Ok let's do this. Keep in mind that this is all hypothetical and I had to do some research into the various cities in order to find out what would fit I if I ever had to rebrand every single team in the DSFL. If this is successful maybe I will do another for the ISFL who knows. Also keep in mind that I used Super Mega Baseball 3 to make the custom logos you will see, which is obviously a Baseball video game so my options were kind of limited. Still it lets me make custom teams pretty reliably.
Also I kept having potential ideas for team names not work with the logos presented in the game, so I will post some of them in the honorable mentions part. This is also completely hypothetical and I tried my best to have each logo represent the cites as well as they could. It was a bit hard finding out what each city is known for, but I think I got at least some decent ideas. My main rule was that I must keep the current team colors in tact, so gold and black for London and yellow and blue for Dallas.
Some of you may ask why the Myrtle Beach Buccaneers have a different color? Well that's because they moved cities and became the Bondi Beach Buccaneers. Shame I liked thier old colors a lot. But without any further ado let's get started. This is in no particular order.
I'm gonna be honest with you: I love the Royals current branding. The black and gold with the regal lion makes for both an intimidating and classy logo. Its one of the best logos in the league, whether its DSFL or ISFL. But still for this hypothetical scenario I have to actually come up with different branding for them just like the rest. So in the end I came up with:
The London Knights. Basically I usually associate places like London with kinghts a lot and this rebranding will also help keep thier gold and black making a lot of sense in the end. Plus it still has that regal feeling in my opinion. Yeah it's kind of basic, but in the end its hard to improve on what is already a really good logo and these SMB3 logos are mostly just here for an idea of what the rebranding could look like.
Honorable mention: London Bulldogs, which could also work but I feel works better with a different color combination.
Alright next is Kansas city and I also like thier branding and colors. I usually associate purple and yellow with the Minnesota Vikings but it does work well with them. But still when I went to look up two things consistently popped up about it: thier barbecue first of all which I will have a honorable mention about and the thing that inspired this team:
The Kansas City Jazz. Surprisingly Kansas City is pretty well known for thier jazz music. I know the logo is just a note but again game limitations. I hope that this branding would be a good way to honor city history. Plus playing jazz music after every win sounds fun.
Honorable mention: Kansas City Hogs, which represent the cites huge history with barbecue. It's definitely a close honorable mention, but I wasn't 100% sure on the idea.
Alright next is Tijuana. I am a huge wrestling fan so I really like the Luchadores name and branding. The colors are also pretty cool. As for the rebranding idea I did not know much about Tijuana so I looked up some things about it and one thing came up consistently that inspired this logo:
The Tijuana Bulls. I know bullfighting is a touchy subject sometimes, but I think a bull is overall a fierce and powerful animal that would serve a team well as its mascot. Hey it worked for Chicago in the NBA. I hope this logo will more represent the powerful bull itself then anyone fighting it.
Alright next is Norfolk and...look it was really hard finding a good logo for Norfolk as I couldn't find anything on what its really famous for overall. But in the end I hope this will work:
The Norfolk Falcons. Basically Norfolk is a big place for bird watching and I would hope this logo would do a good job representing that. Honestly I was considering a parrot logo but I don't think that looks intimidating enough.
Next is the Dallas Birddogs. While I love both birds and dogs its name kind perplexes me. Don't get me wrong they have a good logo and branding I just don't personally get it myself. If I had to change it I would go for:
The Dallas Bandits. Basically for this i am totally going for the old west theme Dallas and Texas as a whole is known for amd I think this logo goes really well with these colors. Plus why don't you represent Dallas more with something more iconic? Unless Birddogs so represent something in Dallas in which case I apologize.
Up next is the Minnesota Grey Ducks and while I like the colors and the Duck logo, I am perplexed why you didn't go with the state animal of Minnesota (unless some PBE or SHL team took it which could be possible):
The Minnesota Moose. If you don't think a moose is an extremely tough animal you haven't been paying attention. I think a moose could mess you up if it tried. Plus its the state animal of Minnesota which makes it obvious for this team.
Ok two more to go and next up is the recently moved Bondi Beach Buccaneers, formerly of Myrtle Beach. First off why did you change the colors? I really liked the purple and green it looked very unique. Anyways it took me a minute to cone up with a logo and I think I came up with a good one:
The Bondi Beach Orca. Honestly things like Sharks and Dolphins are overused nowadays so why not use a killer whale? They are big tough animals and they represent the sea pretty well in my opinion.
Alright last one up is Portland. Now I like the bright orange and green they are using now and I like that they set themselves apart with it and thier current logo. For me it was an easy choice of the animal that is not only the state animal but also the state nickname:
The Portland Beavers. I know a beaver isn't that intimidating (though I am sure those chompers would hurt to be bitten by). Still Oregon is known as the "Beavet State" so I think it fits well. Though a color change might be needed to make it work.
Well that's all 8 DSFL teams rebranded. I hope you all enjoyed it and I can wait for the DSFL draft where a certain frog girl will be waiting to be drafted.
