Hello and welcome to part two of me(Tylus) and my partner in crime’s (BenDover) first official team needs article. Last time we took a deep look into ASFC needs team by team and position by position. We’ll be following the same format today for our NSFC needs list. I(Tylus) will be taking a look at Baltimore, Sarasota, Philadelphia, and Yellowknife. I(BenDover) will be analyzing Chicago and Colorado. Once again, if there is anything inaccurate or you feel differently about any needs we’ve mentioned, feel free to let us know! We are always trying to improve and make our content as good as possible, so feedback is appreciated. Thanks for checking out our article, and let us know what you think.

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] Baltimore Hawks [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]
QB - Chika Fujiwara has to be my favorite young quarterback in the NSFL. While a very young player, only in their second season so far, they’ve racked up an impressive 466 TPE. A young leader for a very young Baltimore team, Chika should be their star quarterback for many years to come. I see no reason the Hawks should draft a qb for any reason at all. Baltimore has other needs to address that are much more important and is unlikely to even know the names of any quarterbacks in this class. If I were the Hawks I would be stoked and confident in having Fujiwara as a leader for this team for the future.
RB - Baltimore has a STACKED squad of running backs, and even though they are on the bottom rung of teams, record-wise, they are very good at running the ball. Second in the league in yards, less than 50 yards behind the league leading Wraiths, this team can run the ball well. Starting running back Apollo Reed, while top 5 in the league in yards, is definitely getting older. The smart GMs in Baltimore beat me to the punch in this respect, with 2nd and 3rd year running backs being drafted in season twenty and twenty-one. Darrel Williams, the future starter for the Hawks, is nearing 700 TPE on the season, and his future backup, Rick Skuff, is quietly getting better and better, with over 330 TPE. All things considered, Baltimore should be set for years to come in the running back department, and doubtful to address this position group for at least a couple more seasons.
WR - The Baltimore Hawks have four active players in the wide receiver room this year. With Errol Maddox retiring, young star wideout Asher Quinn will be filling his shoes as the WR1 for the Hawks next year. At nearly 600 tpe in their fourth season, Asher Quinn is definitely a force to be reckoned with, and should be for more seasons to come. Sitting behind Quinn are season twenty-one and twenty-two players Chris Kross and Nick Kaepercolin. While Kross was the third wide receiver on the depth chart for Baltimore, he should become a solid WR2 on next year's roster. At 517 TPE Cross is just behind Quinn and they both should be standout players. Nick Kaepercolin is, from personal experience, a beast of a receiver. While staying down a year in the DSFL Kaepercolin has proved that he was worth the pick spent on him. Climbing to nearly 350 TPE this season, and in the top 5 in both yards and touchdowns. With these players in mind, the Baltimore wide receiver room should be solid next year, and they should have very low need to upgrade this position.
TE - The Hawks are putting their tight end hopes in 2nd year player James Lewandowski, who is at a solid, for how young he is, 324 TPE as of this article. Considering his age, and how active he is as a user, the Hawks have little reason to look for a replacement, other than depth, or to use as a backup wide receiver for whatever reason. Very low need for Baltimore at tight end.
OL - Byron Dolls is the resident offensive lineman for Baltimore, at 368 TPE and only in his second season, he should be a powerhouse protector for Chika and beyond. Having a strong force at offensive line is really nice for the Hawks, but considering how run-based they are offensively, I imagine they will definitely be scouting and looking for more depth here during this year's draft. I’m going to stop here and rep two of the guys in Minnesota, Dick Thunder and Julio Jones. Minnesota has the best offensive line in the DSFL for a reason, and I expect Baltimore to take a long hard look at both of these guys, as they both will be centerpieces to any offensive line they get drafted to. The Hawks may feel that they need to work on other positions, or may find that one active human offensive lineman is enough. As I’m still learning how important it is to have more than one offensive lineman, I would say that Baltimore should, but may not go in this direction.
