2x media payout!
As someone new to the league my experience here so far has been amazing, overwhelming at times, but amazing. The type of response that the people in the league have given me has been mind-blowing, even when they put up with my shenanigans. I haven’t had any issues with anyone taking offense or causing any issues based on what I have been saying. I definitely enjoy getting to see the various locker rooms (LRs) and see how each team is a bit different and unique on how they are; there are definitely some teams that I would prefer to get drafted by. I definitely cannot express enough of my gratitude to the rookie mentors and everyone who is willing to help answer questions and point people in the right direction since it is so overwhelming at first.
Now that I have actually been drafted and played some games my performance has been absolutely atrocious. I am in this league to get interceptions, picks, and not having a single one through three games is a disgrace to the name Chathack’rius Smith IV and my father’s name before me Chathack’rius Smith III. There is no way I can let this level of play continue as I, Chathack’rius Smith IV, will be the greatest safety the International Simulation Football League (ISFL) and DSFL has ever seen. In order to get to those goals, I have to make plays, I have to get picks. I will continue to grind my speed, hands, and competitiveness since there is no one in the league who works harder than I do.
Once we get through the development in the DSFL I look forward to going up against the elite players that the International Simulation Football League (ISFL) has to offer. So far, I am unsure of where my player will go, but the draft process has definitely been interesting thus far. There were some teams who showed early interest in reaching out, inviting me into their locker rooms, answering any questions, and asking their own questions; that goes a long way in remembering who wants you and who will settle for you. I cannot name any names, but there were some teams who reached out late, and it definitely impacted my view of them and willingness to play for that team. I want to play for someone who wants me, not someone who drafted me because I was available.
