Ezra Azazel was born and raised in the city of Austin, Texas. His mother worked locally at a restaurant while his father had tried to pursue a life in football. On the day of July 14th, everything took a change for young Ezra. His father got into an accident that put him in critical condition and there was no sign of recovering anytime soon. There was an option to get a surgery but they did not have the insurance nor the money to pay for it. Ezra was distraught he had no clue what to do his father lies here right in front of him and he has no way to help his own father. Before his father had passed on he had told Ezra that he wanted him to become the best man he could be. Do not let anyone tell him how to live his life and to make choices for himself. His father died later that night and the Azazel family was in distraught with young Ezra being only seven years old at the time. Ezra decided to follow in the footsteps of his dad and complete what his fathers life goal was which was to play in the ISFL.
In middle school, Ezra was advised to play on the defensive side of the ball because of his speed and weight. Ezra had no intention of playing on the defensive side of the ball at this time. He wanted to play on the side where he could see the world of football through his dads eyes. This led to him sitting out most of his middle school career up until his eighth grade year when a position at WR had opened up. Despite it being his first year at Wide Receiver he had hands like none other in the state breaking the single game record in Texas with 463 yards on 25 receptions not quite breaking the catches record. This led to Ezra receiving multiple coaches reaching out to him about asking him to play for their HS team but ultimately he was lacking one thing for route running. Ezra had solidified himself as a 3 star recruit mainly do to his lack of play time and not having much experience but he was one of the most anticipated players in the state of Texas.
Upon finishing his HS career, out of the gate Ezra did not receive many offers but he wanted to play for his dad's old team. University of Kentucky which had offered him nothing and he was very disappointed about it. However the University of Louisville reached out to him and he jumped at the offer to go up against his father's past team every year but they offered for him to be a RB. Which he happily took as he had just wanted to play football at this point. Ezra ended up going to the University of Louisville where he majored in sports admin and would play RB. He did not garner a starting spot till his sophomore year when one of the two lead backs went down with an injury. He put up great numbers going out of the field with his impressive hands and also got the ground game going several times. However he did not earn the sole spot till his senior season where he would start all of the games. Leading the ACC among RB in rushing touchdowns receiving yards. He also broke records for the school in rushing touchdowns.
