Hello everyone and welcome back to another edition of Dominator Power Rankings. This time up we have the DSFL. With only four games to go, the favorites for the Ultimini are coming into focus. We'll also take a look at the top offensive weapons for each team. If you want to know more about how Dominator Power Rankings are calculated, please see the first edition here.
Previous Editions
ISFL: Week 4, Week 7, Week 10
DSFL: Week 4, Week 7
Onto the rankings!
8. Norfolk Seawolves (4-6)
Last Edition Rank: 7th (-6.657)
Dominator Score: -5.231
% of Time Winning: 26.6%
% of Time Losing: 53.2%
Ranking in last place in both points scored and points allowed, it comes as a bit of a surprise that the Seawolves still have a shot at the playoffs. Timely wins in the division have put them within striking distance of the #2 spot in the south. Trying to find a way to improve the league worst rushing attack may prove to boost the Seawolves chances.
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Diego López de Castilla, WR (@DL14) - 894 YDS, 3 TD
2. Worsethan Blaze, FB (@g2019) - 768 YDS, 4 TD
3. Benny Hanna, WR (@kingtag1999) - 577 YDS, 4 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 4-10
7. Minnesota Grey Ducks (3-7)
Last Edition Rank: 8th (-11.851)
Dominator Score: -4.418
% of Time Winning: 29.2%
% of Time Losing: 50.9%
The Grey Ducks had their best week of the season with two conference wins to pull themselves into a three way tie for second place in the North. Possibly peaking at just the right time, Minnesota may be able to salvage what looked like a lost season. An improved running game and an above average defense may be just what the Grey Ducks need for the underdog run at the Ultimini.
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Willie Swaggert, RB (@GlimsTC) - 835 YDS, 6 TD
2. Thomas Sutha, WR (@lemonoppy) - 820 YDS, 4 TD
3. Hercules Henry, RB (@woelkers) - 776 YDS, 5 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 4-10
6. London Royals (3-7)
Last Edition Rank: 6th (-4.523)
Dominator Score: -4.005
% of Time Winning: 29.7%
% of Time Losing: 43.6%
This past week was more of the same for the Royals. They picked up a big conference win against Kansas City only to drop two straight and lose any momentum. Ranked in the middle of the pack in just about every category, the Royals have the inside track to the 2nd seed in the North as they own any tiebreakers with Minnesota and Kansas City. Having already beaten Portland once this season, could they be an upset pick to make it to the Ultimini?
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Joe Bazooka, RB (@Bazooka_Joe) - 1096 YDS, 5 TD
2. Orange Julius, WR (@OrangeJulius) - 863 YDS, 5 TD
3. Robbie Chosen, WR (GM BOT) - 617 YDS, 2 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 4-10
5. Kansas City Coyotes (3-7)
Last Edition Rank: 5th (0.056)
Dominator Score: -3.980
% of Time Winning: 29.0%
% of Time Losing: 51.3%
Talk about a mid season slump. In this very column the Coyotes were pegged as the top team in the DSFL after four weeks. What has happened since then? Kansas City hasn't won a game and is currently on a six game losing streak. If they fail to beat Norfolk on Tuesday, they would have lost to every other team consecutively. That's the kind of history making you want to avoid!
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Anakin Skywalker, RB (@ForSucksFake) - 1039 YDS, 6 TD
2. Leonard McCoy, WR (@Dynamicmlb_42) - 576 YDS, 0 TD
3. Tyreek Howl, WR (GM BOT) - 570 YDS, 4 TD
Season Predictioin Based on Dominator Rankings: 4-10
4. Dallas Birddogs (6-4)
Last Edition Rank: 3rd (2.685)
Dominator Score: -1.041
% of Time Winning: 35.5%
% of Time Losing: 46.6%
The Birddogs failed to fully take control of their playoff chances with back-to-back conference games to Tijuana and Bondi Beach. The hope is that their offense is back on track with the victory over Norfolk after sputtering to only 10 points in each of the previous two games. With a two game lead for second place, disaster would have to strike for the Birddogs to miss the playoffs. Though even if they get there, the mighty Luchadores stand in their way who have beaten them twice with a combined score of 85-10.
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Lane Frost III, WR (@LANEFROST) - 897 YDS, 4 TD
2. La'Fluke Paris-Johnson, WR (@hemhem) - 747 YDS, 4 TD
3. Marty Crane, RB (@Marty the Monster) - 536 YDS, 2 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 9-5
3. Bondi Beach Buccaneers (4-6)
Last Edition Rank: 4th (1.164)
Dominator Score: 1.302
% of Time Winning: 50.5%
% of Time Losing: 33.6%
The Buccaneers have lost a lot of games late, probably has something to do with their league worst pass defense. If they can figure out how to hold on to the lead and potentially win out, they could play spoiler in the playoffs as their play has indicated that they can hang with anyone. Their opening game loss to Norfolk, where they lost in the final minute, looms large as it puts Bondi Beach behind in the tiebreaker department.
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Bertie Mannering-Phipps, RB (@bernardhibou) - 1119 YDS, 9 TD
2. Ian Degon, WR (@Wendriz) - 692 YDS, 6 TD
3. Skyship Weatherlight, WR (GM BOT) - 413 YDS, 4 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 7-7
2. Portland Pythons (8-2)
Last Edition Rank: 2nd (7.698)
Dominator Score: 6.697
% of Time Winning: 56.5%
% of Time Losing: 25.0%
The Pythons look ready to take out any team as they have already clinched home field advantage in the conference championship game. With 4 straight victories, the Portland defense is playing lights out and is unquestionable the top defensive unit in the league. Having only allowed 20 points or more in 3 games this season, the Pythons offense (which is led by the reigning DSFL MVP by the way) doesn't need to light up the scoreboard to find victory.
Top Offensive Weapons:
1. Sean Aldrich, RB (@slumped64) - 924 YDS, 8 TD
2. Eldroh Kove, RB (@Matteo) - 908 YDS, 6 TD
3. Jordan Bamford, WR (@"Bamford13") - 755 YDS, 5 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 11-3
1. Tijuana Luchadores (9-1)
Last Edition Rank: 1st (10.370)
Dominator Score: 10.676
% of Time Winning: 62.1%
% of Time Losing: 14.9%
There is only one obstacle for the Luchadores, the defending DSFL champion Pythons. They have lost their last 3 games against Portland dating back to last season and including the Ultimini. With a chance to slay that demon on Tuesday, no game has loomed so large for the DSFL title hopefuls. A top-ranked rushing attack headed by four (!) backs, the Luchadores have dominated everyone else. Time to see what they are made of!
Top Offensive Weapons:
Kyle Bessey, RB (@Pokecraft) - 913 YDS, 18 TD
Kit Fisto, RB (@Pvtpenne) - 652 YDS, 4 TD
Pitter Patter, WR (@r0tzbua) - 637 YDS, 3 TD
Season Prediction Based on Dominator Rankings: 13-1
That's it for this week's DSFL rankings. Which team is going to take home the Ultimini this season?
