The season is coming to an end, I can't believe how much of a roller coaster this has been of a season on the field and off of the field.
I'm finding my stride with my buddy Colt McCoy. Looking at the current statistics I'm looking to end up as a top 5 receiver, potentially leading the league in touchdowns, and being a top 5 receiver in yards. This is great. I knew that we would hit the groove and now the Portland Pythons are sitting at 9-4 leading the DSFL in winning percentage, but there are good teams ahead and it won't be easy winning the championship.
It's been a great year of professional growth and I wouldn't be here without my teammates and the team's management. I want to shout out to Gore for leading the DSFL in yards and being third in touchdowns, you've been an incredible force in the DSFL and no doubt a huge part of why we're here today. Shout out to Ariel as well for putting up nearly 1,000 yards and being a huge contribution to our team. This dynamic duo is legendary, and they're hard to stop.
While we weren't a huge passing team our two quarterbacks, Christ and McCoy did a great job with their time and are currently first and third place in passer rating. It's impossible to compare volume metrics when we don't pass as often, but it's clear that they have the abilities to compete and help lead this team.
Last but not least, shout out to PDX and PFTN for helping mold me into the receiver I am today and laying the foundation for the receiver that I will become in the future. They've provided immense professional guidance and I can't thank them enough.
As the season approaches a close, it's time for me to put some thought into the future. I have been approached by potential teams in the upcoming draft. It's been an interesting process that PDX and PFTN have been immensely important in guiding me through. I have a lot of thinking to do about how I will approach this, but for now I feel that it may make sense to step back into the DSFL for one more year after the draft to develop further before facing the immense talent in the DSFL. Seriously, look at guys like Bly, it's going to be a tough transition and I imagine a slow start, but don't worry I'm coming for the NSFL hard when it is the right time.
The plan for the off-season is to hone my craft, work on getting the best equipment that I can, and hitting next year in stride. For now I'm looking forward to making that championship. Go Portland!
