After two weeks of trial the league and Jackson reached a financial settlement after it was looking like Jackson was going to win the case. The first few days was a intense back and forth between Jackson lawyers, Rin&Stimpy, and the league front office. Jackson lawyers called a few GMs to the stand to start.
Stimpy examining the GM from Austin” is it true sir that you was told that Jackson wouldn’t make a impact and his future in doubt by the league office and not to pick him in the first round?”
Gm said” We was informed by mr. Jackson of the incident at the Landing Strip but we still valued him high on our board. The front office told us not to bring the negative publicity of picking him in the first round. It wasn’t in our best interest do so.”
Rin” So you was told not to take him even though he had first round grade and talent?”
Gm” Not directly no, but it wasn’t in our favor to do so.”
Stimpy” How did you take the meaning of that?”
Gm” We would go winless again this season most likely.
Rin” So you didn’t take him, costing him millions, and he went to Nola Second Line. Interesting enough y’all game got redone because “something wasn’t right” was the reason I believe was told. That’s a very interesting coincidence. Next witness your honor.”
The examinations went this way for weeks on time and finally before the case came to a jury vote on retribution the league offered mr. Jackson a settlement very much in his favor. The terms are undisclosed and sealed through the courts though.
We caught up with front office outside the courthouse. Not looking to pleased they said,” We have no comment at this time.”
There you have it folks. The trial is over and Jackson will continue his career.
*Note: no real interview was done for this article. I’m honestly to lazy right now to attempt one lol.*
