Lambeau Field, Arrowhead Stadium, and now…? Home Field advantage as it is called, is nothing new to any sport. It’s the implied upper hand a team has playing in front of their own fans, on their own field, without having to travel. A mysticism starts to surround certain stadiums as traditions develop and superstitions set in. Three teams finished Season 1 with an impressive 6-1-0 home record (Wraiths, Otters, and Outlaws respectively - the Yeti close behind with an equally impressive 5-2-0). Another notch in the W column wasn’t the only thing that dominated these records. Last year every team not named the Baltimore Hawks (a true S1 outlier with 56% of their points scored on the road) scored a majority of their points at home. The Burial Grounds, home of the Yellowknife Wraiths, is the shining example of last season’s home dominance. The Wraiths scored an astounding 68% of their points at home in Season 1. Yellowknife’s only home loss came early in the year in Week 3, and even so they only fell by a narrow margin of 4 points. Santa Ana Stadium (Otters) and Denver Stadium (Yeti) are the next in line with 62% and 58% of their points scored at home. Early into Season 2 we’re seeing a similar home field trend across the league. Although the points scored are skewed at this point in the season (3 away games, 2 home) the Win:Loss ratio is picking up where it left off. So far 6 of 8 teams are undefeated at home going into Week 6. An obvious correlation is that (also true carrying over from Season 1) no team has a winning record on the road.
Will the home field results continue throughout this young Season 2? Or will we see a road warrior team emerge from the pack to snap the away record trends?

I couldn't find anyone who did this, but then again it's hard to search everything for "home field" without being buried. This is a fairly lackluster look into everything but I did find it pretty interesting. /shrug
I get bored at work and I like shiny graphs.
