- This was the first time in history that at least two universities had multiple first round picks (Ryan Negs and Dogwood Maple - Georgia; Leonard Taylor and LeBron James III - Ohio State)
- Ryan Negs was the first QB taken first overall since S21 (Monterrey Jack)
- The Minnesota Grey Ducks have used their first pick on a different position in each of the last five years.
- Ryan Negs and Cobra Kai combine for the shortest last names of any first and second overall picks in DSFL history.
- The first two offensive players drafted were both quarterbacks. That hasn’t happened since S21 (Monterrey Jack and Colby Jack).
- For the first time since S8, each of the first three overall picks’ first names had five letters or fewer. This year they were Ryan Negs, Cobra Kai, and Derek Wildstar. In S8, it was Kevin Fitzpatrick, Gus Showbiz, and Vinny Valentine.
- Another fun fact about the first three overall picks from S8 - they all were ISFL Pro Bowlers.
- For the first time ever, this year’s Mr. Irrelevant was a safety (Tony Bull, Myrtle Beach Buccaneers).
- In the last nine drafts, Portland has selected three offensive players in the first round.- they’ve all been quarterbacks (LeBron James III, George O’Donnell, Jay Cue).
- There were seven alliterative draft picks this year drafted by a combined four teams. They were Mario Messi, Ty Tyson, Tom Teboat, HH Hopkins, Shaq Shack, Tater Tosser, Julian Jerivicius.
- The final pick of the first round in each of the last eight drafts has been a defensive player. The last offensive selection with the final pick of the first round was RB Marcella Toriki (Norfolk Seawolves).
- Derek Wildstar was just the third draftee in DSFL history to have “star” as a part of their name. Others were Joe Joestar (S23) and Mitchell Stars (S3).
- LeBron James III was the first player with the last name of “James” to be drafted since S18 (Sweet James-Jones)
- There has been a different team selecting first overall in each of the last six drafts.
- In each of the last seven drafts, the 6th overall selection has been a defensive player. This year it was LB Bam Bam McMullet.
- In the last six drafts, there has been at least one player each year with “wood” in their name.
- Ernest Lover is the first “Ernest” to ever be selected in a DSFL Draft.
- The SEC led the way with three first round draft picks. Ryan Negs (Georgia), Derek Wildstar (Texas A&M), Dogwood Maple (Georgia).
- After being selected 8th overall, Alexander Franklin is now the highest drafted OL since S14.
- Norfolk and Tijuana have selected back-to-back in the first round only twice. In both instances, Norfolk drafted a safety and Tijuana drafted a linebacker. This year, it was LB Bam Bam McMullet and S Dogwood Maple. In S22, it was S Adelie de Pengu and LB Griffin Porter.
- For the first time since the inaugural DSFL Draft, there were back-to-back first round picks with the same letter first name - Leonard Taylor and LeBron James III.
- Derek Wildstar is the first “Derek” to be drafted since S11 (Derek Bohne).
- In the last nine drafts, either (or both) of the last two picks of the second round have been on offense.
- Tugg Speedman became the first draftee since S16 to have “Speed” in their last name (Octavius Godspeed)
- For the first time since S21, there were less than two defensive linemen selected in the first round.
- In each of the last four drafts, a safety has been selected in the top five overall.
- This was the first time that London and Norfolk have picked consecutively in the first round.
- Myrtle Beach has drafted a Big Ten player with their first round pick in each of the last two years.
- For the first time since S22, wide receivers were the most selected position.
- For the first time since S18, there were no consecutive same-position picks on defense.
- For just the second time in the last 11 drafts, there were four consecutive picks at the same position. This year, that was wide receiver (Mario Messi, Kemorian Moore, Lalo Salamanca, and Schumi Hulkenvettel).
