Fawn takes the podium......
"Um, hi" he says nervously
Thanks for the questions! I'm also thrilled the Sailfish were able to pick me up!
1. I'm super pumped about being able to enter the NSFL this season already! Its something I've been working for a long time towards, and I'm excited to show what I can do on the football field. Again, the first couple of seasons are probably gonna be pretty rough. I'll have receivers blazing past me and will more than likely be trucked to Narnia by a 1000 TPE running back but it's all about the process and this is something everyone goes through upon entry to the league. I've also got another great linebacker, Haha Mango panda alongside me and I know we'll be able to accomplish great things together and that he'll have my back throughout these exciting times!
2. Jeez, super tough question. Honestly though, I think it'd have to be my man Eddie Jeeta. We've known each other since the very beginning from the Birddogs prospect chat, and being able to stay alongside him on the Coyotes was a great experience for me. He's been nothing but supportive and helpful to everyone and is a crazy talented player/earner, so I know that not only would he be a great player for Sarasota on the field, but also in the locker room.
2. At the moment I'm focused on getting my career off to the right start on the Sailfish and making the most of my opportunities here, so post retirement plans aren't on my mind too much. However, I'd love to follow in the footsteps of my idol, Booger McFarland, and get into announcing eventually. But, I'm really not sure just yet, so I may just spend my time with my son Mike Oxlong to prepare him for a career in the NSFL aswell.
1. Thanks! Tricky question. I know we've got some great talent on the team and that eventually we'll go on to accomplish great things, but I think the first season at least will be somewhat subpar. Im going to go with 6-8. A pretty good record for a first season that I think we'll definitely be able to improve on in the coming years.
2. Yes! We've already got a howlie replacement, boogerfish, going so things are great! Everyone has been really welcoming and kind so far and the atmosphere has been amazing! I know this is a group of players who are dedicated to what we do and that we'll all do our best to constantly improve!
3. I'll definitely miss the Coyotes locker room. Entering the DSFL I was nervous about what the environment would be like and whether or not I'd be able to get along with the players, but the Coyotes locker room almost instantly destroyed those fears! It was the perfect place to spend my first season and I'll always be grateful for all the guys in there who made our last season possible. In terms of who I miss the most, its really tough to say. Everyone brought so much to the table, I'll never forget Nuniq's madden theories or your constant meme spam. The howlie/stonks texts one after the other and stars weekly player of the game sigs were all so great!
2. 69
3. Most definitely Haha Mango Panda. The days leading up to the draft I'd look up my name in the forums to see where I was put on the latest mock draft, and every time I'd be behind Panda. Obviously he's a great player and a great guy overall, but I would like to pass him TPE wise! Nothing serious, but I do definitly think it'll make me more committed to the league, which is kind of why I was kind of triggered this morning when I realized I hadn't submitted my AC/Weekly training for last week. Consider that a bit of a head start!

Quote:Hi there Fawn. May I call you Fawn? Or do you prefer Mr. Dillmiballs?I think my name really works best when you say the whole thing. Not sure why just something I've noticed. But in terms of being drafted, I'm super excited! I've been working for a long time to get to this point, and to be recognized for my accomplishments by a team like Sarasota feels amazing. I'm super excited to get into the season with a bunch of awesome players and I hope we can accomplish something amazing! I know the first couple of seasons may not go the way we hope they will given that we're an expansion team and that's usually the case, but I know that eventually the ball will get rolling and no one will be able to stop us!
How excited are you to be drafted?
Quote:Hi, I am more than thrilled that the Sailfish were able to pick you up!
How do you feel about being called up to the NSFL already this season?
If you could take one S22 off any team and put them on Sarasota, who would it be and why?
Thanks for the questions! I'm also thrilled the Sailfish were able to pick me up!

Quote:How disappointed were you to not go #69 in the NSFL draft?1. I could say that I was pretty dissapointed to not get picked up #69, but I'm really not. Obviously it would've been really awesome and quite nice, but I'm mainly thankful I was picked up by a team who appreciates me for my talents and is willing to trust me through the start of my career at least. I'd like to congratulate Dex Kennedy though for taking the 69th overall pick, its quite the honor. *mutters something under breath*
Do you have plans for after your career, maybe announcing?

Quote:Congrats on going to Sarasota! Whats your prediction for Sarasotas record this season. Thanks for the questions Ismael! Hope you're having a great time in Colorado! *winks*
Are you enjoying your new Locker Room?
Are you gonna miss the Coyotes Locker room and who do you miss the most?

Quote:Have you fondled anything since the draftHmm, let me think. 1. My nuts of course, how could I not am I right. 2. My nuts again just for good measure. and 3. My nuts again yeah that's pretty much it.
Quote:Sarasota is an expansion team so many are expecting a few seasons of struggling. How long do you think it will be before the sailfish are competitive? Do you see yourself as a long term contributor to that process?Great question! I totally get that the Sailfish may not be as competitive as some of the other NSFL teams the first couple seasons, but I think we'll definitely be able to turn it around by the third season. The first two seasons or so will be the most difficult, but ater that, as long as we keep earning, I think we will definitely be quite a viable team. I do see myself as a long term contributor to the process. Its an incredible honor to be among the first players to play on this team and I'm not going to let a couple mediocre seasons dissapoint me. I know the GMs are in the same boat and I hope we can work together as a unit to accomplish great things in the future.
Quote:1) What was your draft experience like? Did you feel any sort of way waiting to hear your name called?1. My draft experience was awesome! Unlike the first time around, when I was fairly certain I was going to go 69th overall, this time I knew my name could be called at any time. I was watching the draft for the first 37 picks actually, and then went to go grab my taco delivery and my phone started blowing up saying I was drafted. So obviously I had to go run to check the team and whatever, and I got so caught up in talking to the KCC LR and all that that I forgot about my tacos. Didn't matter though since cold tacos taste good when youre happy!
2) What number will you be wearing in Sarasota?
3) Who do you see as a friendly competition in the Sailfish lr and on the field?
