Hi there! This final-hour S27 ISFL Mock Draft comes to you thanks to the work of a bevy of players from the league, including a couple of brand new players from the S28 class. I want to thank everyone here for working around time zones and busy schedules over the last few days to help make this two round mock possible. This may not necessarily be the most accurate mock, but there’s also a great possibility that we’re all psychic, make sure to tune in tonight at 6pm EST to find out.
For the most part, users here selected a number and were given a random team to serve as GM for the week and select the players for their picks (Bandit239 and qWest both took two teams here and I also threw in descriptions for some picks made without explanation so that we could get this up on time). Users are credited at the end of their descriptions. Big shoutout to WildfireMicro for putting this group together!
Without further ado, let’s jump in:
FIRST ROUND
1.1
Eleven Kendrick Watts (Numbers[124715]) : This seems like the obvious choice here. Honolulu needs a wide reciever, Numbers is easily one of the top three prospects, in my opinion the top prospect which is why I have Honolulu taking Watts here at number 1. Not only is this a great user, but a great player as well. Second in the league in recieving yards with 941, and second in recieving touchdowns with 6, a clear frontrunner for OROTY and will make an excellent playmaker in Honolulu.
-Bandit239
1.2
Baltimore selects with the #2 Pick Xander Creed (Bandit239). Baltimore goes with the second pick on it's draft board. Despite needing receiving, Bandit not only is amongst the most active of the new creates in terms of discord activity but has also tested well in scouting; so Baltimore is going to go with best available. He shows a willingness to negotiate in terms of his build so Baltimore can expect a very pliable young runningback who's willing to invest his tpe where they want him to.
-Guriinwoodo
1.3
RB Madison Hayes (sve7en) - The Philadelphia Liberty seem to have a solid roster overall, but still have fallen short with a subpar offense and a bottom tier defense. While their defensive core is still on the younger side, their offense is on the decline and requires new pieces. Madison Hayes is the perfect fit to replace an aged RB squad, as he is the highest TPE player in the draft and averaged 4.9 yards per carry last year.
-Miller
1.4
Berlin goes with Lawrence Miller - Portland Pythons (overdoo): The dynamic cornerback has the skills to play different types of schemes and move around the field. His physicality and speed allow him to make up for mistakes made by any lack of awareness. Berlin makes this pick confidently as it closes some holes in which they have alot of players off contract, leaving them options to resign key secondary pieces and also plan for later picks on other pressing back ups.
-Titansfan/xtitanxmvpx
1.5
Colorado selects Cheese Farley (Guriinwoodo) KC: Alright I might be swinging for the fences but I can see Colorado taking Cheese Fairley. It may not be a sexy pick, but it's a pick that could solidify that offense as well as if not better than taking a speedy WR.He is a posting freak and is constantly doing and claiming tasks,which not only posts his player but also make other players better by clearing holes and keeping the QB upright.Everything I've seen on room and in the Locker room tells me that this a must have franchise piece. Also I heard he makes some mean nachos
-Master_Chief_DB
1.6
Duke Cheeks (TropicaliaCC) - Looking at the San Jose Sabercats roster, they're are a lot of holes they could look to fill. Only having 1 tight end on the squad, they could look to pick their, or even offensive lineman, lacking any on their squad. However I think the most major hole on their roster that they'll look to fill with their first pick is linebacker, with Tyron Brackenridge experiencing his third year of regression this season, it is very likely the Sabercats will need a linebacker next season. For this pick I have picked one of the more esteemed users in the class, user TropicaliaCC, whom I have had the opportunity to work with a couple of times, and his player Duke Cheeks. Cheeks is the highest TPE linebacker available for the Sabercats, with Jim The Vampire being a GM selection, and with user Tropicalia already having a job, I feel like this is the safest, and most sensible pick for San Jose.
-LB3737
1.7
Ace Savage - RB (Guunar). With the departure of Tatsu Nakamura, that leads to oco needing to fill that RB position. OCO currently only have one RB who is Bronko Mills, a power back. Savage would fill in the role as the lead back easily as Savage is already almost caught up to Mills TPE wise and he offers a different type of skill set as a speed back, as Mills is a power back. Savage may have big shoes to fill as replacement to Tatsu, but I think Savage would be up to the challenge!
-UpperNet
1.8
Bean Beanman - DE (SeymourSnatches). With Nero Alexander nearing the end of his career and no other glaring needs I feel Beanman is a solid choice. He is a great user and though he may not have the highest TPE it should be good enough to be serviceable if Alexander decides to retire this offseason. If Alexander decides to stick it out another season then Beanman having another year in the DSFL to gain TPE will make him a monster when he gets called up.
-Voltaqe
1.9
Tsuyu Asui - WR (WildfireMicro) Looking at the Otters roster, I dont see any real glaring needs besides RB which has already been filled and the otters defense is looking real stacked this season. So why not just go BPA on offense with Tsuys Asui. I know Otters already have recent draftee Owen Holloway and Garfield Depacito JR who should be getting up there in age soon and the two monster Tight ends in Phillips and Evans, but I think Tsuyu would be a great attention to the already strong offense of the Otters. Plus thinking in the future and drafting a young talent is never a bad idea. Tsuyu will be a great rotation player and has potential to eventually be the #1 in the future.
