(Ready to be graded)
The Southwest foxes having been looking like the best team in the prospect bowl. They've had two dominating wins and look this continue their streak. Below, I'm going to break down the two games they've played.
Southwest Foxes vs. Pacific Owls.
This was a huge game for the Foxes, and set up the hype for today's big game against the Grizzlies. The Taffyman started the hype train by rushing for a three yard touchdown off the rip. A 38 yard field goal by Judson Bowman sealed the First quarter.
A 2 yard touchdown for the Taffmeister set the ball in motion, and a monsterous 56 yard field goal by Judson Bowman set the Foxes in motion to take over the game.
In the third, the defense was able to hold on the Owls to just 10 points, as the offense cooled down from their hot start.
In the fourth, Mister Big Chest caught an 11 yard pass and that was the last points of the game for the Foxes
Standouts: Brock Landers. He looked to be the best human QB of all prospects who were in the bowl week 1, with 205 yards on 20/28 passing. To top off this performance, he also racked up a touchdown.
Terry Taffy: He looked the arguably the 1/2nd best human RB all of the bowl. He had a phenomenal blocker in Stronglegs, that tallied 3 pancake blocks. Taffy got offensive player of the week, tallying 2 touchdowns and 122 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per attempt, second in the bowl. He will be a player to watch versus the Grizzlies.
Big Chest and Thornton: I looped them together cause they had pretty similar stats. Averaging 12 yard per catch, our receiving corp is very good as long as they are out here catching all of Landers passes. They look to torch the Grizzlies stout defense.
Southwest Foxes versus. Central Grizzlies
The most hype game of the week resulted in another dominant performance by the Foxes. The defense wasn't entirely ready in the first quarter, as they gave up 10 points. The offense didn't start up until the second, where Taffy lead the Foxes with a one yard touchdown. Troy Bryant got a 41 yard interception for a score-- freaking monster. Judson Bowman continuing his killstreak with a 30 yard field goal. Two field goals in the third for 25 and 38 yards for Bowman. The last score for the Foxes came in the fourth, where Taffy ran for an 8 yard touchdown. 30-13.
Standouts: Terry Taffy.
Again winning offensive player of the week, he went in on 120 yards with 2 touchdowns. Another shout out needs to be made to Stronglegs, who had 4 pancake blocks. That duo is going to continue to torch defense as their chemistry improves.
Big Chest and Thornton
This receiving tandem continues to dominate as Big Chest put up 97 yards and Thornton had 60. They both average around 12 yards per catch and will continue to most likely dominate opposing defenses. They will be players to watch.
Tyme
The defensive player of the game was instrumental to stopping the Grizzlies as he had a whooping 11 tackles. He will look to continue that hotstreak throughout the bowl and is quickly emerging as a top prospect.
Bode and Johnson
These defensive rocks both had 9 tackle each. They continue to add to the Foxes strong defense. They will be important pieces in the coming weeks and especially in the playoffs.
These have been fun to watch---and to break down!
