Hey everyone, happy Feel Good Friday! The Casino launched another 6 questions for 6, which is a great thing. A lot of people still aren’t sure what to answer for these questions, so I wanted to make another post helping people to fill them out and get that money! I do understand that I only got 1 out 6 right last time, but I’m sure I’ll get the 6 of them right today! Right?
1. How many passing yards will Colby Jack have?
I’m a fan of Colby Jack. He’s my fantasy QB and he’s had some amazing performances this season. He is, despite it being very difficult to say, an average QB. That said, Sarasota, as good as they are, bad in defending the pass offense. 11th in the league in yards conceded. They are better than what they look, because they get the most interceptions out of all 14 teams. But if we’re talking about yards, Sarasota isn’t good at it. In the three games the Wraiths have played against 0.500 or better teams, he got more yards than he was supposed to if you consider his average yards/attempt (921 against 868). And he’s played well in games he lost too. So even if you got him losing, which I do, you’ve also have to get him getting a lot of yards.
Considering his average attempts and yards per attempt, he’d get 285 this game. But to me, that’s way too close to 300 yards. If he gets one extra big play, it’s already in the 308-370 category. So that’s what I’m going with.
My Suggestion: 308-370 yards
2. How many rushing yards will Raphtalia Chan have?
Despite what is commonly known, Raphtalia Chan does not sux. The 3rd RB with the most rushing yards this season, the player has been a major part of why Sarasota have continued their dominance in the league. There are two aspects of this conversation: His play against top opposition and his play against the Wraiths. Against opponents with a 0.500 record or better, he’s averaged 66.7 yards per game, slightly off his 75 yards per game average. But he did have an amazing 166 yards against the Wraiths, who have a bad rushing defense (12th in the league). I’d say he is unlikely to repeat his 166 yard game, but will be above average, as he’s been all season.
My suggestion: 68-93 yards
3. How many receptions will Michael Witheblock have?
This one is complicated. The range for these options is really small and they’re really random, but I’ll try to make my best case. Whilst Witheblock had an average of 6.8 receptions per game all season, he has averaged just above 7.5 receptions in the 6 games against 0.500 or better opponents. And many of these games had him with either 8 or 9 receptions. And I’m going for a Sarasota win, so I’m going to keep aiming high here.
My suggestion: 8-9 receptions.
4. How many tackles will the Yellowknife Wraiths have in the first half?
You would imagine this would be the toughest one out there. But it was actually pretty straight forward. No matter which stats I used, the Wraiths always average about 48 tackles a game. All 12 games, games against opponents 0.500 or above, losses, doesn’t matter. It all pointed all to the same number. Now this is the tough part so, keep up with me. There are 2 halves per football game. The Wraiths average 48 tackles per game. How many tackles are they going to get in a half?
My suggestion: 22-25 tackles
5. How many points will be scored in the game?
This is very much random, so I’m not going too deep into this. When they lose, the Wraiths score an average of 18.5. Sarasota averages 32 points per game and keep about this average when playing against top opposition. So I’m just adding it all up. The previous encounter of both teams was a high scoring, 65 pointer. I’d say it’s unlikely to repeat, especially if someone has an off day. So I’m keeping this conservative.
My suggestion: 48-56 points
6. Which team will win, and by how much?
The Wraiths have had a tough season. When they win, they do so against below-average teams and by low scores (except a few games). When they lose, they lose to bad teams or to good teams, and by a lot. It’s not going to be good for them. Yet Sarasota has had some disappointing performances in which they manage to get a win despite playing bad. I think their previous encounter was an unlucky night by Colby Jack, which I’m hoping does not repeat. So I’m going for a close game, but not too close. You might take some freedom here to choose what your gut feels like choosing.
My suggestion: Sarasota by 5-9.
All my suggestions combined:
1. 308-370 yards
2. 68-93 yards
3. 8-9 receptions
4. 22-25 tackles
5. 48-56 points
6. Sarasota by 5-9 points.
Hope you enjoyed this little media piece and good luck for tonight's game!
