It was a quant night in the Acho household. A middle-aged woman was making a family favorite Mexican dip while father and son sat reminiscing about the past. This would have looked like an ordinary night to an outsider. However, to a family, this was the biggest night of the year.
Marquees Acho has had a tumultuous life. His parents where at the top of there respective careers, and young Acho had huge shoes to fill.
“And with the 49th pick of the DSFL draft, Norfolk selects Marquees Acho, linebacker, university of Connecticut.” And just like that, shoes were filled.
“I knows there are few expectations when you’re a 9th round pick. But I feel like I can come in and eventually contribute to a championship level defense. With how our defense stacks up, no qb is running for an 87 yard TD against us. You can take that to the bank.”
Acho continued, “also I’d like to thank my GM for drafting me, and I look forward to contributing towards a championship both on and off the field.”
When asked about his goals, he had the same sentiment.
“I’m not here for the fame or for the money. I’m here for two things: to win an ultimini and to became the best linebacker in the game.”
Acho also had nothing but positives to say about the team that drafted him.
“I’m glad to be a part of the Seawolves. I’d love to be a part of the group to create a new legacy. It may take some time for us to gel, but we have the potential to be a threat, sooner rather than later.”