DE - Out of the two starting defensive ends for Baltimore, one of them is active. Matt Hole, is very young, only in his second season, although a decent earner at 249 TPE. On the other side of the defensive line we have Terry Taffy who, while at a decent but low 370, is inactive and highly in regression. Defensive end will definitely be a position targeted by the Hawks during this year's draft, whether early or late, I’m almost positive we’ll see a new big end on the Baltimore roster by this time a few weeks from now. Medium to high need.
DT - Like defensive end, the Hawks only have a single active defensive tackle on the roster, that being rookie Nuniq Annastesia. Annastesia, at 253, should be able to be a good player for the team next season with more growth. But with other starting defensive tackle Sardine Bean inactive at 278 TPE, Baltimore will need to begin searching for a long term answer for this position. Considering the TPE and only having one active, this position is as much of a need, or more so, than defensive end. I expect the Hawks to use an early pick here.
LB - The two active linebackers on the Hawks roster, Derred De Ville and Dax Kennedy are both incredibly talented players for Baltimore. De Ville, pushing close to almost 400 TPE in only his second season, should end up being one of the premier linebackers in the entire league sooner than later. Dex Kennedy is also one of my favorite players in the DSFL and on the Grey Ducks roster, having an amazing defensive season. With over 100 tackles, 6 for a loss, a forced fumble, and 8 sacks, Kennedy is considered one of the best defensive players in the DSFL. Having both of these young linebackers is a blessing for the Baltimore Hawks, and they shouldn’t have a huge need at this position for a while, unless they want to have 3 active players in the position.
CB - With Juan Marston, the highest TPE cornerback on the Hawks roster, seemingly inactive, the two second-season cornerbacks picked by the Hawks last draft will have to step up. Good thing for Baltimore, is that both players are incredibly active, pushing the mid 350s TPE, both cornerbacks are starter quality next season, and the Hawks secondary shouldn’t miss a beat. I do not see Baltimore pushing for this position group early in the draft, but they may go for a depth pickup later on.
S - Baltimore has two season 15 safeties starting this season, one of whom is inactive. All other safeties on the roster are inactive and at 100 TPE or less. Considering the regression by their two starters, safety is a huge need for the Hawks. With this draft class being loaded at safety, the Hawks should be able to get their guy at some point, barring some very unlucky situations. Picking 2nd overall, Baltimore should be able to shore up safety or the defensive line in the first 2 or 3 rounds.
K/P - With Veteran kicker Forthe Brand deep in regression as well as inactive at this point, Baltimore may decide they need a new kicker. It’s becoming more and more apparent how important having a guy with a good leg is, and with only two notable punter/kickers in this draft in Stein and Phastbawls, they might have to bite. We might see the Hawks snag one of these players if the value is there or they think one of them is their guy. Kicker/punter is a medium need for Baltimore.
Major Needs: OL/DE/DT/S/K
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] Chicago Butchers [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By BenDover)[/div]
QB - Despite being a Fan Favorite, Franky LaFleur is going away after this season, but the Butchers do have a send down waiting in the pipeline, George O’Donnel. After being traded by the Outlaws, who already have their quarterback position locked up for at least another four+ seasons, so the Butchers took advantage and picked up their QB of the future after the retirement and trading of Rose Jenkins to Sarasota. O'Donnell is a 451 TPE S21 player who should become the core piece of the rebuild for many seasons. Don’t expect Chicago to look in this direction for another 6+ seasons.
RB - The Butchers have 2 running backs on the roster, inactive S15 Farley Hank, and rookie S22 draftee Julio Tirtawidjaja, in which Tirtawidjaja is the future in this scenario. Tirtawidjaja will be another core piece of the rebuild, while Hank is left to regress and be used as depth until he is auto-retired. That being said, in the future, I expect Chicago to acquire another quality active RB in the next two drafts to have a great one-two punch with Tirtawidjaja in the future.
WR -Chicago only has one active at this position, Sean O’Leary, a common trend that is seen throughout this team. Although there is only one active, he is a good one being very young, S19 with 841 TPE so he will be the number 1 receiving option for many seasons to come, being a perfect pair for George O’Donnell in this rebuild that craves active, earning players more than any other franchise. I would look for Chicago to look to take a WR in one of the early rounds this draft and maybe double dip if needed.
