BREAKING NEWS! JAYCE TUCK SPOTTED IN CHICAGO WITH VINCENT SHARPEI. RUMORS SPREADING, IS SHARPEI’S DAYS IN SAN JOSE NUMBERED?!
Jayce Tuck has been spotted multiple times throughout the offseason in Chicago with fellow NSFLer Vincent Sharpei. Tuck has been shown around the city by Sharpei and they have been caught going in and out of the gym together as well as early morning and late night practices at some different fields around Chicago. The Media hasn’t really been able to capture many pictures or footage of Vincent and Jayce, but it’s a general consensus that the two men have been working on drills against one another, fine tuning their skills back and forth. It was even noted that with a few personal trainers at the fields with the two men, Sharpei was taking snaps on the defensive end of the ball. No one knows if that is just for fun or if it is thoughts of things to come. After one Practice, our reporter Bob Zikas was able to talk to Vincent Sharpei and ask him a few questions.
Bob Zikas (BZ): We have seen you with Jayce Tuck around lately *Bob shows Vincent the pictures of Jayce and Vincent lining up against each other for drills.*
Vincent Sharpei (VS): Ahh man. Jayce reached out to me early in the waiver wire in the first season, and was one of the first guys to talk to me before the draft and congratulated me after being drafted. We talk back and forth through text almost daily and just are good friends who decided to work out together in the off season.
BZ: Well, There are rumors going around that because of Jayce being here your days in San Jose are numbered is any of this true?
VS: I’m playing the season out in San Jose and seeing what happens from there. I do not know and will not know what happens in the future but as of right now this is where my heart is and this is where I am going to play. I love the fans here in San Jose and I love the organization.
BZ: So would you say that your friendship with Jayce could influence you to leave San Jose?
VS: I am not saying yes or no. I don’t know where I am going to go or what is going to happen in the next off season. Like all media, you are trying to blow things out of proportion when I am just trying to relax and work out with the best Defensive End in the league, most likely the MVP of this season, and a two time champion. Let’s talk about something else.
BZ: That works for me then, Mr. Sharpei. So talking about the organization how do you feel about the Draft? What has Bayley and Blewitt brought to the organization already?
VS: Bayley has been committed since the minute we drafted him, Blewitt as well. When we drafted them at #4 and #5 overall, I shot them both texts congratulating them and telling them I can’t wait to start working with them. I’ve met with them both on at different times and they seem to be very ready to get this season started. They are both committed to working in the locker room and hitting the weight room every day. It’s going to be nice to see the changes in our Defense this year and see what they can bring to the field. Cake too, he is another man that has gone under the radar. He is going to be a force to be reckoned with next to Dan Miller. I believe that those two are going to be some of the best Defensive Tackles in the league.
BZ: Well then, how do you feel you guys are going to fare this season. You guys have made vast improvements to your defense, hypothetically of course.
VS: Well Bob, thanks for asking such an amazing question. Sarcasm aside, I believe that we have what it takes to overtake the Otters for the second playoff spot this season and can make it to the playoffs. I whole-heartedly believe that Ja Brill and Lord Nibbler are leading us in the right direction. All Hail our Lord and Savior Lord Nibbler. I can’t wait to see how season is going to go and I need it to start already. I can’t just keep practicing, I need to get on that field and hit someone.
BZ: I only have one more question for you, I am sorry for taking all your time. I just want to know, is there any truth to the matter of you being possibly shot in the face by a fellow teammate? We don’t get all the juicy details here in Chicago, but we get pieces here and there.
VS: *Sharpei laughs and looks at Bob seriously* If I was almost shot in the face, or if anything like that happened, do you think I would still be in San Jose? WOULD you still be in a place where someone tried to shoot you in the fucking face? I don’t think so. This is why I hate the media so damn much. We were playing a virtual reality game called “Werewolves” and Dan Miller did “Shoot me in the face.” In Virtual Reality. I can’t believe that some people would believe I would be shot.
Vincent walked away from Bob after that last answer, shaking his head and headed into the gym. Once there, pictures were taken of Vincent and Jayce in the gym, hitting the weight room and working on conditioning drills inside the gym. The gym was rented out and there was a few promising college players there also working out with Jayce and Vincent. Are the rumors true that Vincent is going to leave San Jose? Would Arizona be a landing spot for him? All of the speculation circulating Vincent Sharpei right now is the only problem circling San Jose right now but a lot of people like to blow up whatever they can to make something out of nothing. Who knows what will happen and we will see what happens once Season 3 gets rolling.
