It's time to earn some money! Thank goodness for this x2 holiday week! For my 1st article I will be ranking the ISFL color rush fields for the current season, s45. I do not have an eye for art or graphics so I will purely base my rankings on which fields designs I like the most (nothing personal), bonus points if you can make me laugh, well let's not waste any more time, let's get on with the S45 color rush Rankins of the ISFL!
14 - New Orleans
As a Saints fan this one kind of stung a bit, but it looks like they just forgot to submit their color rush design for this season because they used the same field for the regular season games. Even though it's not a color rush field, the overall design and look of the field isnt bad, but i have to place NOLA last because of this, better luck next season.
13 - Arizona
For the Outlaws field, there are a few changes between the regular season field and the color rush, mainly the bright field being blue and the endzones being yellow with card suits, and an added horseshoe around the outlaw at the 50. Originally, I had Arizona a little higher on my list but I'm just not a fan of this bright color scheme, its kina clashes in my opinion.
12 - Colorado
The Yeti's field isn't very exciting to me, the field is purple with alternating speckled? spots on the field. The endzone has pawprints up and down it. The other thing on the field is the phrase "take your dog to work day" I'm not sure if this has some meaning within the organization. This field doesn't look bad to me, but I had to place it somewhere and some other fields looked better.
11 - Yellowknife
The Wraiths field fit them very well, I just believe this design could have been executed better. I do like the reaper with the blood splattered scythe on the 50-yard line. The colors on the field suit the team pretty well with it being black and grey alternating. Simple endzone gets the point across. Can't forget the random advertisement on each end of the field for Zen's Za Italian Pizzeria, I'm not sure what that's all about but it's hard to turn down that add revenue, so I dig it.
10 - Sarasota
Oh boy, While I really enjoy the Holiday theme of this field, that fish dressed up as Santa is not for me. With that out of the way, I like the little town at nighttime that is all decorated up, with Santa soaring through the sky. I even like the yard markers looking like multi-colored Christmas lights. I solely base my ranking of this design on the Sailfish, Its not a bad one, just a creepy looking fish.
9 Orange County
Very cool usage of turning the field into a pool of otters surrounded by pool innertubes. This one kind of reminds me of the Bloons game with the art style. But otter than that there not much else that wows me, and with that, I have to place OC at number 9.
8 - San Jose
The Sabercats become.... The Saberkilts! It's a very neat play on words, but they also turn the field into a giant kilt with a flannel design all across the field, as a flannel wearing person, i very much approve of this decision. but that's where the creativity ends.
By no means is this an ugly field, its just kind dark. It is a simple deign and that works for this color rush. 8th place.
7 - Cape Town
Cape Town Crush, I mean the Cape Town Cuties! The endzones are plastered with cute pictures of dogs and cats, heck even the 50-yard line logo is a cutie! What's not to like here. Very simple change to name works in their favor. but everything team has to be places somewhere, and the Cuties get placed at 7.
6 - Balitmore
The Balitmore Hawks or is it Balitmore Rocks? If not, then it should be. This design is solely in this spot because of the rocking hawk in the center of the field, it was the 1st time I noticed with watching the stream. Other than that there's not much happening on the field as far as color rush goes, just the added pink color to the field. But that is one good looking hawk.
5 - Austin
the Copperheads made me chuckle a bit when I 1st saw this field. The filed is mostly grey with copperhead in the center as a prisoner locked down with a ball and chain and written under it is the words "R.I.P Bozo". This seems to be related to the punishment system in place within the ISFL, I'm not 100& on this because I'm still new here. 5th place for the Copperheads.
4 - New York
The Silversbacks Field looks like a tattooed piece of skin in the style of American traditional. The Silverback looks sick on the 50 yard line, and I love the No Regerts on the sidelines. As a Tattoo fan, I vibe well with this field, so I feel the need to place this field at number 4.
3 - Chicago
Chicago beans huh? I don't really understand that part of it but whatever, we aren't here for that, we are here for the field design. Its always very important to return all shopping carts to the endzone, or wherever carts are designed to go. The field is covered in shopping carts. I'm placing this one at 3rd just because I can.
2 - Berlin
This field is one of my favorites, I've always loved the resign of the no step on snek, so much i have a couple of stickers of it. So naturally when I saw the Berlin Salamanders turning the field into one giant no step on salamander, i nearly died laughing. Big W in my book, I wish i could place this field at number 1.
1 - Honolulu
I think this field nails what a color rush is supposed to be in my opinion. It's very simple, not too much going on to distract you from what's happening, uses the teams color to emphases the field. Also, the use of manta rays on the yard numbers is very subtle but a nice thing to randomly find during the game, plus the big manta ray in the background is neat. With all of these things added together it becomes on of my favorite fields of this color rush season.
Welp that's it, these rankings don't mean much, just list which fields I like the most, in a numerical order. All the fields are great. Good Luck to everyone this season!
Ps this is not my rookie x2 media.
