Greetings dear reader. I wanted to take a moment of your time and express to you all how much I believe I am the right candidate for Baltimore. Before I get to that, I want to quickly state that the situation that has unfolded in the last 24 hours is unfortunate. Whether or not I agree with HO’s decision or not is entirely irrelevant. I do not have the capacity to change it, I can only attempt to change the future.
In that same line of thinking. I wanted to put this out there to take fate into my own hands. As stated before, I believe with every single fiber of my being that I am the best possible candidate for this teams future. I know that some, perhaps many of you will be skeptical of this. You certainly are allowed to feel that way. Why would someone with no experience as a GM who’s only been in a war room for 2 weeks be the best candidate? A fair question. The simple answer is that you won’t find anyone more determined and dedicated to creating something great. I have a plan to bring this team back to where it was long before I ever got here.
On the 16th of this month I will have been a member of the ISFL for a full year. I have spent the vast majority of that time in pursuit of every available opportunity to GM. I have spent countless hours learning as much as I can about this league and how it operates. I’ve written plenty of my own word documents regarding philosophy and tactics to building a good team.
The Baltimore situation is not unprecedented. We’ve seen this play out at least 2 other times. Once in S22 with Chicago, the other more recently with Philadelphia. In both cases the decisions that were made came with nearly unanimous praise from members around the league. Having looked at both situations carefully, I’ve come to the conclusion that this may just be the most difficult choice HO has made yet.
I have reached out to a member of HO regarding my plans for Baltimore. I will reach out to as many members of HO that care to listen. As much as I would love to share a fully detailed plan with you. I don’t feel it would be appropriate at this time. I fully believe that Baltimore can, and should be great. We have the people, and the talent to do this. So long as expansion doesn’t sneak up on us that is. If HO is gracious enough to present this opportunity, with all that I am I promise this team will succeed. With that being said, be good people, we’ll speak again soon.
