Trent Thigpen may be one of the best defensive prospects coming into the S44 DSFL draft, and it won't be long before each time is clamoring over the opportunity to draft him. While each team might be excited to have him join their team, does he feel the same way towards them? Let's find out!
Trent: Up until about a week ago I'm not sure I could have even named a DSFL team. I'm a football player, not a football fan. With that said, I know I'm about to join one of them so I have been doing my research over the past week and this is what I've come up with.
First things first, the Minnesota Grey Ducks . Now look, anyone who knows Trent Thigpen knows Trent has Wisconsin blood running through his veins. I faced Minnesota twice in college including a senior year performance that had three sacks and an interception. We didn't like them and they didn't like us. While the Grey Ducks have nothing to do with the university whatsoever, they are in the state of Minnesota, and for that I rank them 8th.
Coming in 7th has to be the Portland Pythons , I'm not saying I'm afraid of snakes I'm just saying can we really trust a creature that slithers like that?
Tied for 5th place are the Dallas Birddogs and the Norfolik Seawolves for the simple reason that I have never heard of a seawolf and I have never heard of a birddog, but both sound a little creepy to me so I'm not sure I would want to be either of those.
This next choice was a tough one, but in the end I had to settle on the Tijuana Luchadores While I would find it pretty cool to live in Mexico and have the opportunity to learn how to speak spanish and learn more about Mexican culture, when I thought about it more I realized that I can't handle spicy food and the sight of one jalapeno would send me flying back to Wisconsin to eat cheese curds on white bread.
In third would be the Kansas City Coyotes . While nothing is necessarily all that exciting to me about Coyotes or Kansas City, their team does have my favorite color scheme out of the entire DSFL and I'd love to rep the purple and yellow.
Finally in the top two are the two teams outside of North America. I might not know the extent of what those teams go through for their travel but for me it would be worth it to have the opportunity to live on another continent.
Between those two, while I love the idea of being a member of royalty on the London Royals , since I have always been a King, I know in my heart that I'm a beach boy despite the Wisconsin blood in my veins. So while London fits in at second on this list, send me to my #1 destination in Bondi Beach and watch me become the tannest bad MF on the field.