TE - The Butchers only have 1 active at the position, and it is a good one, Von Hayes, a rookie S22 player with 241 TPE, which might seem low for a starting TE, the user of the player seems to be all in on the chicago rebuild, and hopes to be the vertical and blocking threat of the future of Chicago, and he writes great media as well, which goes to show his activity level, and makes Chicago very happy of their draft choice that will benefit them in the future.
OL - Chicago has no Offensive line send downs or players on their roster, if they want to be trendy they could pick up any of the standout linemen from this draft like Julio jones, or Dick Thruster, or the recently inactive turned active Dick Thunder. Look for them to pick one in the middle rounds if one of the above are still available.
DE - Chicago has 2 Defensive Ends on their roster, Stevie Vassallo, a S19 inactive player with 302 TPE, and Simeon Works, a S22 player with 255. For this position in the future, the main goal seems to be developing whatever prospects they had with their limited picks in the S22 draft, and Works seems to be a very developable prospect for them in the future. I see them taking a shot on a defensive end in the middle round of the draft if they are available, securing another key cog to their rebuild of the defensive front.
DT - After trading veteran and regressing DT Thorian Skarsgard for a third round pick, it left John Smirh, a GM player for the Butchers from S21 with 504 TPE. Also on the roster is inactive Trae Bacon, a S18 player with a measly 159 TPE gained. This position is set with a great earner, and as his user is the GM, don’t expect this position to have any major changes in the future. I would expect Chicago to take a look in this direction however to have a new DT2, as Bacon isn’t going to be beneficial in the rebuild, and an active would be better for the position Chicago is in at the moment.
LB - This is one of the stronger positions on Chicago’s roster, having 3 linebackers on the roster, along with 2 actives, being Mike Hockhertz and Benson Bayley Jr. Bayley being another GM for the team, being their second round pick in the S22 draft and also is a great earner for the team, who when paired with S19 Hockhertz, will form one of the best young LB cores in the league, which will go a long way for their rebuild. I don’t expect Chicago to look this direction in the draft, maybe in 1 or 2 seasons if they are looking for a 3rd active LB.
CB - This is a position that seems dire at first for the Butchers, with them only having 2 CBs on the Roster, including TE turned CB Osiris Firestorm-Fjord, a S21 first round pick that has lived up to it, unlike many of Chicago’s picks prior, and also inactive S15 Xerxes Ridley. But the Butchers do have a hidden gem in send down Tyron Shields, a semi-active player during his first season, now max earner for the Grey Ducks will be a great new piece to the now defense focused rebuild for the Butchers. I don’t see the Butchers using any big picks on CB, but if one starts to fall, they won’t hesitate to pick up a 3rd active to round out their core.
S - The Butchers have one of the steals of the draft at this position, in S22’s Hamish MacAndrew who has 316 TPE, but he is constantly putting out media, and is a very good active pick that the Butchers had been lacking in these past couple of drafts. This is another good pick by the new management Butchers, who have secured a young player in most defensive positions. I could see the Butchers picking up a second Safety in the future, as this would complete their defense that should maintain throughout the rebuild.
K/P - The Butchers have S22 active Sam Sidekick, he should be a lock for the next 7 seasons, so no change is needed here.
Major Needs - DE/WR/OL/RB
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] Colorado Yeti [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By BenDover)[/div]
QB - The Yeti have the best QB in the league TPE wise, with Wolfie McDummy, amassing 1371 TPE to this point, but he is S16, so this is his last year of his prime, so the Yeti should be looking for his replacement soon. The Yeti foresaw this, and decided to draft QB Sim Snowbow out of the Grey Ducks with 202 TPE. While Snowbow’s user is one of the nicest and most liked people in the league, he is a middling earner and that could be an issue for replacing McDummy in the future. I believe that the Yeti are fine at this position for now, but if Snowbow’s earning continues to lack, the Yeti might draft another QB in the next 2 drafts.
