"I'm just here so I don't get fined" - Mike Hockhertz
And those were all the words he spoke. Meanwhile his college roommate and current spokesperson Ben Dover took the mic and started reeling off some real truths and demands.
1 - "Anyone who drafts Mike needs to be willing to experiment. Free safety, corner, line backer and even on the line. He needs to be on the field every single snap."
2 - "Dermot is a cheater and will barely go down in the history books.Nobody cares about punt returns."
3 - "Mike is a one and done player in the DSFL. Don't expect him to return for a 2nd season in the minors."
4 - "Tampering charges are just a way for HO to balance the league and keep poorly managed teams competitive"
Mike is currently looking for a new agent as of this press release.
While most of this media article is light hearted and in good fun, I do intend to experiment more with this re create. Cameron Taylor was the prototype SS of the NSFL. Never doing much on the field, updating in a logical and structured pattern. Mike is a new character. I want him playing everything from DE to corner back in different formations and I hope the team that I head to in the DSFL can accommodate that somewhat. There's no better place to be fluid in strategy than in the DSFL, especially with the "interesting" new batch of recreates ranging from OL to another huge defense draft class. I do intend to only play one season in the DSFL, I hope me and my future GMs can show my versatility off enough that Mike can crack an NSFL roster the day after the draft.
All the best to my fellow DSFL rooks and thank you for coming to my TED Talk on recreating in the NSFL.
