As one of the biggest targets, literally, being 6'5 and through his off-season program has bulked up to be 310 pounds. His performance in the recent NSFL Combine, he was the third fastest in the draft combine with a whopping 3.84 time in the 40-Yard Dash, and an amazing 27 reps on the bench press, tied for most in the entire combine. Being the fastest and strongest, going into the draft he deserved a top pick. If you did not think so, clearly your psychologist isn't doing his job.
Sitting at his draft table, he was ready for his name to be called. He knew he would be called early but at the same time he knew anything could happen. With the first chapter of his career about to end with his time at the deserts of Arizona, Blade attended the draft with his family and friends, ready to start a new chapter of his NSFL Career.
Going into the draft, the Colorado Yeti, contacted Blade as many other teams did, to see if he had any interest in working for them. Blade told every team the same thing, he would work for any team and had no preference of where he was playing. "It is no draft if you choose your team.", Blade told an NSFN Reporter. Unlike some other players in the draft, he did not want to ruin the second draft of the NSFL by choosing his own team.
After Dermot Lavelle was the consensus number one pick, Blade was mad. He believed he was the best player in the draft. He knew he would make any team who passed on him regret their choice. And once the Wraiths called Dermot's name, he knew once he met up against the Wraiths offensive line, he would play his hardest to show why they made the wrong choice. He is better than Lavelle.
It was not long until Blade's name was called. The Yeti had the 2nd overall pick, and also had shown interest in Blade's service. With that, his name was called right after Lavelle. Blade was overjoyed to be going to the mountains of Colorado. It is a big change as it is way colder than the deserts of Arizona. But Blade did not care. He knew the Yeti were special. They fell short in the championship game against Blaster's previous team, the Arizona Outlaws, and was happy to hear that the Yeti also thought he was the missing piece to their championship contending team.
Coming off a championship season with the Arizona Outlaws, Blade is looking to go for the Ultimus once again. Only this time, on the other side. He won with the Outlaws against the Yeti in the inaugural Ultimus. Being drafted to the already talented Yeti squad and paired up with another strong defensive end in Wozy, he feels he could create something special with this team. Obviously Wozy is not Jayce Tuck, his previous partner in Arizona. But this gives Blaster the room he needs to show his potential and not be only Jayce Tuck's shadow. He really could be the best Defensive End in the league, and he's ready to show it. Colorado will not regret their pick, in the best defensive player in the draft from the university of Texas.