RB - The Yeti have two Running Backs on their roster who are active, them being S17’s Ashley Owens, and S18’s Michael Vincent both earning well. Even though Vincent has basically half of what Owens has in regards to TPE, it is fine for being a counterpart to Owens, who is the primary back. These Running Backs are two and 3 seasons away from regression respectively, but the Yeti have a backup plan in Richard Gilbert, a send down from the huge S22 class, who is on pace to out earn Vincent, and eventually take over the starting job. I don’t think the Yeti need to look in this direction for a couple of seasons, until they find a need for a RB2 to Gilbert.
WR - Prior to this season, the Yeti seemed to have a glaring hole at receiver, with only having deep in regression S12 player James Bishop, and inactive WR Jake Dropson from S15. In order to fix this problem, the Yeti went heavy on WR in the S22 draft, picking up William Lim, send down Leeroy Jenkins, to pair with S21 selection Red Arrow. These three are all great earners, and the Yeti should not even look in the direction of WR for a couple of seasons.
TE - The Yeti have two actives at this position, Earl Sauce a S18 player with 791 TPE who is paired with Gronk Robertkowski, a S21 player that has 257 TPE, a good compliment to Sauce who is also very young. This is another position the Yeti do not need to make any changes to going forward, as both have many seasons before regression, and they have a quality backup in Robertkowski.
OL - The Yeti have not followed the new trendy thing to do in the NSFL, which is to have human offensive olinemen, there are a couple of quality olinemen in this draft, so don’t be surprised if the Yeti take a chance on a lineman or two.
DE - The Yeti have 2 active defensive ends in S21’s Immanuel Blackstone, and S22’s Ismael Sanchez, with Blackstone being a max earner, and Sanchez being a middle-of-the-pack earner. This is a position that seems to be locked up for the time being, as both are very young, and the Yeti can treat these players as set and forget as long as they keep their earning pace up. The Yeti should not look in this direction during the draft.
DT - This is one of the Yeti’s strongest positions on the team, starting with GM player Bubba Thumper, who is a S17 player with 1178 TPE, and to pair with him is S22 rookie Mo Magic, another max earner and great locker room presence to be his counterpart for the foreseeable future. This position will be a lock for the Yeti, as even though Thumper hits regression, MAgic will be there to continue being the dominant force in the middle that the Yeti have become accustomed to since Thumper joined the team. The Yeti should not look in this direction until Thumper hits regression, where they should draft another backup.
LB - This is the oldest part of the team, with both Mo Berry and Tony Gabagool being from S15, with Berry being the better LB TPE wise, with 1206, but both are in regression and the Yeti should be looking for a new LB to take the reigns of the LB core. It is possible that the user of Mo Berry, will recreate as a LB, as he is the GM of the Yeti, but drafting one to develop for one season is needed. I believe this to be the number 1 priority for the Yeti and their #1 overall pick this offseason.
CB - The Yeti have 2 cornerbacks in the NSFl, them being S18’s Louisiana Purchase, and S21’s Rotticus Scott both are great earners, totaling 921 and 429 TPE respectively. The Yeti also used a second round pick on Thubba Bumper, another max earning CB that was sent down and will be a great addition to this CB core when he is called up. The Yeti do not need to do anything to this position for many seasons to come.
S - The Yeti have 3 safeties on the Roster, 2 of which are active being S18’s Pete Parker with 825 TPE, and Thor Kirkby, a S20 player with 499 TPE, both of which are very good earners and both complete the Safety role on the team. This position is set for the foreseeable future as they do not have any send downs at this position, and the Yeti do not have to look at this position at all in this draft.
K/P - The Yeti have an active Kicker in Silver Banana, and don’t need to do anything to this position.
Major Needs: LB/OL
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] Philadelphia Liberty [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]
QB - The Liberty have two active quarterbacks on the roster, Brock Phoenix, the starter, and Suleiman Ramza, who is working hard in the DSFL. Phoenix, a season nineteen player at 779 TPE and rising, still has many years ahead of him as the starter for this team. Ramza, at 312 is looking to be the future star for the Liberty in a couple seasons, is currently in the DSFL throwing for the Norfolk Seawolves. With both of these players on the roster for years to come, Liberty is set at quarterback and will not be looking to use a valuable pick adding to an already stacked position group.
