The second year of the casino has come and gone and now it's time to reflect a bit and then tell you what's coming down the line. First, let's address the elephant in the room. We again did not take money out of the economy this season. Originally that was going to be the catalyst for whether we continued but after reviewing details and results, I decided to waive that. We added about $3.7 Million to the economy so it wasn't exactly a huge loss. That can be directly tied to a Bingo being a brand new game that cost us quite a bit of money as we got a handle on it (as games sometimes do). So yes, casino year 3 is a go. So let's tlka about what's bieng added this coming season.
First things first, Nykonax is being promoted from Intern to full on member of the team. IthacaHawk has been brought on to the team as well. Finally we're looking at a new Intern (applications are HERE if you're interested). Beyond that the rest of the group remains the same with Vorshayla as our advisor, TropicalliaCC as our live-in banker, and VoicelessCreator and Istegosauruz as our lead analysts. And me. I'm the damn fool that sh....wait nm....sorry. That's another thing.
We've got a couple of fun things cooked up too. In addition to the return of game bets, parlays, and season prediction tournaments.....there's new ELO based system that will allow you to buy and sell stock in teams. A whole system has been built form the ground up that should create a lot of interesting decisions. We got excited enough that we had to immediately pause and make rules that would ensure that we could play this one, too. We have a brand new Survivor tournament ready to go. If you've never played Survivor, it's as the name implies. You pick a team to win a game each week (with no repeats). Last person standing wins 1st prize.
In addition to those new things we are looking forward to an expanded number of prop bets. They were a popular introduction late last season and something we've been working toward since day 1. We have more ideas here than we can conceivably introduce immediately so look for this one to keep growing as we go along. Finally, we have Bingo. The new game proved very popular early but as necessity forced it to be tightened up (*cough losing $44 million cough*) the game's popularity waned some. This season we're gonna do something a bit different. Tournaments. A chance for you to possibly win more without me having to sell Steg's kidneys to pay for it. Sorry Steg. I'm pretty hopeful that you'll enjoy it.
And that folks is where we are. Cheers! For the entire team, thank you for playing with us.
