Welcome to my first edition of - oh shit, that dude is still here, wasn't he that bust Tyler Swift and then a pretty good Benson Bayley before that? Just kidding, we are going to be looking at ranking each of the positions, and because I love Taylor Swift, I will be assigning a song from Taylor Swift to the top 10. Now, I will not ALWAYS be going by TPE, it will go based off user and my familiarity with that user. If you like my list, great, if not, make your own. Well, without further waiting, let's get to my list!
I will go with a position, very close to my heart, Cornerback.
#1 Tyler Oles JR
Username: @To12143
DSFL Team: Portland Pythons
Current TPE: 177
Taylor Swift song: Love Story
Analysis: I have a feeling the team that gets Tyler Oles is going to love him, it's going to be a Love Story, no question at all. Love Story is an older song by Taylor Swift, but it is still good to listen to many years later. I think Oles has staying power to be the best Cornerback in the draft. He is by far the best cornerback on the board and will not need help building as this guy knows what he is doing. It'll be a love story for whomever takes him.
#2 Thubba Bumper
Username: @baueranthony9
DSFL Team: Norfolk SeaWolves
Current TPE: 161
Taylor Swift song: I knew you were trouble
Analysis: I knew you were trouble peaked at #2 in 2013 for Taylor Swift, but I think this guy will end up being a #1 cornerback wherever he goes. QBs will definitely look at this guy to be a bunch of trouble when he lines opposite of your best Wide Receiver. In addition, he made #2 on my list because I knew him from PBE, so I know he has a really great track record. Like the song, we knew the person before they walked in the room like we knew what we were getting from him when he came into NSFL. Now, the name is terrible, you are no Chumba, but hey, we knew you were trouble when you walked in.
#3 Zamir Kehla
Username: @retrospace111
DSFL Team: Portland Pythons
Current TPE: 160
Taylor Swift song: Style
Analysis: Style peaked at #6 on the charts in 2015, but you know, I really like your style. You have 141 posts, all really quality posts from what I can see. You did a lot of research on speed, and I really loved the article that you did about that. You prioritized correctly, so I really like your style. I have to say, I see a lot of Benson Bayley in your player. Trying to get noticed a lot, and clearly you were. You were a 2nd round pick in the largest draft class. As Taylor Swift says: 'Cause we never go out of style, we never go out of style.
#4 Brandon Booker
Username: @[Memento Mori]
DSFL Team: Myrtle Beach Buccaneers
Current TPE: 162
Taylor Swift song: Fearless
Analysis: Fearless peaked at #9 in 2008, but I think that Booker is someone that is fearless when it comes to the way he moves around the board and the way that he plays. We hear all about Bobby going to America, Bobby meets a Satanist, and Bobby meets a grey duck. Those are interesting pieces, it reminds me a lot of the Netflix show, End of the F***ing world. That is a British Comedy, so if you want to see a fun show, you should watch that. I think Booker reminds me a lot of Fearless. It should have been listed a lot higher on this list, but I think only peaked at 9. I could see him being a good #1 or #2 Cornerback on a team. I think if he continues to be Fearless, he will be great.
#5 Eldrick Avery
Username: @RansackTheUniverse
DSFL Team: London Royals
Current TPE: 160
Taylor Swift song: Speak Now
Analysis: Avery is a really good prospect, but he only averages about 1.6 posts per day. He has really had some good articles such as the S21 Mock Draft and the Rookie Spotlight which he did about 10 days ago, but that is a really low post amount. I think that Speak now or forever hold your peace is a really interesting song lyric for this guy. Maybe he's really active in Discord, I do not go too much on the main NSFL Discord, so looking at the presence on the forum alone. I think he could go much higher with a more board presence, or maybe I am just dumb, it could be that too.
#6 Alexander Hamilton II
Username: @[Alexander Hamilton II]
DSFL Team: Portland Pythons
Current TPE: 143
Taylor Swift song: Fifteen
Analysis: When you look at the song Fifteen, it talks about your mom waiting up for you after a date, well, considering you wrote your articles to your mom (I don't hate it, I like the premise), but I have to really think of a good Swifty song and this seems to be the perfect one that fits exactly what you are looking for. I think you are a good prospect, so keep it up. I think soon enough you'll find a named Abigail and soon enough you're best friends. You'll find a team who will love you and play you. I see you as a #2 cornerback which I was also in my HOF career. So, that's a good thing.
#7 Colt Mendoza
Username: @iStegosauruz
DSFL Team: Dallas Birddogs
Current TPE: 121
Taylor Swift song: .. Ready for it?
Analysis: Are you ready for it? Right off her Reputation CD, Colt Mendoza is about to hit you with so much knowledge that you will feel like you learned a ton. I love this song, it's a perfect get ready and go hit. In fact, it was the song she opened with during her Reputation tour. Yes, I would know, I saw it twice .. in one weekend. It's a song that you may not really know a ton about, but once you get to know it, you will love it. I feel like that is the same with Mendoza. You may not know who he is, but once you get to know him, you will love him. He jumped up on my list, just like that song jumped up on my list.
#8 Cadillac Harris
Username: @tractorcito_grande
DSFL Team: London Royals
Current TPE: 148
Taylor Swift song: London Boy
Analysis: This song just fit so perfectly as she is talking about London and how much she loves London and her comparison to the states, but she really just loves London. I think Harris can relate to that and the fans. I think the fans really like him in London for the Royals and he loves being there. I think if England were to get an expansion team, Harris would be super happy there. This is a song that is not really known too much, but it's a fun song that is really good from her Lover CD. Listen to it, you'll like it.
#9 Chester Sweets
Username: @revuhlution
DSFL Team: Kansas City Coyotes
Current TPE: 146
Taylor Swift song: The Man
Analysis: From her Lover CD, Sweets is currently the Man in Kansas City as their best CB, so he really is someone that may have to take a step back when he heads into the NSFL. But, right now, let's not focus on that. Let's focus on the fact that he is the man, and it may be tough to get where he will want to be in the NSFL because of the experience that the NSFL already has. It'll take a lot of work, but being the man in Kansas City should be interesting to see how he does in the NSFL.
#10 Andrew Witten
Username: @mithrandir
DSFL Team: Tijuana Luchadores
Current TPE: 146
Taylor Swift song: Superman
Analysis: This is a song from 2010 off her Speak Now CD. No one really knows a ton about the song, but he is going to need to go on superdrive and be Superman in order to get to where he wants to go. He is a little bit lower on some of the other lists, but he should be on everyone's radar. He will need to be superman to get higher than 6, but I could see him getting about 6th highest CB.
