How do you feel about your new team?
The Orange County Otters organization is one of the most respectable teams I could ever ask to play for and that’s the God honest truth. Now I’m not trying to act like I can strut sittin’ down, but I do believe the Otters picked me for a good reason. They saw the God given talent in me and all the hard work I put into my first season in the DSFL and you can bet the farm on it.
When do you think you'll get that starting job?
Mike Boss is the Boss man for a reason and any man brave enough to try and take his spot better be double-backboned and got more guts than you could hang on a fence. I reckon I won’t be takin’ that starting spot for another few seasons.
What are your expectations for this seasons pythons?
I think we’re gonna come back stronger than ever and show the league why we’re one of the best teams in the DSFL. I expect us to go at least 10 wins again to continue the Rashaad Brooks legacy.
What is your opinion on the new Portland gm?
I haven’t had too much one on one time like I have with Rolando so I can’t say much about him at this point If Rolando says he’s alright, then he’s alright in my book.
Will you position switch if asked?
Now I got asked his question a heapin’ full during the scouting process and I had to tell all those GMs that I'm a Quarterback through and through and I ain't changin' for nobody! God gave me this arm and mind to be a Quarterback and I would be remiss if I did anything else in my life.
What do you look forward to learning to studying under Mike Boss?
The Bossman is one of the greats for a reason and I think I’m gonna look forward to learning everything from him. I want to learn how he makes his reads so quickly, what’s goin’ through his head in those first 5 seconds from the snap and how he stays mentally tough even when the goin’ gets rough.
What do you think of the Otters' draft class this season as a whole?
I’m excited to see how the rest of us rookies develop and I think the Otters’ draft class as a whole will do great things. That Russian or Siberian fella named Fyodorovich is going to be a great cornerback for us and Mason Brown has been top of his class since day one.
What do you hope to gain from another season with Portland in the DSFL?
I’m hopin’ to get a taste of sweet Ultimini victory and I want to taste that more than all the stars in the sky. The rush of winning is addicting as all get out and I want to win the Ultimin before leavin’ the DSFL.
Is Orange County the place you thought you would end up? Is there any other place you thought you would go or wanted to go?
I didn’t have any other place in mind but Orange County. Ya’ll already know I look good in orange/yellow tones! They are the best team in the league for a reason and I want to continue their hard work for the future seasons.
What do you think you'll contribute to the Otters, since it's going to be a little while before you start?
I won’t contribute much right off the bat. I think all I can do is be the best Quarterback I can be in the gym, in practice, and on the field. I know they’ll be watchin’ me real close to see how I’m doin’ next season in the DSFL.
What steps did you take in your DSFL career to make it to this point in the NSFL?
Hard work, dedication, and I never gave up on my dream on being a Quarterback. Don’t let others try to convince you otherwise.
How does it feel to be drafted by the greatest team in the league?
This is probably the greatest team of all time with the most Ultimus trophies if not for those cheatin’ varmints in Arizona. I feel blessed that God has answered my prayers and the Otters organization has recognized my hard work and talent on the field.