RB - Liberty have the highest TPE running back in the league in Sam Torenson, who although hitting a bit deeper regression next season, should still have a few years in the tank as one of the best running backs in the league. Rocking a 2nd highest in the league 1264 TPE, Torenson should be considered one of the best, if not the best back in the league. Considering his high TPE level, the Liberty shouldn’t need a starter replacement for a few seasons. Even with Torenson leading the team, the Liberty should consider looking into picking up a running back this year, with last year's running back pick J.B. Apollo seemingly inactive almost immediately following the season twenty-two draft. Look for Philly to snag a mid-round running back at the least.
Edit: I was under the impression that Fuzzy Dotson is inactive, but is definitely active and making updates, my bad there. Definitely makes RB much less of a need for Philly.
WR - The Liberty have a very strong wide receiver room this year, with Nacho Varga leading the group with 1114 TPE. The Liberty also field two younger, but talented, wideouts, Randy Vuxta, 565 TPE, and Flash Panda at 433 TPE. Considering Varga’s age, Philadelphia may feel that they need to pick up a receiver to fill his shoes in the future, and will probably have that receiver stay down a year in the DSFL to mature, as Varga still has at least two or three more seasons at a high level left in his tank. Liberty has a good chance at looking in the direction of wide receiver during the upcoming draft.
TE - Philadelphia almost certainly have their tight ends of the future in current start Avon Blocksdale Jr, and DSFL tight end Donatello Arrabiatta. With Blocksdale being a season 19 player and Arrabiatta season 22, and both of them active high earners, there is almost zero chance the Liberty use a pick on this position. Both of these players are solid and young, and with no need to replace them Liberty has their tight end room locked up. No chance they draft another one in my opinion.
OL - The LIberty have one offensive linemen on the roster, and he spent this year down in the DSFL. Simon Tremblay, who is definitely a consistent earner at nearly 400 TPE, will almost certainly be called up and start for Philadelphia next season. That being considered, I see no reason why Philly won’t at least consider taking a look at the offensive line players in this year's draft. Offensive line is proving to be more and more important as more of the research is being done. With all of that in mind, I think the Liberty may swing a mid-round pick upgrading this position, if the value is there.
DE - There are two active defensive ends listed on the Liberty roster as of this moment. The only one actually playing in the NSFL right now is ILove Gimmy, at 541 TPE, he is an active player, but is not updating. The other active defensive end on the roster is Mario VonPebbles, at 299 TPE, is incredibly active and certain to be a future star and anchor for the Liberty next season and well into the future. Considering the lack of updates coming from Gimmy, I do think the Liberty will think about padding their depth at this position, especially considering how defense-centric this team is.
DT - This may be the most important position group to address for Philadelphia this offseason. With only one active defensive tackle on the roster, who has only gone from 108 to 123 TPE this season, and multiple mediocre inactives getting older as well. The Liberty may spend a first round pick here, as they need help from a strong earner in this position and fast. The Liberty are known for their stifling defense, and if they want that reputation to continue, I fully expect them to draft the best defensive tackle they possibly can. This is definitely the position of most need for the Liberty in my eyes.
LB - The Liberty linebackers are young, but high earning, and talented. This group should only get better and better by the season. With two active players from season 20 and season 22, Warren Stephens and Spike Suzuki should be cornerstones to this linebacker core for many seasons to come. Stephens, at 509 TPE, and Suzuki at 297, both of these players should be stars on the defense and have very long careers ahead of them. The only inactive in the linebacker room is Wayne Howyanow, and the Liberty may consider replacing him if the right scenario happens for them. Low need.
CB - Philadelphia have two very, very young, but incredibly high potential cornerbacks from the season twenty-two draft starting for the team already. Brandon Booker and Stuart Little IV are both high earning and solid guys to have growing in the Liberty DB garden. There is no reason that Liberty shouldn’t have this position group locked down for the next 10 seasons or so. Very low need, but may take a late round guy for depth.