-UpperNet
1.10
Joliet Christ Jr. - QB (AW13) - Looking at Chicago's roster, They have a problem at LB, to which they've filled with Wasrabi Gleel. They have a strong QB in George O'Donnell, yet they have no prospect behind him for the future. While Christ is not the best QB he's a strong and good earning one. He has tremendous potential to be one of the top QBs in the future. With archetype changes and TPE redistributes, I could definitely see Christ Jr. being in a more favorable role for the ISFL and DSFL alike. Chicago would be able to solidify their QB spot for the future and only have to worry about any other position in the future.
-Gumbaman
1.11
With the 11th pick Baltimore selects Marlon Brando - DT (Menace0528[Blorgl]). Brando is a guy who was high up in Baltimore's draft board needing a bolstering on the Defensive Line and they are surprised Brando has dropped this far. He's been a fantastic member of the Royals and Baltimore is excited to have such a strong prospect to add to their club.
-Guriinwoodo
1.12
New York selects James Wilkinson - TE (treant). Tight end is a position the Silverbacks will have need of. With such a young group of players, adding the second highest tpe in the class to their roster will bolster the weapons that the young qb Howitzer has and add a big red zone threat as well as help on the line with blocking. I believe this is a good fit here because 1 its a need and 2 i doubt this player will fall to their next pick so a good grab here for New York, adding a reliable threat to the passing game.
-Bandit239
1.13
NOLA selects SparkySparky Boom-man - S (FleshBagSoup). NOLA's ultimus attending roster has suddenly had a number of holes open up due in part to some high profile retirements. Chief among these is the Secondary, which goes from one of the stronger units to a hot and cold one with a ton of regression incoming. Right now, they only have one safety on the roster, and neither of their two picks in the DSFL has really earned enough to be the heir apparent to the regressing Blaylock, or even the recently retired Hexagon. NOLA will take arguably the best pick and user in the secondary in this draft, as well as the only even halfway decent safety
-ztarwarz/Let’splay
1.14
Arizona selects - cornerback from Bondi Beach, HeHateMe PickSix II (Vorshayla). One of the best CB in the class and frankly surprised they have dropped this late in the first. Arizona (and everyone) can use more DB depth especially with some of its starters starting to peak. There is always a bit of risk selecting players who have retired early before, but even with Picksix the first, they reached 750 tpe so I see the floor as very high on this pick, while the ceiling remains consistent (if maybe slightly lower probability) with other top earners in the class. Further the manager of this player is a great user and has been a significant positive impact in the BBB locker room this season so the opportunity to add that to our environment is one we are excited to jump on.
-tomasnz
SECOND ROUND
2.1
HON selects - CB- Kita Chiasa (sabremike), Portland Pythons. Honolulu filled the wide receiver need in round 1, I see them shoring up their secondary here with Chiasa. A versatile corner who could fill a nickel back role immediately, but will add some much needed depth to the secondary in Honolulu, giving the safeties some breathing room and allowing the Linebackers to step into the run game more. A solid user here and a good player, seems like a decent fit and locking up the secondary is a priority in my mind.
-Bandit239
2.2
The Philadelphia Liberty select Kevin Morrison (thecanadiancanuck), LB from the Portland Pythons. Originally made by Miller, this pick opens up the 3-3-5 and 3-4 defensive playbook for the Liberty and allows them to rely more on their LBs over their relatively low earning DL (outside of a couple of studs). Though the user here stagnated with his last create, I have a lot of faith in Morrison to develop into a great player for Philly.
-qWest
2.3
BAL selects Maui Waialiki - DE (excelsior). Waialiki fits Baltimore's need for a DE nicely and confirms their commitment to improving their defense in a big way through this draft. He's new to the position so there are sure to be some bumps along the way, but the Baltimore FO is confident this promising rook will be an integral addition to the team.
-Guriinwoodo
2.4
CHI selects Preston Parker - RB (TheDangaZone). Parker fills a hole in Chicago's prospect pool of RB. While they have two strong RBs already, Parker whould make sure they have one for the future also. Parker is a good earning player and a player that will stay active. I can see Parker replacing Tirtawidjaja in the future.
-Gumbaman
2.5
The Colorado Yeti select Fergus Callaghan Jr. (H0PPY75), DT from the London Royals. This pick was initially made by Master_Chief_DB, so I’m doing my best to try to understand the pick here. Perhaps MCDB sees the relatively low earnings of both of the Yeti’s current DTs and wants to see if they can make an upgrade here. Callaghan Jr. will certainly spend at least another season down before being able to come up, and perhaps the possibility stands that the player here could be swapped to one of the team’s more pressing needs, like CB.
