After reading all of the Mock Drafts made for the S22 Draft I had the idea to mock all the S22 players to NFL teams. So instead of the Copperheads having the first pick the Bengals would have the first pick. So with that being said, I had to give myself a couple of rules
1. No trades
- This so I don't go crazy with trades
2. I will only be looking at the Pre draft updates
- This is because I began to write it Pre draft
3. Don't add too many rules
- Let's get on with the mock
Bengals - Pick 1 - Colby Jack (Royals)
With a hole at the quarterback position the Bengals make indisputable pick and take the better of the Jack brothers. Jack was picked 2nd overall by the Royals and has proven that he was deserving of that selection by leading all other quarterbacks in total tpe. All this is ignoring the fact that Jack was made by the user flyeaglesfly29. A proven user who will bring a lot of attention and success to the Bengals.
Redskins - Pick 2 - Phat Boi (Coyotes)
With less than stellar talent on the D-Line, Ron Rivera can’t pass on the chance to draft a generational pass rusher with this pick. Not only is Phat Boi the best player in the class in terms of tpe, he is also a very valuable asset to the team's locker room and will have a very positive impact.
Lions - Pick 3 - Brandon Booker (Buccaneers)
After trading away Darius Slay the Lions have a hole at the cornerback position and when Brandon Booker is still on the board you make the obvious selection. Booker is the best cornerback in the draft tpe wise and will be an anchor in the Lion’s secondary.
Giants - Pick 4 - Byron Dolls (Pythons)
The best offensive lineman of the draft goes early to a team in need of some protection for sophomore quarterback Daniel Jones. Although Dolls may not be the best player on the board he addresses a large need for the Giants and will be a staple of their offensive line for seasons to come.
Dolphins - Pick 5 - Monterey Jack (Birddogs)
After tanking for Monterey the Dolphins are ecstatic to finally have him in Miami. Being the first overall pick in the DSFL draft Monterey had a lot of expectations set for him and it’s fair to say that he hit on them all. The only reason he falls to 5th overall is because of the slight tpe difference between him and his brother.
Chargers - Pick 6 - Stanis?aw Koniecpolski (Birddogs)
This may be a surprise to people because of the huge whole at quarterback left by Phillip Rivers but with a linebacker like Koniecpolski on the board it is impossible to pass on him and pick a quarterback. Although linebacker may not be a huge need to the Chargers they just got a superstar who will lock down that position for a long time.
Panthers - Pick 7 - Troen Egghands (Buccaneers)
After losing Dontari Poe, Gerald McCoy, Mario Addison, Bruce Irvin, and Vernon Butler Jr. in the offseason, defensive line is a huge need for the Panthers. Who better than Egghands. Egghands is the the second best defensive lineman in terms of tpe and the Panthers being able to pick him at 7th overall is an absolute steal.
Cardinals - Pick 8 - Bruce Buckley (Buccaneers)
Another offensive lineman comes off the board and is chosen by a team in need of a star on the offensive line. Buckley is the second best offensive lineman in terms of tpe and is one of the most vocal guys in Myrtle Beach’s locker room which made this pick even easier to make. He will make Kyler Murray’s job much easier and his effect on the locker room will make a huge difference.
Jaguars - Pick 9 - Tyler Oles Jr. (Pythons)
After trading away Jalen Ramsey and A.J. Bouye the Jaguars are in dire need of a cornerback. When a star like Tyler Oles Jr. falls into your lap you don’t pass him up. Oles is the second best cornerback in the draft tpe wise and could revitalize a Jaguars secondary in need of a star. In terms of the user, Oles is one of the most prolific users across all sim leagues and is sure to put the spotlight on the Lions.
Browns - Pick 10 - Derred de Ville (Royals)
Although the Browns have other needs but they choose to fix one of their larger one in linebacker with de Ville. Being picked at 9th overall in the DSFL draft de Ville was the first linebacker taken off the board so he had to prove that he deserved it. He put all the doubters to rest with his defensive player of the year worthy season solidifying himself as one of the top defensive players in the draft.
