ASFC
No one has yet has locked in their playoff spot but there is a clear top 4. There is going to be a super sad team sitting at home for the playoffs this year thinking to themselves, "if we were only in the NSFC".
Arizona Outlaws: 10-3
vs YKW
@ SJS
Vs AUS
AZ more than anyone in the ASFC controls their own destiny. With all three remaining matchups vs playoff teams (NFSC tho, am I right?), they have a chance to secure that bye and HFA in the Conference Championship game. The week 16 matchup with AUS will likely be the big decider in that top spot. With already having lost to AUS at home this season, week 16 is a likely must win for them. A win tonight and a loss by SJS and they are locked into the playoffs.
Austin Copperheads: 9-4
vs NOLA
vs COL
@ AZ
Austin is both on the heels of AZ and has OCO and SJS on their heels. Austin seems to have the easiest of the top 4 schedules left but will have that super important week 16 game. That game will likely be battling for the bye and HFA. A win tonight and a loss by SJS and they are locked into the playoffs.
Orange County Otters: 9-4
@ SJS
Vs HON
Vs NYS
Tonight the Otters are all in and can almost lock in playoffs. OCO would have to lose out and SJS would win out to send it to a tiebreaker where they have an even 1-1 h2h, same 7-4 conference record, and would come down to points for with OCO having a current +65 point advantage. A loss for OCO tonight puts them on the outside looking in with SJS taking both of their H2H matchups.
San Jose Sabercats: 8-5
Vs OCO
Vs AZ
@ NOLA
Kats got to get it done tonight to have a real shot at staying alive in this playoff race. A loss tonight makes it a real slim chance they find their way in. Even if they do get pass the otters tonight, they will also need to take do AZ at home or hope for OCO to drop another vs HON or NYS. After a great run this season they still need to put their best to games together these next two weeks to have a chance.
Eliminated:
NYS - have absolutely caught fire and would not be a team I want to run into these last few weeks. They are embracing the role of spoiler.
NOLA - Have an awesome group here that should be looking forward to next season where they should be in the middle of all these conversations
HON - Tanks!
NSFC
Baltimore Hawks: 11-2
Vs SAR
@ CHI
@ CTC
Have locked in the one seed and are playing with Ultimus Home field advantage in mind. AZ is only one game behind so they will push to make sure they can lock in Season Champs (just like we all knew was gonna happen)
Cape Town Crash: 7-6
@ COL
@ SAR
Vs BAL
Battling for playoffs and the home field advantage in the wildcard round. Schedule wise they will face SAR in week 15 that should play a big role in how things shake up. Ending the season at BAL with likely seeding or playoffs on the line is now how you want things with how hot BAL has been this season.
Yellowknife Wraith: 7-6
@ AZ
Vs BER
@ SAR
Again just as we all expected. YKW are still clinching onto that final playoff spot but have a tough game tonight vs AZ and will end the season at SAR who is looking to take their spot! Tonight's win would really set them up well going into the last couple weeks. A loss tonight would likely mean a battle vs SAR in week 16 for a win and in scenario.
Sarasota Sailfish: 6-7
@ BAL
Vs CTC
Vs YKW
SAR more than anyone outside BAL controls their own destiny by playing all the teams ahead of them in the rankings. Winning out would lock them into a playoff spot. If you are going to lose one as SAR tonight vs BAL would be the hope. They games between CTC and YKW will be the difference in this season playoffs teams.
Chicago Butchers: 5-8
@ BER
Vs BAL
Vs COL
CHI is still here and kicking and doesn't even have the craziest schedule to get right back in the much of things here. Some other things need to happen for CHI to get in here but they have a chance. A win tonight and dn upset win vs BAL at home would really send CHI middle of the conversation going into week 16.
4-9
4-9
Technically neither BER or COL are eliminated from playoff hopes (maybe there are? I really don't know). If there is a chances its beyond slim. Both these teams looking to finish the season more as spoilers or could be looking towards draft position. The BER week 16 matchup could end up being game of the week for 1oa!
Thanks for reading. I do no back any of my statements here and wish you the best of luck figuring out what is actually right and what is wrong.
