[div align=\\\"center\\\"] S7 Portland Pythons Season Rundown [/div]
Today I am starting my annual Season Run down. The Portland Pythons went 12-2 on the season setting a DSFL record for the most wins in a single season, but some might argue that most of their success comes from the amount of active send downs they had this season. One thing I can attest to is that every single one of the S7 NSFL Draftees from the Pythons wanted to return to wash out the bad taste that was left from last season. The are hoping to make a push to get a championship for first year head GM PFTN. I will have every opposing scoring drive and of course every Pythons scoring drive. Without further ado let's jump into the S7 Portland Pythons Season.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Preseason Game 1: San Antonio Marshals (17) @ Portland Pythons (12)
[/div]
The Pythons picked up where they left off last season in the first preseason game of the season with a 17 to 12 lose against the San Antonio Marshals. Offensive player of the game was wide receiver Borro Gore, Right now I want to throw a red flag out there because if I remember correctly if a player plays at RB and Wide Receiver they should be a FB, but in the sim file they have Borro Gore as a Wide Receiver, I don’t know if this affects this sim but I thinking it shouldn’t be looked into being this is just a preseason game, but anyway Gore had 110 yards rushing on 23 attempts and had 2 catches for 54 yards. The defensive player of the game was awarded to Travis Poyer, Defensive Tackle, who had 7 tackles and a sacks. This is how it all went down.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]First Quarter
[/div]
After the Marshals and the Pythons failed score on the first 5 drives the hopes for the Pythons Season were starting to waiver. On first down, Mark Grau dropped a laser from the Gunslinger Cole “Cowboy” McCoy. Then on 2nd and 10 McCoy dropped back and found Gore, for the first reception since his position switch. Gore still showing off his running back skills caught it at the 26 yard line before getting tackled by Sheets after a 15 yard run after the catch, but Marshals Barnhardt got unsportsmanlike conduct for hitting Shaun Ariel right before Gore caught the ball so the Pythons declined the penalty. Now the Pythons were starting to move the ball and didn’t lose that high. On first and 10 Shaun Ariel broke off a 21 yard run before Sheets was able to hunt the runner down. Then McCoy found Grau for a 6 yard pass. The Pythons’ high must’ve start to wear off because Neighbors dropped a sure touchdown pass from McCoy. Then Ariel trying to recreate his big run ran up the middle but Brock Weathers the third found the running back after he got just a single yard. Then Justin Davis came out to kick the Pythons to the lead with a 32 yard field goal. Pythons 3 Marshals 0.
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Second Quarter
[/div]
After receiving a punt a little bit before the end of the first quarter with 22 seconds. But one the first play o the drive Cole McCoy got a 5 yard penalty off of an illegal shift. Then on the first play of the second quarter Borro Gore rushed up the middle for a half a yard before Edmonton was able to stop him. Then they handed it off to Gore again and this time he was able to stop the rusher but not before he got 5 yards. Then Vick for Catcherman for 21 yards before Mason Brown was able to tackle the shifty wide out. Then Brown got another tackle this time after a 6 yard run by Wallace. Then Micheal found Alvin for a 1 yard gain and a touchdown. Pythons 6, Marshals 7
[div align=\\\"center\\\"]Third Quarter
[/div]
On the first play of the third quarter Cole McCoy was sacked by Northy Eh II for a 9 yard lose. Then Shawn Ariel made that up with a 10 yard rush before Ramero was able to chase him down. Then Cole McCoy for Borro Gore for a 29 yard gain before Toronto was able to chase down the former running back. Then Cole was sacked for a 10 yard loss by Bastion Barnhardt. Then Gore got stopped at the Line of scrimmage which brought up a 3rd and 20 and that is when Cole McCoy found Mark Grau for a 30 yard gain and a first down before Calgary. Then McCoy found Jordan Palamento for a 4 yard gain before C. Jones was able to tackle him. Then Cole found Demarco for a 12 yard gain before he got tackled by Brock Weathers. Then Lamereux got a 10 yard holding penalty which brought up a 2nd and 30 when Gore got tackled behind the line by Barnhardt for a 1 yard loss. The McCoy found Grau for a 28 yard gain but sadly it was not a first down and they had to settle for a 24 yard field goal by Justin Davis. Pythons 9, Marshals 7.
Then the Marshals answered right back with this drive. On 1st and 10 Vick scrambled for a 1 yard gain before Zach Skinner was able to stop him from making any further damage. The Vick found Sean for a 35 yards gain before Phillip Wegner was able to run him down. Then Nyquist was able to get a short gain on the next play of a half a yard. Then Wallace rushed for 3 yard which put Sims closer to the field goal posts and he made the 23 yard field goal on 4th and GOAL from the 6. Nice stop Portland Defense. Pythons 9, Marshals 10.
On the next drive after a 33 yard return by Mark Grau, Shawn Ariel started off the drive with a 10 yard yard and a first down before Urlacher ran him down. But then on the next play Cole McCoy missed Mark Grau, wide open, at the Marshals' end zone. On th next play the Marshals defense must've fallen asleep because Del Greco was off sides and Toronto got a face mask penalty to move the ball from the 47 yard line all the way to the 27 yard line. Then Shawn Ariel got another run but this time he got 3 yard instead of 10 before Urlacher was able to pull him down. Then Borro Gore got 4 yard before getting pulled down by Calgary. Then Shawn Ariel got the ball and went for 2 yards on 3rd and 3 before Brock Weathers caught him. This led to a field goal by Justin Davis.
