Kobefromthefrobe: Hello!
Continuing what I’ve been doing for the last couple off-seasons I will be doing another interview this offseason. This time with three socks! Newly appointed gm of the grey ducks!
This past season Minnesota lost in the playoffs. After a sad exit in the playoffs Talk with me about what we can expect from the team during the upcoming season and if you plan on having any big changes as the gm?
Two socks: Hello everyone! I am TwoSocks, also known as three socks. I have big expectations for this team, and with a new awesome class coming in I can only see us getting better. We may lose a few players due to call ups, but I strongly believe in this teams strength and fortitude. Dindog and I still plan on building a community that nobody can challenge, and hopefully a team nobody can challenge will come along with that.
Kobefromthefrobe: I’m glad you have big aspirations for the team and I hope everything works out! Your player Zamir Kehla Jr. had 70 tackles 2 interceptions and 18 PDs! How are you looking to improve your stats to help your team improve this season? And what are your expectations for the team record wise? (Edited)
Two socks: Well I’m really happy for Roma Amir-Kani since he is my team mate, but I’m also really proud of my player Zamir Kehla Jr’s experience. Hopefully next year with more TPE I can perhaps get better stats, and help out my team even more! I’m not sure what to expect from Austin, but I definitely want the bar to be set as a playoff team
Kobefromthefrobe: I copied the wrong name ?
Two socks: Smh my head!
Two socks: I’m very proud of ZKJ, since he had multiple career highs in the ISFL. I’m even more proud of Austin though, since we made it to the playoffs, which was something I haven’t experienced yet. Hopefully next year ZKJ will settle more into the role of a cornerback, and Austin will make a deep playoff run!
Kobefromthefrobe: I hope the best for you guys in the upcoming season and I hope you get lots of interceptions and tackles but like I told UC just please don’t tackle me when we play!
Lrs are a big part of the isfl and they can improve or make your experience worse in the isfl. How do you think having a good LR has made your experience better? And Minnesota is pretty active are you happy to have the team you gm have a good lr environment and do you think it makes people want to play for the team more?
Two socks: I can genuinely say that the only reason I am active in the ISFL is because of the LRs I’m in. I have made so many new friends, and met so many new people just by using LRs. My priority as a GM will always be building a positive locker room, one that encourages activity and good times. I feel Minnesota is one of the best teams when it comes to making people feel at home, and honestly a good user is due to a good locker room.
Kobefromthefrobe: I’d have to agree without discord i probably wouldn’t be in the league or not around often. and definitely good user is due to a good lr! You have been in the league since April of 2022 (nearly a year!!!) but for some reason it feels like you’ve been here longer than that.
How did you find the isfl and what advice would you give new members to the league on how to stay active?
Two socks: Wow, nearly a year already?? Well, to new users all I can recommend is just find something you are passionate about in the league. For me at the start it was graphics, then being in HO, and now being a GM. It doesn’t have to be a job, or even media/graphics. It can be as simple as being involved in a locker room, like Kobe. This league is a great place, and it’s worth the time put into it.
Kobefromthefrobe: Definitely finding something you like and doing that is an awesome way to stay engaged even if it changed over time! I’m sure you’ve met lots of people in the isfl. Do you have favorite people to talk to or do you just enjoy talking to everyone in the league?
Two socks: There is a ton of people I enjoy talking to, and I can’t really pinpoint a group. I can say most of my experiences in this league have been positive, and I’m always open towards talking to people!
Kobefromthefrobe: I’d have to agree. I don’t think I have had a bad experience for the most part with someone in this league or any league! One of my favorite questions now. What’s your favorite isfl memory and what made it so memorable?
Two socks: I’d say my favorite memory was getting drafted by Minnesota, I remember being on the couch playing some FIFA just waiting to hear my name called. I was hoping I would get drafted to Minnesota so badly, and I’m glad it happened.
Kobefromthefrobe: That’s very cool. I think mine is the Honolulu draft when I had deffo not Leroy Leroy. I had gotten surgery that week and wasn’t around and I came back like 4 days after the draft and found out I got drafted and I was very happy because sid was the gm and numbers was my teammates!
Last ISFL related question then a non isfl one!
When you were on HO what was that like?
Two socks: It was honestly really cool. I got to see how each team functions, and how the cogs worked in the league. Of course being in HO doesn’t come without controversy and hard work, but I don’t regret my choice at all in going it. Everybody had responsibilities that were vital to getting the league to work. I am happy with what I did in HO, and if anyone is looking to join HO (depending on when this gets released) DSFL HO is currently taking applications!
Kobefromthefrobe: I’m posting it onto a draft on forums as we do it so right after this! Last question who do you want to win the superbowl and why?
Two socks: I want the chiefs to win, because screw the eagles! I am a commanders fan so if the eagles win I’ll never hear the end of it from my friends that support the eagles
Kobefromthefrobe: Good pick!! Thanks again for doing this with me. I appreciate it lots!
@TwoSocks thank you!!
I hope everyone enjoys reading this and I appreciate everyone who reads all of them.
