"You're just a pair of legs!"
"He doesn't even have hands to catch with."
"Stick to soccer, Legs!"
Legs McMillion has heard it all before. How can a man that only has legs possibly make it as anything other than a kicker in professional football? That's what his high school coach thought, until he witnessed Legs' legs in action. Yes, he can kick, but not very well. McMillion got his chance to shine during a scrimmage game where his coach witnessed him catch a kick return and zip past everyone to the endzone. The rest is history.
Legs was a standout in high school, but he had an issue fumbling the ball. For some reason, he just couldn't manage to hang onto it very well. Despite this, he still managed to put up impressive numbers, including 3 touchdown returns in a single game. High school is also where he met his rival, Arms O'Billion. Arms was originally a wide receiver, but switched to kicker to follow his passion.
After high school, McMillion was scouted by a few different colleges, but landed at Leg Day University. It was seemingly perfect, as everyone there was obsessed with quads. Legs became a bit of a local celebrity.
Before classes started, Legs McMillion competed in the 100m dash in the Paralympics T45 class. He again ran into his rival O'Billion, who went home with silver for the race. Legs edged him out for the gold. McMillion also competed in discus.
McMillion's fumbling problems continued at Leg Day, where he fumbled his first two kick returns. Things were looking rough, when suddenly something he never dreamed possible presented itself. He was offered the world's first torso transplant! After thinking it over for many days, Legs decided against the procedure to let someone else more in need have it. He found himself needing to dig deep to find ways to cover the ball more naturally, and in his next game he did just that. McMillion scored his first collegiate return touchdown and did not fumble once . He also had a single rush for 19 yards.
By the end of his college career, Legs McMillion went from being a local celebrity to a national treasure. He was getting interviews all over the US. Journalists everywhere wanted to hear what Legs had to say.
Currently competing in the Prospect Bowl with the Shelbyville Stallions, Legs McMillion and the rest of the team had a rough start on day one. McMillion did not get the starting kick returner position, and he failed to stand out from the stacked receiving core the Prospect Bowl currently boasts. In his first game against the Centurions, the Stallions actually managed to pick up a win. This was almost entirely due to the defense getting a late game safety, however. McMillion had 4 receptions for 34 yards in the game. While not eye-popping, it was good enough for second most receiving yards on the team. The Stallions beat the Centurions 15-13.
Legs improved in the second game against the Spartans, but also took a step back. He caught four balls for 53 yards, good enough again for second most on the team. He also managed to get his first touchdown. However, he had a key fumble that was picked up by the Spartans. The Stallions would go on to lose the game 27-26, and McMillion couldn't help but feel as though his mistake cost the game.
Legs McMillion followed his conflicting game up with an outright terrible one. Against the Mastodons, he had 3 receptions on 9 targets for only 19 yards and no touchdowns. After a narrow win in game one and a narrow loss in game two, the Stallions were given their second straight loss against the Mastodons with a final score of 17-27. They had a Prospect Bowl league worst record at 1-2.
Day two of the Prospect Bowl saw a different side of the Stallions come out. Game one was a bit of a slow start, but the Stallions managed a more convincing 15-20 win against the Centurions this time. Legs McMillion only had 3 receptions for 18 yards, but he also had 2 touchdowns. While he was still struggling to produce yards for the team, he only missed 1 target and his touchdowns were the only ones produced by the Stallions this game.
Game two versus the Spartans is where the offense finally started to click for the team. McMillion finally started to find his place on the offense, producing a team high 82 yards on 4 receptions. He did not produce a touchdown, but the rest of the Stallions had no problem finding the endzone. Each of the three runningbacks rushed their way to getting touchdowns. Coke Zero and Cheetahman also found receiving touchdowns paving the way to a 38-21 knockout. Last but not least, the game MVP. Leading the way with a 75% completion rating, 316 yards, 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions and sacks, we have our very own Stallions QB Bot. Let his 119.7 Quarterback Rating speak for itself.
Finally, we find ourselves in the final game of day two. With the Stallions rolling on a two game winning streak, things appeared to be looking up for the whole team. The Stallions and the Mastodons traded leads the whole game, each team landing blow after blow. They went into overtime with a tied score of 34-34, but neither team could outdo the other leading to a tie. Legs McMillion had the best game of his young life, however. He posted 6 receptions on 7 targets, a team leading 118 yards, and 2 touchdowns. His most memorable moment came after the game, however, when a young fan approached him to ask for his autograph. Legs McMillion smiled, asked the child to close his eyes, and when he opened them back up he had a signed gloves with Legs McMillion's name on it. "I can't use this glove but they insist on giving it to me anyways. Hopefully you can find some joy in it", McMillion said as he teared up walking away from the child. He finally knew he was right where he was supposed to be, doing exactly what he is supposed to do.
With the final day of the Prospect Bowl approaching, the Stallions turned their league worst record into the league best record, sitting at 3-2-1. The DSFL draft isn't far away either, but Legs McMillion is unsure of where he will be drafted. All across the country, news sites keep referring to him as a phenomenon. He has had some great recent performances, but some lackluster ones have caused him to not even be listed on most mock drafts. With a stacked receiving class, it's hard to know where a speedster like Legs will land. One thing is for sure, whichever team drafts Legs McMillion will get someone with true character.
