*Balthazar Crindy after the draft - dub - 05-26-2018

Hometown hero and recently thawed man, Balthazar Crindy, was selected in the second round of the NSFL draft. Ironically, the hottest locale in the league chose the most recently frozen prospect, the Arizona Outlaws.

Joining a team that didn't use a traditional tight end last year, Crindy is expected to start and contribute as a role player to a team that already has a superstar set of triplets - QB King Bronko, speedy RB Reg Mackworthy, and one of the fastest players in the league, Budda Browning.

Crindy has none of the speed of Mackworthy or Browning and none of the veteran savvy of Bronko, one of the most respected ever to play the game. But Crindy does have a heap of young potential, and was the first tight end drafted prior to S8, and the third offensive player drafted.

When asked in his post-draft presser if he prefers catching touchdowns or blocking for a successful run game, Crindy shied away from a one-dimensional mindset, and with charm and humor: "That's like asking a parent to choose between two kids. Can't I love both?"

Describing his style as "old school", Crindy commented on the return of the dedicated TE to the Outlaws lineup. "Revolutionize, or bring it back to the old school? Used to be, you couldn't field an offense without two or three ends like me. Now I go to a team that didn't even have a true tight end on the team? Time to start over, bring it back, get some Reagan-era policy in the league! But you know, without all the racism."

Crindy will wear #85 for the Outlaws, a number he said came to him in his sleep. "That's one of those numbers man, eight five, ocho cinco... like I can hear them in my sleep."

Not wasting any time after having slept for nearly three decades, Crindy said he is active in a curious startup business. "I'm actually investing in a startup to bring pulse dialing back to cell phones. It's called "Doots and Poots". Coming soon to a smartphone near you. Gotta love the classics. I had a girlfriend once who had a bunch of 0's and 9's in her phone number. Took FOREVER to call her. Those were the days!"