Jets - Pick 11 - Eddie Jeeta (Coyotes)
The Jets have a huge need for a number one receiver after losing Robby Anderson to Free Agency. They need a number one for Darnold to depend on and Jeeta is just that. Jeeta is one of the more exciting prospects in the draft due to his amazing season in the DSFL and his stellar speed. Jets fans won’t be disappointed with this selection.
Raiders - Pick 12 - William Lim (Birddogs)
Everyone knows that the Raiders are in need of a receiver and who is better than William Lim. Lim led the Birddogs in receiving yards and was a staple in their offense. He will be a consistent receiver for Derek Carr and will bolster the Raiders passing offense.
49ers - Pick 13 - Michael Witheblock (Coyotes)
Another wide receiver!! The 49ers are expected to pick a wide receiver with this pick and they land a very solid receiver in Withblock. Unfortunately his stats weren’t as good as they could be due to being behind Jeeta but that doesn’t lessen his value in the slightest and the 49ers will be very happy to have him and the 49ers will be very happy to select him.
Buccaneers - Pick 14 - White Goodman (Birddogs)
Goodman finally got picked after waiting patiently for so long. Goodman is a top 5 player tpe wise but unfortunately slid down draft boards due to his position. The Buccaneers are eager to draft him and strengthen their running game. He and Ronald Jones will create a great young running back duo that may dominate the league in a couple of seasons.
Broncos - Pick 15 - Colt Mendoza (Birddogs)
Denver needs a defensive back pretty badly due to losing Chris Harris Jr. in free agency. That being said, they are also looking for a player to catch the media’s eye and draw attention to the Broncos. That is where Mendoza comes in. Although he may not have the most tpe his user iStegosauruz will draw a ton of attention and will draw attention to the Broncos.
Falcons - Pick 16 - Thubba Bumper (Seawolves)
After releasing veteran Desmond Trufant the Falcons' most pressing need is the cornerback position. They decide to pick Seawolves cornerback Thubba Bumper. Bumper is a top 5 cornerback in terms of tpe and his user, Bauer, is well known across the league for being very nice and helpful. This is a slam dunk of a pick for the Falcons.
Cowboys - Pick 17 - James Cho (Birddogs)
With the departure of Robert Quinn the Cowboys need a good pass rusher to complement superstar Demarcus Lawrence. Cho is exactly what the Cowboys need. He’s large, strong, and very quick. He and Lawrence will create a pass rushing duo that will be feared across the league.
Dolphins - Pick 18 - Calvin Golladay (Tijuana)
It’s time for another offensive lineman. The Dolphins undoubtedly have one of the worst offensive lines in the league. Drafting a difference maker like Golladay could really make an impact on both the run and pass game. When you have a chance to take a difference maker like Golladay you don’t pass it up.
Raiders - Pick 19 - Eldrick Avery (Royals)
After addressing their larger need in wide receiver earlier in the draft the Raiders decide to fill another hole in their team in cornerback. They decide to take cornerback Eldrick Avery, a cornerback who wasn’t one of the more vocal players in this draft but made up for it by having one of the largest tpe totals for a cornerback.
Jaguars - Pick 20 - Sandro Ryeu (Royals)
With Calais Campbell gone and Yannick Ngakoue the Jaguars could use another edge rusher to complement Josh Allen. That is exactly what Ryeu can bring to the Jaguars, a consistent pass rusher that will help bring back Sacksonville.
Eagles - Pick 21 - Thomas Passmann (Luchadores)
The Eagles need to help Carson Wentz, that is priority #1. Passman is exactly who they need to pick up. Passman was the Luchadores number one receiver and was second in total receiving yards behind Raheem Okusi. Not to mention that his user, Stamkos Fan, is well known across the league for being a solid earner and always having a good player.
Vikings - Pick 22 - Tommy Sacamano (Pythons)
Getting Kirk Cousins some more protection would go a long way and Sacamano is the obvious selection. He is one of the top offensive lineman in this class and with him on their line the Vikings would be able to strengthen their superbowl chances. Sacamano is a great pick and a no brainer for the Vikings.
