Standout University of Connecticut linebacker Marquees Acho has been acquitted of all murder charges and has officially declared for the draft. When asked for comment, Acho had only this to say:
“Only thing I’ll get caught murdering is opposing running backs getting through the line.”
Acho, whose father was a cricket star and mother is an interpretive dancer, will have to prove plenty of doubters wrong as he only started 1 year at UConn, a school not known for it’s football program. Acho originally committed to play basketball, but bulked up and switched to football after advice from his father. The move payed off tremendously, as Acho led the AAC in tackles, while also reaching a respectable 6 sacks.
While it remains to be seen how front offices view Acho’s past legal troubles, one thing is for certain: Acho is talented and committed to being the best linebacker in the league.
