Pack Opening Review. Episode Four. Let's do this!
Here we are again. Another day, another pack opening. First, let's see where the pulls stand after last time:
Total cards opened: 18
Legend (Blue/Sapphire): 1 - 5.55...5%
All-Pro (Red/Ruby): 1 - 5.55...5%
Star (Gold): 4 - 22.22...2% (Incorrectly counted since Episode Two, now fixed to the correct number)
Starter (Silver): 4 - 22.22...2%
Backup (Bronze): 8 - 44.44...4%
Like we already said, it's tough to pull high rarity cards. And this is only the base set, we have not even touched the Awards, Hall Of Fame, or Ultimus Winner sets. But we can only keep going. The show must go on!
Before opening the pack, I would like to take a moment to thank anyone who has read this series so far. Like I said before, it is a live reaction. I am writing this thing as I am seeing the cards one by one in the pack. So it is not preplanned. It is my actual genuine reactions. Let's open the pack.
First up, we have Star defensive tackle, from the Orange County Otters, Rapid Eagle. I have to say, I love the render. He was drafted in Season 21, and I think he is still going strong. He was very lucky to be drafted in our league's New England Patriots. Along with his teammates, they can contend for the championship year in and year out. Even if they don't make it this season, despite being atop the American Conference, with 8-5, tied with New Orleans Second Line, because there are three teams behind them at 7-5. The ASFC is close and it is anyone's game. Even if the Otters miss it, it will be with a >.500 record. Good pull right out of the gate. The pack will either get better or go horribly wrong. Let's see.
Next is... Starter cornerback Cadillac Harris. He is a Season 22 draftee. I remember that guy from his London days in the Development League. He is now called up and in San Jose, leading the SaberCats in an amazing season, tied for third in the American Conference, behind the Otters and the Second Line, tied with the Outlaws and the Hahalua.
The next card is... another young guy. Starter wide receiver Jacoby Clay. He joined the major draft in Season 20 and is on the Honolulu Hahalua roster. And that's the only thing I know about him. They are on the card, that's why I know them. On to the next one.
And here comes the Backup card. Season 1 Yeti wide receiver, J. J. Reigns (spacing between the dots to give me an extra word. Watch and learn people!). I know nothing about him. Let's move on to the next card.
Continuing on the average pack pattern, the next pull is a Starter safety from the Philadelphia Liberty. An American city, named from a Greek word, literally, and the team name is a concept that was devised in Ancient Athens. It gets a 10/10 from me. Back to the card though. The player is named Wesley Eriksen. He is season 22. Meaning I passed on him in the Season 21 prospect draft. And then I wonder why I was fired. But please hire me at a GM spot, I swear I am smart!
And here is the last card of the pack... Star offensive line turned defensive end, Brave Ulysses, from New Orleans Second Line. He was part of the Fair Rubs movement, until he was not. But I guess he still is. The Fair Rubs movement is trying to alter the league. The next draft class has 15 offensive line prospects. That is nuts. When I joined in season 14, there was a handful of offensive linemen. You could count them on the fingers of only one of your hands. Impressive to say the least.
Aight, let's see the new stats:
Total cards opened: 24
Legend (Blue/Sapphire): 1 - 4.16...6%
All-Pro (Red/Ruby): 1 - 4.16...6%
Star (Gold): 6 - 25%
Starter (Silver): 7 - 29.16...6%%
Backup (Bronze): 9 - 37.5%
And that's it for this one, folks. I will be back tomorrow with the next pack! Peace!
