Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with an In-character interview with @Tacoville player Alex Rosen! Basically this will just be my player Sailor Moon talking with his player to get to know him. Without any further ado let's begin:
Sailor: "Oh hello, you must be new around here. My name is Sailor Moon"
Alex: "Yeah, nice to meet ya, I'm Alex Rosen."
Sailor: "Oh nice! May I ask what position you play? I always want to meet new people!"
Alex: "Oh yeah, I'm a free safety, how about yourself?"
Sailor: "I work as a running back, despite how I look. I've been told that I have the potential to be pretty elusive out there."
Alex: Oh nice, I always love to watch tape of guys like that. I'm not the most agile guy myself, I generally focus more on speed.
Sailor: "Yeah I've been working on speed as well. I've done a lot of speed drills lately, but I also need to focus on the other parts of the game in order to become great."
Alex: "Yeah, I started playing football pretty late into high school, so my fundamentals took some time to develop. But hey, nothing a few extra hours at practice can't fix!"
Sailor: "Oh nice! I started playing as a walk on in college at the University of Kentucky where I was a track star. They saw me run a pretty good 100 yard dash and suggested that I try out to be a walk on."
Alex: "Oh, so you started really late! That's really impressive! I started in the junior varsity team when I was a junior in high school, and eventually got picked up by BYU. I used to play SS, but I honestly wasn't doing too great, so they switched me to free safety, and I got a lot better after that"
Sailor: "Yeah being the main star in the 100 yard dash definitely helped me in that regard. I wish I could tell you what my time was, but I honestly forgot."
Alex: "Yeah, that would definitely do it! The track coach at BYU actually tried to get me to join the team, and I did practice with them sometimes, but I never joined because I just mainly wanted to focus on football. And track meets, well, they're not exactly the most entertaining..."
Sailor: "I actually started out as a return special teams player."
Alex: "You know, I was almost going to do that, but then we had one of our wide receivers break out, and he definitely did a better job than I could have."
Sailor: "funnily enough, I kept being mistaken for a cheerleader in my first season"
Alex: "Oh my gosh, that is hilarious! Although to be fair, cheerleaders are usually more athletic than people give them credit for."
Sailor: "Honestly I was almost a cheerleader at Kentucky before joining track."
Alex: "I wonder, would it be possible to do both cheerleading and football at the same time?"
Sailor: "I'd rather not have tested that out"
Alex: "Yeah, you probably wouldn't end up getting a single second to recuperate. It'd be a legendary cardio workout"
Sailor: "My first touchdown came after our primary running back went down with an injury and I broke off a 40 yard touchdown"
Alex: "That's crazy, my first start was almost the same thing! The rest of our secondary was down bad, so I got put in and pulled in the game-ending interception in the last game of the season! We still didn't make a bowl game that season, but it was still pretty cool."
Sailor: "We made a bowl game in each of my 4 seasons, and won 3 of them. The one we didn't win was my first one where I fumbled a punt"
Alex: "Oooh, ouch, that's a rough first bowl game. After that first lost season, we did make bowls the next three seasons, and the last two ended up having one of the best defenses in the country! Well, I have to go, but it's been nice getting to know you! I hope I can see you out on the field some time"
Sailor: "Same to you!"
Well that is it for this character chat/ sort of interview. I hope you all enjoyed it and I hope to see you all on the field!
