are the articles graded?

A: The grading team will grade everything once every calendar week.

Q: I'm not done writing my article and I'm scared the graders will grade it anyway. Is there any way to avoid that?

A: Write "Not ready for grading" before your article to let them know. Once you're done, you can remove the mention and reply to the thread so they see it's been updated. They'll get back to it the following week.

Q: People asked me non-league related questions for my podcast. Is it a waste of time to answer them?

A: Podcasts usually are more personal than written media, and the time you spend answering F00tb4ll_is_l337's question about your favourite kind of sandwich will give you the same payout as his question about which WR is the best in the League.

Q: Is there a specific platform where I need to upload my podcast?

A: No. As long as people don't need to register on the website to listen to it, it'll be graded.

Edited To Add: Your article will stay in the main area of the forum until discussion stops for a week, after which it will be moved into the Graded Articles forum.
