So Tsuyu Asui has a new agent: former ISFL player and London Royals legend Eric Richards. But in the many seasons that Eric has been away from the ISFL, what has he been doing and why did he originally retire anyways? Well I will quickly let you everything about Eric's leave from the ISFL and his future endeavors afterwards. First let's talk about why Eric had to retire: his left knee was completely messed up. Near his final season in Chicago his knee was his by a low block and was never really the same afterwards.
The injury didn't start out bad, but when he was in Sarasota it really started getting worse. He just could not get to the same level of play as he used to be able to. This was especially a problem in Berlin and he started taking pain medication to get over the pain. It was soon after that Eric realized that he could become an addict like his late uncle and did not want to go down that path. The day after he realized he quietly retired from football and soon went home to Chicago to try to get used to life after retirement.
But as many of you know, boredom is a bad and weird thing. His wife and son noticed how frequently bored his was and kept trying to come activities he could do to get over his boredom, which he appreciated. One day he discovered a wrestling tryout school and, with his knee having been surgically repaired a year earlier, he tried out at the school and became a football based gimmick wrestler named Blitz. His frequently teamed up with a guy named Damon Sky as Skydive and they won several tag team titles all over the world. It seemed like he had finally found a new career path, but his knee once again betrayed him.
During a tag team cage match, he badly injured his knee from an awkward fall from the top of the cage. He would once again be forced to retire, this time from wrestling, and was once again left without work. But this time he had a good backup plan. He used his money to pay for college again and took up a business course this time. After getting his degree, he started up a sports agency called Mr.Richards agency. He started out representing his old wrestling buddies and would get several clients and a lot of good deals.
However the desire to join up again with football in anyway he could was still there, and he hopes that Tsuyu will be his key to that. However he is still gonna be the best agent he can be towards her and never get her a bad deal if he can help it. He already has several potential product placement deals set up that he can get her if she signs him. So after some quick meetings to set up what he can do for her, she signs his agency to represent her and he will be the one who personally shows up to do so.
So yeah Eric has kept busy after his playing days are over and is definitely a smart cookie. Thank you for reading and I hope to see you all on the field!