Patriots - Pick 23 - Ben Slothisberger (Luchadores)
Let’s be honest, we know Stidham isn’t the answer. As much as Belichick doesn’t want to believe it, he needs a quarterback. That is why I decided to give the Patriots their quarterback of the future, Ben Slothisberger. If Slothisberger was in another class he would’ve gone much higher but due to being in the same class as the Jack brothers his draft stock has to fall. Patriots fans are ecstatic that they got their franchise quarterback at pick 23. What an absolute steal.
Saints - Pick 24 - Haha Mango-Panda (Birddogs)
The Saint’s offense is amazing and the only thing holding them back is their defense, specifically the linebacker core. They decide to pick up Haha Mango-Panda, one of the best linebackers in this class. He will revitalize a linebacker group in need of a young star and will help the Saints push for the playoffs.
Vikings - Pick 25 - William Alexander (Grey Ducks)
Back to back Grey Ducks come off the board. After trading away Stefon Diggs they have a need for a second wide receiver to complement Adam Thielen. Not to mention that they filled one of their earlier needs in the offensive line earlier. So it makes sense that they would pick a wide receiver. We’ll give them the best wide receiver on the board, William Alexander. After being drafted to the Grey Ducks in the fifth round he immediately put into the primary wide receiver role. He has proven that he can handle the spotlight so he is the obvious choice.
Dolphins - Pick 26 - Magnus Rikiya (Seawolves)
To be brutally honest, the Dolphins are a bad team and could benefit from any player. That is why I have them picking defensive tackle Magnus Rikiya. Originally predicted to be one of the first players to get chosen he falls purely due to his position. Rikiya is one of the best players in this draft class, and selecting him at 26 is an absolute steal.
Seahawks - Pick 27 - Andrew Witten (Luchadores)
I remain hopeful that Jadeveon Clowney re-signs so I’m keeping that in mind for this next pick. Although the Seahawks cornerback group isn’t terrible they could use a more reliable nickel corner. They decide to take the best cornerback on the board, Andrew Witten. Not only is Witten a good selection, but he could also be considered a steal as he might have been picked higher if he were a part of another draft class.
Ravens - Pick 28 - Lawrence Bass (Grey Ducks)
If there is one place the Ravens struggled in last season it was tackling. Their linebackers just weren’t always able to get the job done. Hopefully their selection of Lawrence Bass fixes the problem, as he has never had problems with tackling. Hopefully his talent will be able to motivate the other linebackers step up their game
Titans - Pick 29 - Joe McCabe (Pythons)
With the loss of All Pro tackle Jack Conklin the Titans need an offensive lineman to fill the void. Although this may seem like a reach, they were able to fill a hole with a very solid lineman. So in that sense it was no reach at all. McCabe is one of the better offensive line in this class and will do well under the coaching of Mike Vrabel
Packers - Pick 30 - Beep Bot Sr. (Coyotes)
Honestly how did Butter fall this far and manage to be picked by his favorite team. Butter is clearly the best player in the class. While most players in this class are only in the 200s in terms of tpe, Butter is in the 800s. Not to mention his astounding combine performance. He was able to run a 3.98 and bench 70 reps. He is the best player to ever participate in the combine and is a straight up steal.
49ers - Pick 31 - Nick Kaepercolin (Royals)
After losing Emmanuel Sanders the 49ers could use a wide receiver to bolster their passing game. Kaepercolin is not only the best wide receiver on the board but he is also an outstanding talent. He and Deebo Samuel will create one of the best young receiving duos.
Chiefs - Pick 32 - Cadillac Harris (Royals)
One of the Chief’s largest needs is at the cornerback position. With both Kendall Fuller and Bashaud Breeland no longer on the team they are in need of a new playmaker. Cadillac Harris is one of the most vocal players in this class and he will bring a level of intensity and excitement to the defense. This pick will help their chances at another superbowl.
