Hello ISFL friends, I'd like to introduce you to my host city bid: Machu Picchu, Peru.
Only a few places in the world possess the kind of natural beauty and historic charisma that can capture the hearts and minds of visitors in an instant. Machu Picchu is one of them. Morning or afternoon, rain or shine, crowded or not - the sight of the stone temples and endless terraces set amid green-clad granite mountains never disappoints.
Forgotten after the fall of the Inca Empire and rediscovered 400 years later, Machu Picchu remains shrouded in mystery. Some questions may never be answered, but the former Inca city remains as irrefutable evidence of their highly advanced stonemasonry.
Machu Picchu has some of the most beautiful sights and shops in the city down below. Additionally they are very passionate about sports and have some of the most beautiful man-made athletic fields around!
One of the reasons I chose Machu Picchu, besides wanting to use the family photo that was taken there, was the true feeling of the word "Ultimus." It's one thing to play a championship game on a normal boring field. It's another to play it on top of one of the new Wonders of the World up high as if you are the Ultimate Player! Below is the logo along with the requested 150x150 pixel size to show that it is still usable. I designed the logo using a family photo taken + putting it in the shape of a football + football lines to indicate it is indeed a football championship. Additionally, the Ultimus trophy is in the middle as that is what the eye of the football is focused on. The top text is shrouded in the clouds, while the bottom text is lit up by the beautiful nature that surrounds the grounds. The colour of the text was chosen as a lot of tourist signs there leading up to the Temple of the Sun were a bit frayed dark-red from the sunlight
I do hope you enjoy this entry and give it consideration! I would love to see Peru get some limelight and illuminate the joyous natural beauty to all! Should you have any questions about Peru, Machu Picchu, or the nearby Rainbow Mountains feel free to leave them below.
My .pdf file is available upon request. Gracias y tenga un buen día
