Player Bio
Evans started his sports career following in his father’s footsteps, playing hockey up until his freshman year in high school. Wanting to differentiate himself from his father, he switched to football, where he would be rewarded with an offer from Pittsburgh to play Wide Receiver. As a four-star prospect coming out of high school, he started off on special teams duty, getting to start as the team’s primary slot receiver after impressive special teams performances. He would win ACC Offensive Player of the Year in his third year with the Panthers, forgoing his senior year of football to declare for the DSFL Draft.
Analysis by Chigg Bungus, ISFL Draft Specialist
Draft Projection: Round 3
NSFL Comparison: Deondre Thomas-Fox
Overview
Strong one-on-one threat, Evans excels at fighting through contact and making tough catches, especially in short yardage situations. Lacks some explosive traits, and does not have that extra high gear to burn corners deep down field, but his body control and strong hands means he’ll be deadly in the quick passing game and in the end zone.

Fluid hips and feet
Great concentration, keeps eyes on the ball at all times
Great leaping ability - Will climb over defenders to get to the ball
Great special teams player at Pittsburgh
Tough, fights through defenders for every yard he could possibly gain
Soft hands, does not fumble even with heavy contact
Eager blocker on run plays
Weaknesses
Lacks great top speed to stretch the field
Will struggle against big, fast corners
Small frame
Struggled against Florida in his final game as a junior