S - Wow, deja vu! Philly drafted another two young guys last season at the safety position in Matt Cross and Wesley Eriksen. With veterans safeties Lamont McKinnie retiring and Richard D’Attoria V inactive and hitting deep regression, these two young safeties should have no problem stepping up to the plate and being solid starters for this team next season. Matt Cross at 373 TPE and Eriksen at 350, both of these guys are solid earners and great users. Philadelphia must be ecstatic to have such great young starters all around the DB position. Other than depth or an amazing player sliding to them late, I don’t see them picking up any DBs in early rounds. Going through this has made me realise how great the Liberty drafted last season. Nice job Philly, you guys definitely killed it, and have a ridiculously strong DB group.
K/P - There are no active kicker/punters on the Liberty roster that I can find, and the highest TPE inactive is only at 182. If the Liberty want to have a stronger special teams game, and nail 50+ yard field goals EVER, they need to consider drafting one of the few great kickers that will be in this draft. I will say Phillip Stein nailed a 57 yarder this season and Liberty could be a great home for him. Datsum Phastbawls is also having a nice season. With options of solid earners at the K/P position, Liberty should go out and get their guy of the future.
Major Needs: RB/OL/DE/DT
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] Sarasota Sailfish [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]
QB - The Sarasota Sailfish seem to be lacking an active quarterback based on everything I can see. With veteran quarterback Rose Jenkins retiring, and backup Zach Vega inactive, the Sailfish are going to have to move quickly to find their quarterback of the future. Lacking an active earner in one of the most important positions in the game is really going to hurt Sarasota unless they make a move, and quickly. Very high need.
Edit: Sarasota actually has DSFL quarterback Chris Ramos on the roster. Ramos is a really good player, and an earner, so the Sailfish should actually be set in this position, unlike what I said previously, thanks to the people who let me know about these roster changes!
RB - The Sailfish have two very exciting young players at running back in Dax Frost, who is at 580 TPE in their second season, and Kevin Fakon, slowly but surely pushing his TPE to respectable levels. Considering the youth and earn-rate of these two running backs, I think Sarasota is comfortable with the talent they have at running back. Most likely will not consider a running back during this draft.
WR - With three high earning and talented wide receivers in Dexter Banks II, Rayne Gordon, and Michael Witheblock, the sailfish have a respectable squad at this position. Gordon and Witheblock, both being on the younger side, in their 4th and 2nd seasons respectively, and consistent on the earning side. Banks is starting to age, but should still have at least a couple more seasons to perform at a high level, considering his TPE is over 1000. The Sailfish may choose to snag a middle round wide receiver to have waiting in the wings for when Banks begins to regress. Receiver is a medium to low need for Sarasota.
TE - Sarasota fielded a season 13 inactive tight end this season, who will almost certainly not be on the team next season, if not deep on the bench. Lucky for Sarasota they drafted amazingly at tight end during last year's draft. James Angler, 325 TPE, and Clark Boyd, 190 TPE, are both solid earners and should be exactly what the Sailfish need. You might even see Sarasota forgo drafting a wide receiver and play one of these guys at the position when Banks inevitably regresses or retires some day. You won’t find Sarasota looking in the direction of this year's tight end class.
OL - The Sailfish have one of the best offensive linemen in the entire National Simulation Football League in season 16 veteran Laszlo Forty-two. At well over 1200 TPE Forty-two is not only one of the highest TPE offensive linemen, but players in general. Even hitting regression, he should still be an anchor for the Sailfish o-line for at least another season or two, barring retirement. The Sailfish also have an active offensive lineman waiting to be called up in Joey McCabe, who while only at 198 TPE at the moment, is active and earning. Even having two active on the roster, we might see Sarasota snag another, because why not have more? Offensive line is a low to medium need for the Sailfish.
EDIT: I was informed that Mr. Forty-two is actually a member of the Wraiths, making OL a much bigger need for the Sailfish than I previously stated.
DE - With three active season 18 defensive ends on the team, this might not be a big position of need for next season. While talented at the position, considering the incoming retirement of Mike Franchet, and the encroaching ages of Steco Ocewilder and Fabricio Baldari, I believe the Sailfish will take a young defensive end to groom for the future given the opportunity and value of the player at their picks. Definitely a position of need, but the Sailfish may believe they can get greater value at another position early.
