*Week 1 Fantasy Waiver Pickups

Morning y’all, week one of ISFL fantasy is in the books and I’m still currently drafting my roster. For the MUCH MORE fortunate, I’ve decided to go down the list and highlight some players that you should start to consider for that fantasy waiver wire. Some of you drafted Dante King late and to that I say, this list isn’t for you lucky devils.

QB - Kazamir Oles JR - CHI

My QB1 for the week is who we all expected. Oles led a high-powered Chicago offense to a victory over the Liberty. 4 TDs and 400 yards isn’t gonna happen all the time and his efficiency numbers are decent. I wouldn’t panic about your QB pickup quite yet but if you’re in a pinch, CHI might be trending in the right direction.

RB- Pete Zuh - SAR

The Era of John Huntsman is over. Pete Zuh is now my new best friend. There’s not much to say, besides it seems like Pete is gonna be the RB1 for SAR going forward. I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel here since RB is probably not the position of need for you (everyone seemed to do pretty good in the fantasy write-up). But the Sailfish are a good team with high-powered weapons so I think they’ll be winning most of the time. Pete will be rushing a lot in the second half. Garbage time points galore!

WR- Delores Bickerman - AUS

Note that in her first year, she amassed 1200+ yards and just missed out on the TD department. This year, she’s probably gonna pull off something similar without the missing TDs part. Yes, she’s competing for targets with Patey and Beetlebrox. No, I don’t know how to spell Beeblebrox. But, I don’t see the Copperheads rushing a lot this year and any of these three were a fine selection for your fantasy team last year based on targets and yardage.

TE- Herc Kirkby - ARI

You may be asking me why I’m highlighting Herc Kirkby. 33 yards isn’t too crazy and if they’re on your team, it’s probably because you picked TE late and ignored the fantasy media. But Herc leads all TEs in targets and has 10.3 points in PPR right now. Sailor had an abnormally low game and if this is Kirkby’s floor this season, the ceiling could be sky high.
