Tony Gabagool, The Big Salami, embodies what it means to be a Colorado Yeti. Grit. Tenacity. Putting the team above individual accomplishments. A leader by example, he would let his on the field play do the talking.
This year, his 10th, will be his final year. He looks back at a long and storied career and sees it as an amazing success. Helping bring his team from the laughing stock of the league to Ultimus champions and yearly playoff contenders was always the goal, and that goal was meant. Since he has been in the league, he has been third in tackles and is the career leader (well tied for now but will retire as the career leader) in tackles for the Yeti. He has flown under the radar due to him sharing the linebacker room with future Hall of Famer and best friend Mo Berry. But he never did this for recognition. He did this to win.
Tony intends to have family time and work on franchising his Italian cured meat deli stores beyond the mid-west.
He will now become a Yeti fan in retirement, and he will of course be a Yeti for life. Here's to one more ride.
