Pack Opening Review. Episode Two. Let's do this!
We opened the first pack last episode, it's time for the second one. But let's see where the pulls stand after last time:
Total cards opened: 6
Legend (Blue): 0 - 0%
All-Pro (Red): 0 - 0%
Star (Gold): 2 - 33.33%
Starter (Silver): 2 - 33.33%
Backup (Bronze): 2 - 33.33%
The targeted cards are the same. The three Kroustis cards. I will not cry about any other high rarity card, but a goal is a goal. shrugs. Let's open the pack though and get going with this.
The first card is Hingle McCringleberry, a season 23 linebacker. He was drafted by the Chicago Butchers in the, how Van would like to say, International Simulation Football League (Van, if you are reading this, I love you man. No tag, I know you will see it),Season 23 Draft, and by the Dallas Birddogs in the season 22 prospect draft. I think he got called up immediately. Even if he didn't, he only spent one season in the minors. Bronze rarity, did not like the pull.
Nevertheless, next card. Another bronze, another season 23 linebacker. Austin's Porter Griffin. Honestly, I do not know much about him, apart from the fact his rights belong to Austin. I do not even know if he got called up or not. Shame on me, but it is what it is. Those packs are a chance to learn about players of past and present.
The next card is Yellowknife's legend, I think, Bubba Nuck. Well, Nuck was one of the founders of the team back in season 1, so yes he is a legend. He is only silver though, because, you know, TPE. An important piece of the Yellowknife history in my collection. I will gladly accept that!
Can the next be a good one please? 9 cards in total so far, 2 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze, ugh.
Arbin Asipi III. Baltimore's cornerback of the past. He entered the International Simulation Football League (See Van? Did it again! Proud of me?) back in Season 12. He is a former Ultimus winner. I think he was also a Pro-Bowler, but he happened to have one of the most, if not the most, dominant team to ever show up in the league, despite going 1-4 in Ultimus Bowls, the S16-S23 Yellowknife Wraiths, and I think that's why he didn't win more with that amazing Baltimore team.
HOLY SHIT! Legend Anrdew Reese! The guy was an oasis in a mediocre Arizona roster. Drafted back in Season 11 and, if I remember correctly, played his whole career for the Outlaws. He was on a team that kept bouncing from bottom of the ASFC to barely missing playoffs, to the bottom again. but it's a legend card. I will take it!
Before going to the last card, I want to touch one thing I saw by looking at other collections. Red All-Pro cards have Ruby backgrounds, and Blue Legend cards have Sapphire backgrounds. So I have decided to call them like that in the series. Ruby is All-Pro, Sapphire is Legend. Now we got this out of the way, let's flip the last one, which I think will be a higher rarity, since I got the cards in ascending rarity order. But I may be wrong by a big margin. Let's flip it though.
Backup Martavius Mack. Now I feel sad. It is like that post nut thing where whatever you are looking at look ugly as hell. Apart from the fact that Mack was in the same draft class as Kroustis, I know next to nothing about him. He played for Colorado last time we saw him in the league.
Alright, I am not so disappointed this time. Let's have a look at the table as I have updated it now.
Total cards opened: 12
Legend (Blue): 1 - 8.33%
All-Pro (Red): 0 - 0%
Star (Gold): 2 - 16.67%
Starter (Silver): 3 - 25%
Backup (Bronze): 5 - 41.67%
And that's it for this one folks. I will be back tomorrow with the next pack! Peace!