-qWest
2.6
The San Jose Sabercats select Borgo San Lorenzo (AgentSmith), TE for the Dallas Birddogs. Obviously I filled up what is in my opinion San Jose’s biggest need at linebacker with my first round pick in Duke Cheeks, but now it’s time to turn to the offense where I believe the biggest remaining holes in the Sabercats roster lie. If it were available I’d select an offensive lineman but the only option in Cheese Farley was off the board by the time my first pick had even come round. Instead I will choose the 2nd highest TPE tight end, as there is only 1 on the SJS roster at the time of writing, Season 26 GM pick Jaja Ding-Dong, and select Borgo San Lorenzo. San Lorenzo has a great user in AgentSmith, and I’m sure after another season in the DSFL he would be ready for the call up to play in the big leagues, and help out in San Jose.
2.7
Arizona selects Joseph Radetzky (StevenOSullivan), WR for the Norfolk Seawolves. For Arizona, it’s hard to say what we could use, but I think we need more depth and options for the offense, or at least future proofing at receiver in case of expansion. I did consider a TE here, but think a pure receiver is more important looking into the medium long term. Unfortunately I don't know a lot about the user behind the player but looks to be a solid earner who can hopefully sustain that in the long term.
-tomasnz
2.8
The Austin Copperheads select Candice D. Fitinyomouf (TheRealMazatt), DT from the Norfolk Seawolves. Unless I’ve missed a position swap from another rostered player, Austin currently does not have a tight end under contract for S27. However, with San Lorenzo going three picks before here and the next TE 80 TPE behind, they may have to depend on a switch from their GM pick later in this draft. The best player remaining by far at a position of need for the Copperheads and so the best pick available for them for me is the stud DT from Norfolk, Fitinyomouf.
-qWest
2.9
The Sarasota Sailfish select Mike Hunt (TheSparkyDee), WR from the Minnesota Grey Ducks. While the Sailfish currently roster two excellent WRs, the retirement of Rayne Gordon and the earnings stagnation of DSFL senddown Quavious McGrady leaves the team in need of a strong WR3. With Radetzky just going off the board, the Sailfish pull the trigger on Mike Hunt who, despite low average earnings, I think could really impress in interviews.
-qWest
2.10
Chicago selects Devonte Crook LB (Southie) from the Tijuana Luchadores. With only one LB in their prospect pool this one should be a given. They need someone to fill that space and Crook is the person to do it. While he's almost at 200 TPE he should still have quite the impact in the future.
-Gumbaman
2.11
The Sarasota Sailfish select Giovanni Bianchi (frijolhead[Sam]), RB from the Portland Pythons. Originally a WR before switching to RB for the Pythons, Bianchi joined late to this class but has done a great job of earning since then (much like another Python waiver pickup that Sarasota took in the first round last season). Bianchi joins Hunt as a developmental piece that could likely be switched to come in and play WR for the Sailfish or could sit back and develop into an eventual replacement for the mediocre Raphtalia Chan.
-qWest
2.12
The Austin Copperheads select Jim the Vampire (inverted), LB from the Dallas Birddogs. Some may be confused to see Kyle fall this far in the draft. For those that don’t know, inverted, the user for Jim the Vampire, is one of the two GMs for this team, the Austin Copperheads. As such, the Copperheads are allowed and obliged to select him with their lowest 2nd round pick, and so he falls here and will likely move to whatever position best serves the team for their future.
-qWest
2.13
NOLA selects Drip Dad, RB (CommishDrip). NOLA's current running back room consists of a high earning DSFL player who's almost certainly getting called up, a player created in season 15, and an extremely sporadically earning season 25 running back. If Rotchburns continues to earn at his less than stellar rate, a possible replacement running back will be even more important, and this is one of the last top ones in the draft.
-ztarwarz/Let’splay
2.14
The Yellowknife Wraiths select Buck Nekkid (Voltaqe), CB from the Tijuana Luchadores. Besides the need at DE which they addressed round 1 the only other position they are somewhat lacking is at the CB position. They pick up a CB here who has the potential to make it onto their lineup next season and hopefully shore up the last position they need. For some reason, I think this player is the best CB left on the board here.
-Voltaqe
And that does it for our two round mock! Thanks again for everyone’s work here, and good luck to all of the S27 draftees!
For the graders, sorry for the pain that calculating the payoff here is probably gonna be. By my calculations of word count please pay:
@Bandit239 - 10%
@Guriinwoodo - 7%
@Miller - 3%
@xtitanxmvpx - 3%
@Master_Chief_DB - 4%
@LB3737 - 11%
@UpperNet - 7.5%
@Voltaqe - 5.5%
@Gumbaman - 8%
@ztarwarz - 6.5%
@Tomasnz - 7.5%
@qWest - 27% (LB3737 and Guriinwoodo have indicated that they would like to send their 18% my way, so make it 45%)

They pick up a CB here who has the potential to make it onto their lineup next season and hopefully shore up the last position they need. For some reason, I think this player is the best CB left on the board here.

And that does it for our two round mock! Thanks again for everyone’s work here, and good luck to all of the S27 draftees!