DT - The starting defensive tackle for Sarasota is one of the oldest players I’ve come across. Freezer Riposte was drafted all the way back in season 12, but considering his TPE, still had enough juice for this season. This will not be the case next year. The Sailfish do have one of the most talented and highly respected rookies in Cuco Clemente, who at 371 TPE is one of the strongest defensive tackles in his draft class, and should be a standout player for Sarasota for the indefinite future. That being said, they should still look into the position, with Franchet retiring, they will need to find an active defensive lineman to take over and complete the position group. Medium to high need.
LB - The Sailfish hit double homeruns during last year's draft, able to get two of the best linebackers in the class in Haha Mango-Panda and Fawn Dillmiballs. Mango-Panda, at 351 TPE, and Dillmiballs at 307 are sure to become leaders and star players for the young expansion team for years to come. Considering the strength of their linebacker core with these two players, I’d be surprised to see them go linebacker early or mid draft. Other than depth, I don’t think the Sailfish are very interested in improving an already skilled position group.
CB - Sarasota has two veterans at the cornerback spot, Lucas Knight, a very talented cornerback at 969 TPE will be eating more regression next season. Jordan Andrews, while a couple of years younger, is nearly as talented on the turf, with a TPE count of 705, and should be the starting Cornerback next season. While I would say that they have a need to draft a replacement for Knight soon, they have three very young safeties on the roster, and might consider using one of them at cornerback this upcoming season. With the depth at the safety position, I’d say this is a position that can be upgraded, but isn’t as important as other positions of need.
S - As I just mentioned, the Sailfish have a very deep safety room. With a season 20 and two season 22 players on the roster at safety, all of whom are active earners, there is little incentive for Sarasota to use a valuable pick on a position that is already overflowing with talent. Barring something like using a safety at cornerback and deciding they need some more depth, I have little doubt in my mind that Sarasota will not be picking a player at this position.
K/P - Having drafted a kicker/punter in last years draft, the Sailfish have zero need at this position. Jacob Small, at 212 TPE, has been a steady earner, and should be making kicks and punts for the fishies sooner than later. No need for kicker here.
Major Needs: OL/DE/DT
[div align=\\\"center\\\"] Yellowknife Wraiths [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"](By Tylus)[/div]
QB - Cooter Bigsby, who is having a lights out year for the Wraiths, with over 3000 yards, 29 touchdowns, and an amazing 93.6 quarterback rating on the regular season. Bigsby will be entering deeper regression heading into next season, but considering his TPE is at 1062 as of writing this article, the wraiths may choose to run with him for another season. Yellowknife has TWO very talented DSFL quarterbacks on the roster, Chris Ramos, at 317 TPE, and Colby Jack, at 414. Considering Bigsby’s still high tpe, and the insane depth at the position, I see no reason Yellowknife will even look at quarterbacks for the foreseeable future. The Wraiths are absolute monsters when it comes to their quarterback room.
Edit: I've been informed that Ramos is actually a member of Sarasota now, thanks again for the heads up.
RB - Another stacked position group for the Wraiths, Yellowknife might have the best running back core in the entire National Simulation Football League. With powerhouse and star running back Mathias Hanyadi, and up and coming rookie running back Acura Skyline already making waves and cutting into Hanyadi’s production, the Wraiths have the strongest rushing attack by far this season. With the most yards and touchdowns gained on the ground, the Wraiths are potent on the ground. Barring a future replacement for Hanyadi, which I find doubtful, Yellowknife is almost certain not to take a running back in the season twenty-three draft.
WR - The Wraiths host a pretty solid core of wide receivers on the roster this year in Swift, Rodriguez, and Hardagain. Based on the TPE tracker, Hardagain is currently inactive, and Nate Swift will be entering very deep regression next year. Lucky for Yellowknife, they drafted two of the most active wide receivers in season twenty-two. Mike Lee and Susan Cash Jr, at 318 and 321 TPE respectively, are both working hard in the DSFL to be ready for the big leagues next season, and based on their earning rate, they almost certainly will both be called up and replace Hardagain and Swift, barring Swift staying for another season this deep in regression. The Wraiths seemingly have their offensive skill positions locked up for the next few seasons at least.
