Welcome to the first edition Into The Idlewyld! The blog about Kyle Idlewyld, by Kyle Idlewyld. In this I will update all my adoring fans about the latest news of my soon to be eminent career, as well as give them my thoughts and opinions on everything from the past weeks games to my opponents to news articles I only read the headline of. But for today I'll start off with a bit about myself. I played for five different highschools in North Texas and three colleges. I started my collegiate career at TCU before being kicked off the team five games into the season for drop kicking the kicker to prove that I could do his job better than him. Mission accomplished. Next season I played for the University of North Texas and led the team in sacks until I refused to play another snap on defense until coach put me in at Quarterback after the starter threw 3 interceptions in the first half. This led to me being kicked off the team, which I'm told was I should've seen coming. My last season in College was spent in DIII playing for Southwestern University in which I shattered school records for sacks, tackles for loss, and concussions both caused and received. Fortunately for me the coaching staff here were wise enough to know that kicking me out would be disaster not just for the team but the entire school and I finally got to play a full season for one team for the first time in my life. I always knew I was too good for the amateur game and none of my coaches could handle that I blazed my own trail. It was a struggle, being better than everyone around me. I was accused of starting problems but it wasn't me that started it! It was them! They were jealous of my superior ability and intellectual. Now that I'm finally where I deserve to be I look forward to championship rings, MVP awards and most importantly... giving quarterbacks CTE (and sometimes runningbacks). Thanks for reading!
