Welcome to the fourth edition of Dogwood Daily, where we'll break down facts, stats, matchups, and other fun items of note. This episode will cover the S25 ISFL Draft

- There were five CBs taken in the first round, which led all position groups.
- For the first time since S20, no safety was taken in the top five.
- In each of the last six drafts, a DL has been drafted in the top three overall.
- This was the first time in history the same position was drafted with three consecutive first round picks (#3 DE Tex Wrecks; #4 DE Raylan Crowder; #5 DE Albert Ruschmann)
- In 11 of this last 12 drafts, there have been back-to-back first round selections from the same DSFL team. This year it was Myrtle Beach, who had OL Medicinal Toblerone and DT Goat Tank taken 10th and 11th, respectively.
- In the last 16 Drafts, the first overall pick and Mr. Irrelevant have been the same position only once (S23; S Greedy Sly and S Chaz Michaels)
- For the first time ever, zero offensive skill players went in the first round.
- This was the first time players with three-letter first names were selected with back-to-back first round picks (#2 CB Dan Foster and #3 DE Tex Wrecks)
- The biggest gap between the first and second players drafted at the same position was WR - 25 picks between first and second (#17-#42)
- In four of the last five drafts, exactly one DSFL failed to have a first round pick.
- In the last four drafts, two DSFL teams have had back-to-back years with the most first rounders. S22-S23 was the Dallas Birddogs; S24-S25 was the Portland Pythons.
- The SEC has either had the most picks or tied for the most picks from S22-S24. The Big Ten broke that streak this year.
- There were five sets of draftees from the same DSFL team who also went to the same college:
- London Royals: DE Albert Ruschmann and LB L'Gazzy Burfict, Rutgers.
- Myrtle Beach Buccaneers: QB Owen Holloway and QV Trent Blackburn, Kent State.
- Portland Pythons: LB Matty Martinsson and OL Hugh McGree, Minnesota and DT Honky-Tonk Haywood and WR Sory An'Tyler, Tennessee.
- Tijuana Luchadores: DT Timmy Dimbi and RB Bronko Mills, Notre Dame
- Swantavius Jones has the longest first name of any first overall selection.
- Four of the last five first overall picks have been in the secondary.
- Swantavius Jones is also the first ever first overall pick with a last name that starts with J.
- Trent Blackburn was made Mr. Irrelevant by the Philadelphia Liberty. This was the first time since S21 Mr. Irrelevant isn't headed to Honolulu.
- In S22 and S23, a team had consecutive selections in the first round. That has not happened since.
- The last three first overall picks have come from the London Royals.
- The last eight first overall picks have all been defensive players.
- From S19-S21, there were no alliterative first and last named players taken in the first round. It has happened every year since. This year was CB Peter Patterson, taken 12th overall by the Sailfish.
- Felix Archstone was the highest drafted OL since Blake McCargue in S13.
- A running back has been selected in the first round just once in the last four drafts (Zoe Watts, S24)
- The Royals Royals have also had at least a share of the most first round picks in each of the last three drafts.