TE - Yellowknife has 0 tight ends on the starting NSFL roster this season, but did draft a player to fill that role during last season's draft. Zee Rechs, who climbed from 124 TPE to 193 during this season, should be on his way to a starting role. With the gains being made by this player, the Wraiths should have their tight end of the future locked up. Unless they see a tight end in this draft who is a generational player, they should be locked in on Rechs to come in next season and make his presence felt.
OL - There are zero offensive linemen on the Yellowknife roster, in either the NSFL or DSFL right now. Considering the research coming out by some of our really talented members of the league, I believe the Wraiths will look to address this. Having a stronger group of offensive line should only help their potent rushing offense, and I believe they are aware of this fact. With the few but very talented offensive linemen in this draft class, I believe that Yellowknife will use an early to mid round pick or more shoring up their trenches.
Edit: I was informed that Laszlo Forty-two is a member of the wraiths. With that in mind, the Wraiths may not have as much of a need in that position as I was initially thinking they would.
DE - The Yellowknife Wraiths are extremely talented at defensive end. Having star player Nero Alexander above an astounding 1200 TPE, even heading into deeper regression, should be able to play for at least another season at an incredibly high level. Behind Alexander on the depth chart are two active and very high earning players in James Cho, 375 TPE, and Patrik Money, currently at 364. With the active and high earning depth behind one of the most talented defensive ends in the entire league, the Wraiths seem to be very strong going into the future with this group of guys. I don’t see Yellowknife using an early pick on defensive end, barring an insane slide from a very high talent player.
DT - Giannis Kroustis is the only active defensive tackle listed on the Wraiths roster as of writing this article. While currently at a respectable 809 TPE, Kroustis will be entering fairly deep regression next season. With the lack of active players on the roster and Giannis Kroustis getting older, Yellowknife has a very high need at this position. There is a lot of talent at defensive tackle in this draft, and I would expect to see the Wraiths take a Defensive tackle with one of, if not their first pick this year.
LB - A very solid group for Yellowknife, the linebacker position is one they may not look into this year very closely. Having Maurice Virtanen as a strong veteran force at 1060 TPE, and a young, but high earning and active player in Douglas Quaid at 547 TPE and rising, make this group a solid one for this team. I could see them potentially grabbing a middle to later round linebacker on a flyer, just to have depth and a possible future contributor at the position.
CB - Cornerback is a position that the Wraiths will almost certainly need to address this year. While they have two active and high TPE players in Mervin Leonard and Johnny Snuggles, 1063 and 890 TPE, both of these players are entering regression next season, with Snuggles getting into very deep regression. The Wraiths have zero active cornerbacks behind these two, and with cornerback being such an important position in the league, they may use a first round pick to find a future replacement. I would be extremely surprised to see Yellowknife not address this position group during the draft.
S - Where Yellowknife lacks at cornerback they make up for at safety. Even with Danny Grithead and Chase Jensen getting ever closer to potential retirement and deep in regression, the Wraiths have four active replacements for these guys waiting in the wings. Johnny Hellzapoppin has already made a name for himself, starting for the Wraiths at safety this season with 374 TPE and climbing. Yellowknife has three more active safeties waiting in the DSFL for their chance to show what they can do. Jon Bois, Magnus Valdyr, and Ed Ball are all active players on the roster, and the Wraiths should have no problem reloading here. They may even forgo drafting a cornerback with the amount of depth they have at safety.
K/P - Dougie Smalls is a solid kicker and punter for Yellowknife, and should be the kicker of the future for this team. A season twenty-one player, Smalls is a steady climber and active earner at 463 TPE so far. The Wraiths will not draft a kicker this year, or for the next few years at least.
Major Needs: OL/DT/CB Lower need but may still draft: LB/TE

[div align=\\\"center\\\"] NSFC Team Needs [/div][div align=\\\"center\\\"]By: Tylus and BenDover[/div]
